/permissions allows you to change the rank required to use a command in a room.

We had the same idea to level the playing field, either moving it to autoconfirmed or #.
However, /permissions caps out on the bottom level at whitelisted. We'd need it to go down all the way to autoconfirmed, so that's unfortunately not a solution.

The room permissions system has been expanded!

You can now grant permissions for a command to regular, unranked users by using /permissions set <command>, all users. Be sure not to grant regular users permissions to do anything destructive, like room bans.

You can also now set permissions for broadcasting commands that don't require additional permissions. For example, /permissions set !code, all users would let any user in your room broadcast code snippets. This is what the Tech & Code room wanted this feature for, but the extra flexibility was easy enough to add anyway.
