Hi smogon, Pendulum Swing's here, welcome to my 2nd rmt featuring MegaBro, who recently got reqs pretty easily on the ladder. I wanted to build something in order to achieve reqs when i noticed i did have no teams with slowbro-mega, who actually is the best megamedi switchin imho. Creating a bulky offence around this buddy seemed me the best way to make it work, 'cause i still think stall was the most unviable playstyle during this suspect.

I gotta be honest: I didn't climbed ladder with this team only, i also used some other stuff like Znain and Will of fire's offence (which accessed showcase very recently). I reached this one to get about 1500, then i got 1580-90 with other teams and then i reused megabro to achieve reqs and get the peak. Also, i hope you all can forgive my bad english, i'm doing my best but i'm not that good lol

First time i play klefki, watched it in various ladder games, tournaments, and vids from youtubers like blunder and aim. I like it because it gives to offence teams a great support with moves like twawe, spikes, and fairy lock, so i was looking for a good partner to pair the keys with.

MegaBro revealed to be a great anti-meta mon, checking things like keldeo,cham,punny,non-bdrum azu, zardx, landot, exca,(he can also wall kyub if rocks are not on the field)while having great bulkyness, good stats, and a really large movepool. It appreciate klefki's twave because it's slow (lol) and he can kill or get a setup on stuff trapped by fairy lock like landot and exca. I use fblast > psyshock, so it can also deal with mons like sharp and zor.

I needed a good check to offensive electric pokèmons and a rock setter, hippowdon seemed a good answer to me. I used the next slot for sandrush excadrill, another one who gets a great matchup against offence teams, it's also a good check to fairies in general.

I noticed a weak to grass mons like venusaur and breloom, zardy and manaphy. I gained a defogger and more speed in this quite slow team.

I was walled by fat mons like slowbro, mew, celebi. I firstly thought about weavile, but later i noticed that npthundu fitted this team better 'cause it's not afraid of burn and paralysis

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Fire Blast
- Slack Off

Here's the star of the team here. As I said before this buddy revealed to be one of the best anti-meta mon during this suspect. I'm really surprised nobody tried to make something offensive with this, really. We're having a great entry hazard spam since sableye leaved (for the moment) oras ou, spikes stacking offenses (with powerful mons like garde, medi, keldeo, lop and many others) were becoming very strong, so people started to use things like sandexca and zardx to beat this archetype. Slowbro can easily get rid of 80% offensive mons, the only way to beat this thing is a powerful supereffective stab before he's able to setup. I will never get tired this one is really cool and works pretty well; he does not have an high usage, that makes him much stronger 'cause people usually don't run more than one check.

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Spikes
- Play Rough
- Fairy Lock

This revealed to be as a great offense utility. I can set up spikes to get useful cheap damages, twave for annoying faster mons like serperior, and fairy lock to trap things like landot and exca, that are gonna be killed by bro, or used to get a free setupb. I noticed that a lot of offensive teams runs only TankChomp to (lol)check sandrush exca, so i believed play rough was a good option to get about 35% (+ potential eh) in order to put that in the range of exca's earthquake. I think this is the best set on this team, but feel free to use other moves like magnet rise or flash cannon.

Hippowdon @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Slack Off

I needed something to check MMane and electric mons in general, this was my first choice for that role. Checks tons of physical mons and sets up stealth rock and sand. I preferred Smooth rock to leftiez in order to make excadrill stronger and get more pressure on offense. Also knocks out some dangerous steel like bisharp, luke and excadrill thanks to earthquake. The standard spreads allow me to take mmane's hp ice and win 1vs1 against +2 non baloon exca.

Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
- Rock Slide

Here's the best offense breaker (imho) of this metagame, it's also good against every playstyle in general when he carries sd and he's able to setup. I didn't have any switchins for fairies, so i think this one was a cool mon to add, cause it works to fuckin well right now. Have fun pressing your oppo with him.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe /4 SpD
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Recover
I struggled with various fire, grass, and water mons, so i thought that i had to put a dragon here. Latios revealed to be the best choice 'cause it allows me to check mons like mana, keldeo, zardy, and venu mega, that were very dangerous threats to this team. This is not an h.o. , so i gave roost>healing wish in order to handle these threats better.

Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt

There are not many reasons for his presence, i was simply walled by some fat mons (read the building phase) and i used this to get a free setup (yeah , in this team you have to setup with everything to win lol, any problems?) on them. It just works very well in this meta and hit hard in general. Also have a good synergy with exca 'cause it weakens stuff like hippo,skarmo,tom-w and others as well exca weakens or kills mons that revengekill thundurus, like scarflando, scarfttar, and mmane.

Slowbro @ Slowbronite
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Fire Blast
- Slack Off

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Spikes
- Flash Cannon
- Fairy Lock

Hippowdon @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Slack Off

Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
- Rock Slide

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Roost
- Draco Meteor

Thundurus @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt

A little shoutout to all IK clan members, expecially to Will of Fire , Freend and Trouble In UranuS .
Fixes: Latios>Latias
Flash cannon > Play rough

Sup Pendulum Swing, nice sand team you have here, I'm going to try to offer some advice to make your team perform a little better. First off I see you wanted your wincon to be Mega-Slowbro, I can see why it's a really solid calm minder and can wall tons of mons in the OU meta game. But I would go with Psyshock over Fire Blast, it allows you to beat other calm minders 1v1 and makes lets you kill fighting types faster, not like they threaten you but getting rid of them faster is nice still. Next I would go with leftovers instead of smooth rock, while the extra sand turns are really nice Hippo benefits from all the recovery it can get, it's an incredibly passive mon and letting it get free health is amazing. Next I noticed every member of your team is 2HKO'd or OHKO'd by Mega-Diancie while rocks are up so I suggest you replace fairy lock with magnet rise and play rough with flash cannon on Klefki to alleviate this issue. Next I would go with a jolly nature on Excadrill, the power is great but the ability to outspeed adamant Excadrills and speed tie with other jolly ones is great. Lastly I would go with Latios instead of Latias, you honestly don't need the bulk, you aren't weak to electrics, water types, fighting types or grass types. You aren't using healing wish so Latias really isn't needed and Latios will apply a lot of offensive pressure to your opponents. Well, that's all the advice I can offer, nice team!

Hi bro, appreciated your rate, but i disagree on some part of it:
1) Psyshock seems really good, but ferro would be pretty annoying here. Thundu and exca can setup on it, but they don't like seeds + gyro ball.
2)I'm pretty uncertain at this point, smooth rock proved to be very useful more than once, so i'm gonna make Smooth rock/Leftovers. Players will choose the item they think works better in this team.
3)Thank you, i'm gonna make Flash Cannon > Play rough, but i think Fairy lock > Magnet rise in my team 'cause i already have 1 ground immunity, slowbro and hippo.
4)I already have hippowdon and slowbro for other excas and +1 spe zardx, i don't think i need that. Also you loose about 40 atk points that could be very useful against defensive teams in general
5) You really got me here. I will think about this, but i'm probably gonna apply this fix.

running defog with hazard stacking just seems redundant to me.

all ima suggest is Rapid Spin > Swords Dance

and Calm Mind > Defog

spinning just so you get rid of opposing hazards instead of ALL hazards. Calm mind on lati is just so you have another breaker that can hurt like a bitch.

and I also agree with the Latios > latias change. that's about it tho.

Rapid spin makes my entire team walled by chansey, lati' s +1 psyshock can 2hko her, but chansey can paralyse him, also tios is weak to pursuit. Defog is not redundant in this team imho, since things like exca and tios can perform really well even with no hazards (for example lucario only works with things that get cheap damages, like double hazards or manelando), so making my spikes disappear is not that bad (yeah u r right that sucks, but i prefer that instead of being walled by chansey).
Also confirming tios>tias change, i will update as soon as i can, thank you :)
