Banned deucer.
[SET]
name: Physical Attacker
move 1: Shadow Sneak
move 2: King's Shield
move 3: Close Combat
move 4: Iron Head / Gyro Ball
item: Air Balloon / Iron Ball
ability: Stance Change
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
[SET DETAILS]
Aegislash is able to serve as a backup check to many powerful attackers in Ubers, like Cloyster and Galarian Darmanitan, but most importantly, it checks Zacian-C, Zamazenta-C, and Eternatus that are Choice-locked into either of their STAB moves, as Aegislash's Steel / Ghost typing lets it either be resistant to or immune to the STAB moves of all three. Aegislash's Ghost also typing allows it to block Rapid Spin if need be and means it can't be trapped by Dugtrio or Gothitelle. However, many of the Pokemon Aegislash checks will carry coverage moves for it, such as Crunch on Zacian-C and Flamethrower on Eternatus. 0 Speed IVs and an Iron Ball are used with Gyro Ball to maximize its potential damage output.
Excadrill fears only Close Combat and can deal major damage with Earthquake, so teammates such as Ferrothorn and Galarian Corsola can help against it. Aegislash should not be a team's primary check to Zacian-C or Eternatus, so a Pokemon such as Quagsire, Ditto, or Toxapex is needed for Zacian-C, while Zacian-C, Zamazenta-C, and Excadrill can help check Eternatus. Dugtrio works well with Aegislash too, as it can trap and remove Toxapex. Aegislash should not Dynamax, as it loses its ability to use King's Shield and will be permanently stuck in its Blade forme until Dynamax ends.
