A beginner shoddy team (Needs Help)

Here's my first Shoddy team. So far, I've gotten a 75-25ish winning ratio.

It's meant to be a rain dance- swift swim team. Here it is:

Big Bertha (Electrode) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Static
EVs: 116 Atk/252 Spd/140 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Taunt
- Thunder
- Explosion
- Rain Dance

Electrode is my lead. It's meant to use taunt to prevent other taunters and stealth rockers. It starts out with taunt to be somewhat of an anti-lead and then use rain dance on the second turn. Here, it can use thunder (100% accuracy) if the opponent might switch into a ghost type or explosion as a last resort or if faced with a ground type. With base 140 in speed and 252 ev's in that stat, there's no way it can be out sped by normal means.

The King (Kingdra) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP/2 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Dragon Pulse

This guy is my special sweeper. If the pokemon currently out on the opponent's side specializes in defense, this guy's going out. Due to swift swim, speed is doubled and surf also gets an additional 1.5x boost as well as STAB to be one heck of a sweeper. Ice beam's for grass types and dragon pulse is just for those in-betweens because of STAB. Draco Meteor is just a last resort in case if it's at low hp due to the life orb.`

Kabutops (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk/128 Def/128 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge

Once the king faints, or if the pokemon on the opponent's side has less defense than special defense, then Kabutops will be sent out. Swift swim will boost his speed as well, so only 128 ev's will go into speed, and the leftover ev's will go into defense. He'll swords dance on the first turn, with the focus sash there to hold him if he takes too much damage, and then he'll sweep the opponent's side. Waterfall is there to be a main STAB + weather sweeping move for most generic enemies. Stone edge for any other water resistant pokemon, and X-scissor for any grass types posing a threat.

Vending machine (Bronzong) @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 200 HP/54 Atk/128 Def/128 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Gyro Ball
- Rain Dance
- Light Screen
- Stealth Rock

In case electrode's rain dance wears off too early, or if it runs out when I want to switch into kabutops from a fainted kingdra, this vending machine will dish out rain dance to stealth rock to light screen. If it's still alive, It'll use gyro ball.

Tee hee hee (Gliscor) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 204 Atk/102 Def/204 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Fire Fang
- U-turn

This guy's my defense against raikou's and any other electric types. It can EQ electric types to heck and might be able to get a swords dance in if there's a predicted switch out on the opponent's side. It can U-turn away if the going gets rough and fire fang if the opponent is a grass type (or ice), due to the resistance against EQ.

Zapdos @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/2 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Agility
- Rest

This is my backup special sweeper. Heat wave and Thunderbolt as default sweeping moves, agility as a stat booster, and rest-chesto berry to heal it if it has taken too much damage.

I hope you can help me fix some loose ends here-and-there.
Thanks. :nerd:

Maybe make Electrode Hasty so you don't reduce its Attack stat. This will make Explosion do more damage. It's not sashed, so it will be more vulnerable to OHKOs with the lowered Defense, but honestly it probably won't survive much either way.

Kingdra looks fine.

Kabutops benefits from Aqua Jet. Even with its boosted Speed, having a STAB, Rain-boosted Priority move is extremely helpful. You might consider trying out Life Orb over Focus Sash, and replacing Swords Dance with Aqua Jet.

I think Bronzong would work better with Damp Rock over Light Clay as your secondary Rain Dancer.

Gliscor and Zapdos are interesting, and they look alright, but I use Jolteon and Scizor and they work very well.
Jolteon is good at absorbing Electric attacks, and with its high speed, it can easily sweep teams that have been weakened during rain. Scizor is great as another priority attacker whose weakness to fire is reduced during rain. Like Jolteon, it can easily clean up what your Rain sweepers leave behind.

The sets I use for these two are:

Jolteon @ Life Orb
Timid / Volt Absorb
4 HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spe
Thunderbolt
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power (Grass)
Thunder

Scizor @ Choice Band
Adamant / Technician
248 HP / 252 Attack / 8 Spe
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Pursuit
Superpower

Hope that helps :)
