Advice on running a Pokemon tournament

Hey Smogon - Jake from Leeds, England here.

I came over to Smogon for some advice on running my own pokemon tourney - I have been informed the folks here tend to know more or less what they are talking about, unlike myself. However, I couldn't really figure out where I might go asking for such advice, so i thought I'd come over to the chitchat section to introduce myself.

I don't suppose someone could point me to the relevant area? Or ought I just ask for some help in here?

What type of information are you looking for in running a tournament?

I had no idea we had that guide! Good link. Also keep in mind that aside from doing 3-on-3, the VGC format is often a good way of doing in-person events. A lot more people will have a team for that format than Singles 3-on-3. Once you've worked out the details, you should also advertise it on our Local Tournaments board.
