Tournament ADPL 9 Commencement Thread

Welcome to the 9th edition of ADPL, and the third sponsored by Trainer Academy! Hosted by myself and cala_aa . This is a team tour that will encourage learning a team tour environment through placing undrafted players in a pool that will be automatically distributed among the teams, with one week of guaranteed play time for each player. From prepping, mock games, tiebreaks, last second substitutions, crazy upsets, and heartbreak: no matter the skill level players WILL be able to participate. The teams who will succeed will need to not only succeed in crafting a team of skilled individuals for all listed tiers, but also be able to lift up their less experienced players to unexpected wins. For less experienced players, this is one of if not the best opportunities to get drafted and compete for a custom avatar, as well as experience a higher level of play than they may be used to.

:infernape: Ironclad Infernapes will be retaining Vileman. They will be subtracted 12,000 credits, and their new starting total for the auction will be 128,000.

Hey @managers im burnt out of fairy gens a bit so im wanting to play a classic gen. Ideally GSC or BW. Please don't buy me with expectations to support fairy gens either, as i will barely have time to prep my own slot. See my signup post for more info
 
Alright now for the actual post. I don't have much to say, but last year ADPL 8 was not only my first team tour, but my first tour ever.

I did horribly and I want redemption for how bad I played. I play mainly older gens 1-5, excluding 2) at this point, but can help with prep for all of them.

I've also featured in OUFL and currently in ORASCL as my recent OU team tours. Happy to share other tour results/replays if anyone is interested as I play a range of formats with respectable results.

I can play gen 3-9, just need prep/teams and I should be good.

P.S. The way the system works for undrafted players is unviable, please can this be changed in some way for the better (e.g. Let's randomly pick someone with only 5 messages who barely logs in)

- Ladder achievements, although those tend to help when in CG or active ladders

@ managers I want to let know I aim to play mainly SV & get good results there but Stour Bo3 is a nice challenge for me too.
If you need me to clutch SS/ORAS once or twice that's fine but I rather play SV.

I’m definitely playing to win and always try to help my teammates do the same whenever I can. On my last team tour we built great chemistry and finished #1 that season, so I’m looking to join a team that shares that same competitive spirit.
 
So yeah, heres my bit. I've been playing on Showdown ever since BW was current gen but never really got into the entire tour stuff until last year. Last year I've started doing tours in Draft that went moderately well and also decided it's my turn to start signing up for tours of the modern generation I'm most into (SS). Very randomly I won the SS UUbers open where I really had zero expectations, but that shit gave me hunger for more.
Last year I've worked a lot with great guys like Ojr, Garchomp, M0rtal, Zoyotte and many more and right now I believe to be at a level in the game where I can be a meaningful addition to any team. SS is the tier I main but I'm decently knowledgeable about almost every tier of OU and some Ubers tiers as well. In the SS League I played with great guys like Herv, Unzips and Enrique where at some point I solidified prep for a big part of the team.

I think I've proven my skills over the course of single games and BO3's with some very high-level players like in the replays below, to start exploring where my ceiling is in team-based environments.

I always tilted so i not hope everyone spend too much money especially now i can't win any game, i also will not very active.
I not mind put me in ORAS but i hope play some other tier like ADV OU, DPP OU or SV OU.
I don't want play full season so if team surely get playoff or out, i will bench except i dm manager and said i want play.

Pokemon sucks anyway.
