[SET COMMENTS]
Aerodactyl carves a niche for itself in the AG metagame as a stealth rock suicide lead capable of beating several common suicide leads, such as Shuckle, Deoxys-Speed, and Smeargle lacking Nuzzle or Magic Coat. Stealth Rock is a nigh-mandatory move for a suicide lead, providing vital support for hyper-offense teams throughout the match. Defog enables Aerodactyl to remove hazards that have been set by opposing suicide leads, such as Deoxys-Speed, which can get rocks down before Aerodactyl is able to taunt it. Taunt enables Aerodactyl to prevent opposing suicide leads from setting hazards, because its impressive speed tier allows it to outspeed almost all other suicide leads, barring Deoxys-Speed. Taunt also allows Aerodactyl to prevent opposing support mons from defogging on it, since it outspeeds all relevant defoggers in AG. Rock Tomb enables Aerodactyl to deal chip damage and slowly wear down opposing suicide leads, such as shuckle, as well as reducing their speed, eventually allowing it to taunt and defog on Deoxys-Speed. Additionally, in the event that Aerodactly is able to KO opposing suicide leads, Rock Tomb can help to deter opposing setup attempts. Tailwind is an alternative option over defog, for teams with slow setup sweepers that need the extra boost, although it comes at the cost of allowing pokemon like mental herb shuckle to get webs down. Alternatively, Tailwind can be used in place of Rock Tomb, although not being able to chip opposing pokemon is far from optimal, and its speed boost is effervescent, making it difficult to capitalize on. Pressure is run instead of Unnerve, in order to burn opposing PP, primarily on Necrozma-Dusk-Mane, since in order to kill it, defensive NDMs will effectively have to halve their potential total uses of Sunsteel Strike for the rest of the battle. The focus sash enables Aerodactyl to eat hits from faster pokemon, ensuring that it can set rocks. Aerodactyl should only be used on hyper offense teams, as HO is the best archetype to apply constand pressure throughout a match, and prevent defogging. Additionally, Aerodactyl is incapable of setting rocks against the common suicide lead Excadrill, unless it can chip exca with Rock Tomb, set rocks, then switch out to a ghost type to spinblock, which is a strategy that risks chip or toxic on the ghost type mon if the Excadrill user predicts the switch. Aerodactyl also loses to opposing substitute Zacian-C, owing to its inability to break the sub, allowing Zacian at least one free SD. Aerodactyl runs maximum Atk investment to more efficiently remove opposing suicide leads such as Shuckle and Deoxys-Speed.

Alakazam can you please archive this? I don’t think it’s going to get a qc at any point here and it’s kinda frustrating having one of my two analysis slots tied up on something that’s never going to get a qc. Thanks!
