Zapdos @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Primordial Sea
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Thunder / Weather Ball
- U-turn
- Roost

The way Zapdos moves is like a full-on rainstorm! Primordial Sea supercharges its best attacks, giving it perfectly accurate Hurricane and Thunder while providing a pseudo-STAB attack in Weather Ball. Hurricane is its most spammable attack, boasting excellent neutral coverage and an annoying 30% confusion chance. Thunder is the most common secondary attack, hitting Manaphy, Corviknight, and Gholdengo harder while having a 30% chance to ruin its foe with paralysis, while Weather Ball provides coverage for Desolate Land users, Sandy Shocks, and Iron Treads. U-turn generates momentum against its few reliable answers like RegenVest Swampert, Hisuian Goodra, and Volt Absorb Empoleon, and Roost lets it use its excellent defensive typing and Fire immunity to switch into threats like Heatran, Ogerpon-H, and Great Tusk to trade damage. Zapdos is annoyingly hard to switch into, especially with its confusion and paralysis chances, but it does struggle with RegenVest Swampert; other special attackers that can overwhelm it like Deoxys-S are appreciated. Zapdos loves forming a pivot core with physical attackers like Roaring Moon, especially if entry hazards are up, as they can wear down each other's checks like Corviknight.

- U-turn volt switch could be worth a slash, especially on wball sets, but we're already tight on space here

The way Zapdos moves is like a full on rainstorm. Primordial Sea supercharges its best attacks, giving it perfectly-accurate Hurricane and Thunder while providing a pseudo-STAB maybe change this to say poweful rain-boosted? "pseudo-STAB" might confuse socmed readers, but your call attack in Weather Ball. Hurricane is its most spammable attack, boasting excellent neutral coverage and an annoying 30% confusion chance; Thunder is the most common secondary attack, hitting Manaphy, Corviknight, and Gholdengo harder while having a 30% chance to ruin its foe with paralysis, while Weather Ball provides coverage for Desolate Land users, Sandy Shocks, and Iron Treads. U-turn generates momentum against its few reliable answers like RegenVest Swampert and,[AC] Hisuian Goodra, and Volt Absorb Empoleon, and Roost lets it use its excellent defensive typing and Fire immunity to switch into threats like Heatran, Galarian Zapdos Ogerpon-Hearthflame nice try, and even Dragonite to trade damage nitpicking, but swap the order of roost and u-turn here to match the order in the set. Zadpos is annoyingly hard to switch into, especially with its confusion and paralysis chance, but it does struggle with RegenVest Swampert; other special attackers that can overwhelm it like Deoxys-S are appreciated. Zapdos loves forming a pivot core with physical attackers like Roaring Moon, especially if entry hazards are up, as they can wear down each other’s checks. examples of moon checks like tusk/corv that zap counters would be appreciated

The way Zapdos moves is like a full-on rainstorm. (add hyphen in that "full-on") Primordial Sea supercharges its best attacks, giving it perfectly accurate (remove hyphen) Hurricane and Thunder while providing a pseudo-STAB attack in Weather Ball. Hurricane is its most spammable attack, boasting excellent neutral coverage and an annoying 30% confusion chance. (period) Thunder is the most common secondary attack, hitting Manaphy, Corviknight, and Gholdengo harder while having a 30% chance to ruin its foe with paralysis, while Weather Ball provides coverage for Desolate Land users, Sandy Shocks, and Iron Treads. U-turn generates momentum against its few reliable answers like RegenVest Swampert, Hisuian Goodra, and Volt Absorb Empoleon, and Roost lets it use its excellent defensive typing and Fire immunity to switch into threats like Heatran, Ogerpon-H earthflame, and even Dragonite to trade damage. Zadpos Zapdos is annoyingly hard to switch into, especially with its confusion and paralysis chances, but it does struggle with RegenVest Swampert; other special attackers that can overwhelm it like Deoxys-S are appreciated. Zapdos loves forming a pivot core with physical attackers like Roaring Moon, especially if entry hazards are up, as they can wear down each other's (<---replace with ASCII apostrophe, or just copy my version) checks like Corviknight.

no i didn't forget to make an edit to this

Roost lets it use its excellent defensive typing and Fire immunity to switch into threats like Heatran, Ogerpon-H, and Dragonite to trade damage.

With the recent Dragonite ban, please replace it with Great Tusk
