That's what I think of Heatran.
Samuel Adams (Heatran) (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Explosion
I've never used this guy before. He's has one of the crappiest designs in the game and is a poor excuse of a psuedo-Legendary Pokemon. With that said, I've always been tempted to put him on my team because of his competitive value.
I figure he has pretty good synergy with Scizor and that alone is reason enough to consider him on my teams (I always use Scizor, he is one of the best designed Pokemon and almost always performs an admirable job despite the plethora of counters flying around).
I choose Lum Berry over Shuca because I do not believe in sacing / losing half my health just to throw out Stealth Rock and it's always obvious which Pokemon are carrying Earthquake. I want this guy to play more of a role than just an expendable lead.
Clint Eastwood (Scizor) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 198 HP/252 Atk/60 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
- U-turn
A complete badass. I remember everyone thought Scyther already looked pretty kick ass when RBY came out, but when Scizor arrived in GSC, it was pretty much up in the air as to which one looked more cool.
Anyways, despite all of the counters in every single team, Scizor never leaves a battle empty handed. Great for scouting, good to chip off chunks of health on the switch, and a fantastic revenge killer. Scizor and Heatran seem to go hand-in-hand thanks to Scizor's hate of fire and Heatran's fire humping abilities.
Adam West (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP/36 Spd/224 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Thunder Wave
- Roost
Specially defensive Zapdos takes hits like a champ. It can take on opposing Dos, Gengars, Heatran, the ever annoying Rotoms, and cause general rage with T-Wave all the while still completely countering Scizor.
Xena (Gengar) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
- Trick
I wanted to try something fun, so I'm testing the waters the Warrior Princess. The idea for this thing is simple; come in on an attack Gengar is immune to / a poke Gar scares. Sub up on the switch. If they're dumb enough to bring in something to wall Gar such as a Blissey, you get to remove her leftovers and negate Natural Cure. If the bring in an offensive mon, you get to fire off a free STAB Shadow Ball.
Mike Tyson (Tyranitar) (M) @ Babiri Berry
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch
- Dragon Dance
DD Tar serves as my late game sweeper. I wanted something with bulk to fit the rest of the team and DD Tar has that along with phenomenal coverage. Babiri Berry is simply because Scizors are so rampant and if my Zapdos fails to take him down before going out Tyranitar isn't left to waste.
Steve Rogers (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind
- Rest
The final member. He's a fantastic counter to all of the dragons and calm mind keeps things interesting when they realize Suicune has their favorite shitty Pokemon's number. He's bulky enough to serve as my general "go to guy" against physical attackers. Even without any Sp Attack EV investments Calm Mind Suicune can punch large holes in the foe's team.
