A good team, i suppose

Sprnbm036.png

Clefy (Clefable) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Magic Coat
- Heal Bell
- Stealth Rock
- Seismic Toss

Clefable, the best Wallead ever. Magic Coat means if opponent lead use bad moves such as Taunt, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes, Thunder Wave, Leech Seed, they'll bounce back to the user. Even if that doesn't happens, can set up Stealth Rock anyway. That team hates to be paralyzed, and my phisical sweepers don't like burn, so Heal Bell will help on late-games (is Aromatherapy better? lol). Seismic Toss to finish weak opponents, Clefable has an amazing movepool but too low attacks, so i think that's the best offensive movepool. The spread is near random, i don't know if there's another more useful

Sprnbm128.png

Tauros (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Frustration
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Pursuit

Tauros is an amazing phisical sweeper, but never used. Why? I don't know. An amazing 110 Speed, good 100 Atk (also boosted by Choice Band), average defences (75 - 95 - 70). Best STABs are Giga Impact, Double-Edge and Trash, but i don't use them for obvious reasons. Frustration, if with 0 Happiness, has 102 Base Power, not bad. Pursuit to trapkill switching opponents such as Latios.

Sprnbmsh641.png

Tornadus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 88 Atk / 168 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- U-turn
- Crunch
- Brick Break
- Grass Knot

Tornadus kicks ass. 168 SpAtk and not-Jolly to give to Grass Knot enough power to OHKO the omnipresent Quagsire, even if without Stealth Rock damage (otherwise i'll need only 84, or 224 if Jolly. U-Turn is to have a good free-switch, and creates a near perfect coverage with Magnezone. Crunch for Ghosts, and Brick Break especially for Regice and Chansey, worst Special Wall

Sprnbmsh462.png

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch

Magnezone must have more possible Speed, and Timid Scarf means i can outspeed all base 113 or less with positive nature. Thunderbolt and Flash Cannon for STAB, HP Fire to trapkill Steel-types. Metagross and Bronzong, if haven't Earthquake, can't do nothing with Magnezone, that will 2HKO them back. Volt Switch to switch, obviously, lol

Sprnbmsh373.png

Salamence (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Hone Claws
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Rush
- Earthquake

Fifth generation gives Salamence the best move ever for a Mixed Sweeper like him: Hone Claws. Fire Blast and Dragon Rush will never fail, and boosts its Attack (460 after a single user), so i can maximize SpAtk (319). Thanks to the Accuracy boost i can use powerful not 100% Acc moves such as Stone Edge, Hydro Pump, Zen Headbutt, Iron Tail, Elemental Fangs, but i prefere those moves (Earthquake to hit hard Heatran and Chandelure)

Sprnbmsh121.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam

Rapid Spin because i'll do a lot of switch, and Salamence and Tornadus (that have Life Orb too) don't like Stealth Rock damage. Hydro Pump is the best Water STAB it has, Ice Beam and Thunderbolt for coverage, so is only checked from CroCune and Ferrothorn / Forretress. Someone recommended this spread, but i don't know why this one in particular

This team needs a lot of improvement. Switch Clefable for Chancey/Blissey and get rid of hone claws on Salamence. Switch it for draggon dance and get rid of Dragon Rush for Dragon Claws. Get rid of Tauros for anything else, prefably Choice Band Haxsorus. Then use the standard steel trapper Magnezone that is 40Hp 252 SAtk, 216Spd with leftovers, and the moves being substitute, charge beam, Hidden Power Fire and Flash Cannon. Switch the attack and special attack on salamence. Get rid of Thunderwave on starmie for Thunderbolt. For tornadus use an Acrobatics set witha Jolly nature, Flying Gem as an item, bulk up, brick Break and taunt. Go 4HP 252Atk and 252Spd. Really I think that Deoxys-S will work better than Clefable as an Anti-lead as this team is primarly offensive.

Just so you know I really am a good player. I do know what I am taking about and those things will really improve you team. I just dont undersand why you won't even try my ideas if they really could improve your team. I don't mean to me mean I am just trying to help. I have logged a lot of time on PO and I know that these changes to your team will greatly improve your sucess.

If you want to know the reasoning for my comments here it is. Tauros really isnt hitting as hard as some pokemon can. The hardest hitter of all Choice band users is Haxsorus. Really for Clefable if you want an all purpose wall Porygon2 can do most of the same things besides Stealth Rocks which Blissey and Chancey can do. Deoxys-S can also set up Stealth Rocks Kill opponents and prevent entry hazards from going up, eventhough I don't know why you are really concerned about it if you have starmie. Also every team DOES NOT need a rapid spinner in order to sucessful. As for Tornadus the Bulk Up set with Acrobatics, Bulk Up, Brick Break, and Taunt is the best way to use Tornadus if you are not relying on rain. If you go with the standard steel trapper set with Magnezone you will have a lot more sucess getting rid of the steels that bother your team. Since Salamence is mainly a physical attacker you want to put the Special attacking EV's in attack. With Dragon Dance you are much less likely to be revenge killed as he will outspeed most threats. The Power difference between Dragon Claw and Dragon Rish is like nothing for Salamence if you switch his attack and special attack EV's and you can use Dragon Claw relably as soon as you come it. Hone Claws really isn't that good of a boosting move which is why I suggest to get rid of it.

Hi Bruno, nice team. Props for using the underrated Tauros.

First off, I'd slap a Life Orb on Tauros and give him Rock Climb over Frustration. He loses a touch of power, but the ability to switch moves without LO recoil is too good to pass up. Then, I'd change Stone Edge to Rock Slide since it has functionally identical Base Power (2.5 less) with much better accuracy thanks to Sheer Force.

Your Starmie is a more defensive variant, so I'd change Hydro Pump to Surf or Scald since you really need to hit when you attack thanks to your uninvested Sp.A. Your team doesn't really mind faster pokemon either since it's fast already, so Thunder Wave could be changed to Recover for some more longevity, or Thunderbolt for coverage.

I agree with Ace Combat about your Salamence. True, you get more power with the Hone Claws variant, but Salamence's 100 Base Speed isn't winning any awards in Gen V, so Dragon Dance is important to make sure you aren't revenged. If you're concerned about power, I'd change your ability to Moxie, which would render the slight power drop moot after a KO.

I hope that helps. Good luck!

@Ace Combat: Don't take his rejection of your ideas so personally. It's not a statement about you as a battler. It's his choice to decide if he wants to make changes. There's no rule that says he has to test anything.

Clefy (Clefable) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Magic Coat
- Heal Bell
- Cosmic Power

Cosmic Power makes Clefable annoying. I figured SR was the most replacable move, as you have Magic Coat and most teams have something with Stealth Rock.

Sprnbm128.png

Tauros (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Frustration
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Pursuit

Tauros is an amazing phisical sweeper, but never used. Why? I don't know. An amazing 110 Speed, good 100 Atk (also boosted by Choice Band), average defences (75 - 95 - 70). Best STABs are Giga Impact, Double-Edge and Trash, but i don't use them for obvious reasons. Frustration, if with 0 Happiness, has 102 Base Power, not bad. Other moves for coverage. Zen Headbutt, Pursuit and Outrage are other good moves, but i think those are better.
Pusuit is useful for trapping stuff like a -2 Latios after something is sacked.

437.png

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 252hp/84atk/80def/90Sdef (2 speed IVs)
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Stealth Rock/Rest
Bronzong kills Excadrill and Landorus who are a huge issue for this team. Gyro Ball is a STAB, and thanks to the low Speed IVs, hits hard while HP Ice maintains 70 power. SR is optional, scince you have magic coat on Clefable, and can be replaced with Rest if you want.

Sprnbmsh373.png

Salamence (F) @ Life Orb/Lum Berry
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Blast
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Fifth generation gives Salamence the best move ever for a Mixed Sweeper like him: Hone Claws. Fire Blast and Dragon Rush will never fail, and boosts its Attack (460 after a single user), so i can maximize SpAtk (319). Thanks to the Accuracy boost i can use powerful not 100% Acc moves such as Stone Edge, Hydro Pump, Zen Headbutt, Iron Tail, Elemental Fangs, but i prefere those moves (Earthquake to hit hard Heatran and Chandelure)
Dragon Dance has the possiblilty to turn Mence into a frighning sweeper. Lum Berry heals Outrage's confusion, and gives Mence more lifespan.

Sprnbmsh121.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 40 HP / 216 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunder Wave
- Rapid Spin
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam

Thunder Wave isn't a vital move, but is useful to sharply reduce Speed of sweepers. Rapid Spin because i'll do a lot of switch, and Salamence and Tornadus (that have Life Orb too) don't like Stealth Rock damage. Hydro Pump is the best Water STAB it has, and Ice Beam for coverage. Someone recommended this spread, but i don't know why this one in particular

This is an interesting team GL.

Hi Bruno, nice team. Props for using the underrated Tauros.
Tauros is amazing ù_ù

First off, I'd slap a Life Orb on Tauros and give him Rock Climb over Frustration. He loses a touch of power, but the ability to switch moves without LO recoil is too good to pass up. Then, I'd change Stone Edge to Rock Slide since it has functionally identical Base Power (2.5 less) with much better accuracy thanks to Sheer Force.
With my hax moves such as Fire Fang fails too often, Rock Climb has 85, so i'm not sure, but Life Orb + Sheer Force is a very good combo for Tauros! Anyway Stone Edge is boosted by Sheer Force like Rock Slide, so i prefere the first one

Sweepers such as Starmie or Porygon-Z mustn't have Recover, they're too frail. Thunderbolt > Thunder Wave seems good, i'll do that. Hydro Pump > Scald means i can burn (so i can give more EVs on SpDef for a better bulkyness), but, STAB considerade means 60 less power, and that's too much for me, my teams are always Power > Accuracy

That's a big problem. Intimidate means some phisical sweepers must switch, so i can use Hone Claws, but Moxie is more useful... i really don't know what should i do

I hope that helps. Good luck!
That helped a lot, thanks ^^

Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SDef

Yes, maybe, but i'll be stuck against a Ghost... i'll try

Sprnbm128.png

Tauros (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Frustration
- Stone Edge

- Pursuit
Wild Charge isn't so useful, so, now i change

Bronzong @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Sassy
EVs: 252hp/84atk/80def/90Sdef (2 speed IVs)
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
-Hidden Power [Ice]
-Stealth Rock/Rest
I'm in Clear Skies, fuck you Exca!!
I don't think that will help me, and Magnezone is too helpful with Volt Switch... Nah, i won't use Bronzong

Sprnbmsh373.png

Salamence (F) @ Life Orb/Lum Berry
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Blast
- Outrage
- Earthquake
I won't change this, my Salamence is too awesome, i love it with that moves :D

Sprnbmsh121.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 40 HP / 216 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
