Accelgor gimmick (sort of) team!!!

Alright, Accelgor is awesome. Don't try to say it's not. That bug is amazingly fast, and it is a NINJA. It's other stats are only decent, but it has a pretty good support movepool, that includes spikes. And it's my second favorite pokemon (besides shuckle :toast:). That's why I decided to make a team around it.

Team building Process
First, I started with Accelgor, one of my absolute favorite pokemon. At first I had him as a special sweeper.

Then I needed something to cover his weaknesses, mainly to fire, so I chose Vaporeon.

For a good bulky sweeper, I chose conkeldurr.

Then I chose Rotom-H to cover conkeldurr's weaknesses to psychics and ghosts.

To cover the teams weakness to bulky waters, I put in Breloom to take them out.

And for the last slot, I opted for a defensive pokemon and cleric, celebi.

I then tested the team. First off, it failed. Vaporeon ended up being completely useless in every battle. And Accelgor? Not the best sweeper. So I decided to change accelgor's set to something I saw as a gimmick, a final gambit set. In that case, I wouldn't need to cover any of its weaknesses, so i could pull out vaporeon for something useful. I decided to replace it with Mamoswine to take out the ever-present dragon types of the Ou tier, and to set up stealth rock.

Accelgor
Accelgor (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Final Gambit
- Focus Blast
- Bug Buzz
- Energy Ball

Accelgor's Extremely high speed and decent health allow it to effectively use final gambit. The choice scarf makes sure that Accelgor goes first, as no pokemon in the game can out-speed it unboosted besides deoxys or ninjask. However, if you don't have full health when accelgor is ent out, do not use final gambit. Use a different move. The ability really doesn't matter, as accelgor won't be sticking around long enough to utilize whatever ability it has. However, if you happen to be facing a team with entry hazards and rain, hydration can heal off the damage. The only point of accelgor is to take out one pokemon. Use it like what it is, a suicide bomber.

Conkeldurr
Conkeldurr (F) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Guts
EVs: 224 HP / 252 Atk / 32 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge/Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Payback
- Facade
Just a standard Conkeldurr set. Stone edge can take out fires, notably volcarona. However, drain punch can be used to extend conkeldurr's lifespan. Either one works. Mach punch gets priority, and is good for revenge killing. Payback can OHKO anything weak to it, unless they are somehow slower than conkeldurr. Facade is amazingly powerful, with 140 base power when conkeldurr is burned by its flame orb.Guts multiplies conkeldurr's attack by 1.5x, and makes its attack cap out at a massive 624.

BrotomH.png

Rotom-H
Rotom-H @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Overheat
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
Rotom-H is the resident sweeper of the team.It can tears through teams with its STAB overheat and thunderbolt (which could be replaced with its less accurate older brother thunder). The Ev set is standard, with max speed and special attack.

Breloom
Breloom (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 236 HP / 120 Atk / 92 SDef / 60 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Spore
- Seed Bomb
- Drain Punch
Breloom would be good, but not great if not for one thing. Spore. This move induces sleep with 100% accuracy, leaving breloom free to do as it wants (boost, sub, seed) while they switch or futilely try to attack. This set uses spore and bulk up to turn breloom into a bulky powerhouse capable of sweeping whole teams. Drain punch keeps breloom alive and seed bomb is there for coverage. Both can do serious damage even to pokemon who resist them. The toxic orb lets breloom heal itself every turn, for more Hp than leftovers would give with poison heal. It's awesome.

Mamoswine
Mamoswine (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 100 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock/Stone Edge
Mamoswine is another bulky attacker. Its usual ability would be snow cloak, but since that would be useful thick fat works well to allow mamoswine to switch in. Ice shard gives a priority stab attack that can 2HKO almost all dragons. Icicle crash is the most powerful physical ice attack currently available. Earthquake Is another powerful physical STAB, and ground provides good coverage. Stealth rock is just there because no other pokemon on the team can set it up. However, It could be replaced by stone edge for better coverage.

Celebi_by_Legendary_Darkness.png

Celebi
Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 148 SDef / 56 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Heal Bell
- Toxic
- Recover
Celebi is in this slot to be a mixed wall and cleric. It can heal away unwanted statuses with heal bell. Giga drain, with the huge boost it got in the transition to 5th gen, is a powerful STAB with 75 base power and the ability to heal celebi. Toxic allows stalling and walling, and recover keeps celebi healthy.

Accelgor really isn't the best pokemon... but it's just so awesome I can't resist using it. The team ends up working pretty well together. Suggestions appreciated, thanks!
