A tricky team... OU RMT

Hey all, so the move Trick Room recently captivated my attention, and i decided to test it out on Shoddy.

All i can say is that I'm in love...

Take a look at this team and let me know what you think:

Bronzong @ Lum Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/152 Atk/8 Def/96 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Explosion
- Trick Room
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock

This is standard lead Zong, perfect for setting up Trick room. Able to take nearly any hit, set up Trick Room, then explode for a KO. Lum berry works great for Smeargle leads, and Stealth Rock is always nice to have in the event of a equally long set up. Gyro is Zong's strongest attack, barring Explosion of course, and takes advantage of the high speed found amongst leads.

Main Strategy:
T1: Trick Room, unless its an azelf or other standard taunter, then gyro ball. Then Trick Room when possible.
T2: Explode usually, but Stealth Rock if it will give you an advantage (hail teams ect) or if the other lead is taking multiple turns to set up
T3: Explode

Slowbro (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Slack Off
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Trick Room

Slowbro, another great Trick Room set up. He can set up and tank with slack off. Surf is his standard stab that hits most pokemon pretty hard. I went with HP Electric to counter Suicune, and I just feel it fits better with the rest of my team. He is a good candidate for setting up Trick Room because of his bulkiness. He will usually only come out to set up TR, or if Suicune comes out.
---

Machamp (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dynamicpunch
- Payback
- Stone Edge
- Bulk Up

The Champ is my main Physical Sweeper. He covers nearly everything very nicely. If it gets a chance to Bulk Up, it makes it even better. Not much can stand up to this offensive threat. Dynamicpunch is the standard hard hitting stab, and the confusion added makes life uneasy for lots of foes. Stone Edge hits Salamence and Gyarados for a KO. Payback is Machamp's strongest Dark attack, and is very useful in hitting Gengar and Dusknoir as well as any psychics that come his way.
---

Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Pain Split
- Trick Room
- Will-o-wisp

Dusky is designed for trick room, with his super bulkiness and disgraceful speed, Dusknoir works well in Trick Room by setting up the trick, and burning walls and tanking with Pain Split. Earthquake has enough base power to even let Dusky hit for some good damage. Will-o-wisp puts some status on the field, while Pain Split damages the opponent and heals too. Dusky sets up Trick Room easily because of all of his resistances and general overall bulkiness.

Octillery (F) @ Wave Incense
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SAtk
Quiet nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Water Spout
- Energy Ball
- Waterfall
- Ice Beam

This is my favorite part of this set. He constitutes for about 70% of my wins. No one expects his absolute power. Water Spout Kills almost everything in one hit. I hardly even use his other attacks. Wave Incense is needed as Life Orb would weaken Water Spout, and Expert Belt only helps super effectives. He easily sweeps with no set up besides Trick Room. The only disadvantage of this guy are entry hazards and weather conditions that lower Water Spouts power. He literally can OHKO nearly anything, except for pokemon that resist.

---
Lickilicky (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 116 HP/252 Atk/140 SAtk
Brave nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Explosion

Another trick play in my Trick Room. No one expects the ol' Lickylicky. He hits surprisingly hard both physically and specially. Life Orb gives him that extra push that helps him get KOs. Explosion is always helpful for pesky Latias, and other suicide kills. Lickylicky works well as a mixed attacker, being my main counter to Scizor with Fire Blast. Ice Beam is also good for Gliscor and Latias.
---

So this team is over all very solid and relies a lot on surprise KOs. Trick Room is a near perfect counter to our metagame's total speed focus. So far the only trouble that I have had regularly is with Latias, but she can be delt with if conditions are correct. Please let me know what you guys think before I make this team in game.

Some of these descriptions are short! Elaborate a little more on them or I'll lock this thread, and leave you with a present! Thanks, have a nice day.

Great team, but is that trick room really necessary for 3 pokemon.. Bronzong and Slowbro OR Duskonoir is enough.. since you won't get many long battles...

Payback on Machamp makes no sense if you are running Trick room? I ndertand the meager Dark moves but on Competitive play Knock off is a great move since Choice users are screwed..
Fling/Ironball work too..
Or just use Ice Punch/Thunder Punch
As Yogi said you need to ELABORATE.. did you read the archives?

I added more... is that enough? I feel like most of the things here are fairly straight forward and dont really know how too much more expansion can be added. But ill try if it still needs more.

Also, I stick with three TRs because of the wide range that they can switch into to set up TR. I do have a problem with dark types though... so maybe I will think twice before exploding Zong?

Sorry for the double post, but I noticed that when I lose Trick Room, It can be incredibly hard to set back up. I needed a fast pokemon that could set it up, even though it seems counter productive. Azelf is the best candidate for this, so heres what I have for him:

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Explosion
- Trick Room
- U-turn
- Taunt

It definitely needs help, as I didn't know where to put EVs. He is fast enough now to set up the TR in front of all threats but Jolteon, with a tie on Starmie, barring Scarfs of course. Explosion kills hard and gets Azelf out of the way for my sweepers. U-Turn functions the same way, but with less damage and preservation of Azelf. Taunt is always good to have to stop set ups. Focus Sash can get one more attack in, also cause I didnt really know what else to use :/
---

Like I said, needs a lot of work. Not sure exactly how to best equip Azelf for this role, as it is a rather unusual one.

I was going to replace Slowbro with this guy, as Slowbro was quite disappointing so far playing with him.

Let me know what you think guys. Thanks :)

Change Machamp to a Brave Nature so that it is even slower under trick room. Other than that, looks like a solid team. 3 trick roomers arent needed though.

But read, payback is the strongest physical Dark move Machamp can use. It is essential for ghosts, even though it wont get boosted from damage.

And thanks, I'll change him to brave.

As far as three Trick Roomers go, I think it has worked out well so far. But perhaps instead of the Azelf Trick Roomer, I add a standard fast pokemon? One that operates outside of Trick Room?
