After 100 posts, I present to you: Team 111111 r3e

:IntroductioN:
This is by far my favorite team to use on the standard ladder. Before I started on shoddy I played wifi, but I never knew what a huge difference playing shoddy would make for me. I made this team for the smogon shoddy server right when it came out, it was very fun to use and got me loads of wins. That being said I dedicate this team to the server that has helped me grow into a better battler.

Yanmega (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP/2 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Bug Buzz
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Hypnosis

-Why I choose Yanmega to lead-
This pokemon is only walled completely by 3 ou pokemon: zapdos, blissey and skarmory. Offensive teams that start by using stealth rock suicide leads get there stealth rock up, but soon realize they are going to be killed the next turn. I didn't even bother giving him protect because most leads don't try and attack me first turn so I can hit them instead of going for a free speedboost. Hypnosis is an awesome move to have, even though it finds a way to miss most of the time. When pokemon that get 3hkoed come in and can do some decent damage I just for for the hypnosis and they have to sit there waiting to wake up. Hidden power ground is for the once reliable yanmega counters: heatran and magnazone. Some versions of heatran still manage to live the attack, but my focus sash is there to save me, but the most used versions of these two pokemon get ohkoed. If a blissey comes in I put it to sleep and go to either garchomp or lucario.

485-Heatran.png

Heatran (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP/16 SAtk/240 SDef
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Overheat
- Will-o-wisp
- Stealth Rock

-Why I choose Heatran as my supporter-
As we all know heatran is a great sweeper with an amazing special attack stat. What you might not know is that heatran gives amazing support. With 91 base hp and 106 defense/ sp.defense, heatran can take any non super effective kind hit you want to throw at him, and even then he can take most super special attacks. With celebi on this team heatran has all of his weaknesses covered with my other support. This allows then to leech seed/burn stall. Will-o-wisp is set garchomp, salamence and gyarados back a couple steps, then celebi can come in and tak them out easily.

Thanks go to aldaron for making this amazing set!

gyarados.jpg

Gyarados (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 76 HP/252 Atk/180 Spd/2 SAtk
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge

-Why I choose gyarados as my first sweeper-
I use this gyarados to lure out walls and at least soften some of the hardest walls for garchomp to get through. I picked stone edge and ice fang so I could hit celebi hard with ice fang and zapdos hard with stone edge. Things that are weak to earthquake usually don't come out right away fearing being koed by a super effective blow. The first thing my opponant thinks to do when it sees I have stone edge is to switch in something that would normally be killed by ice fang, but they don't expect that.
---
251-Celebi.png

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/220 Def/36 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Leech Seed
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Ice]

-Why I choose Celebi as my 2nd supporter-
Celebi is used to take status that could throw my team off pace. It also messes stall teams up by leech seeding them. Hidden power ice and grass knot for gyarados and dragons. Grass knot also helps me with starmie, who gives my team some trouble without a powerful stab grass move. Celebi also helps me with suicune, who is a problem.
---
448-Lucario.png

Lucario (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/6 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge (Thankyou faint)
- Hidden Power [Ice]

-Why I use lucario the way I do-
At first I had been using the swords dance set, but I soon realized that lucario gave me a huge opportunity to take out some of garchomps counters. Hidden power ice is used for salamence, zapdos and gliscor. When the battles comes to an end I don't want to see anyone stand in front of garchomp that has any chance in hell at beating it. Bullet punch helps with gengars and killing pokemon that stay alive with a low amount of hp. I picked crunch so I can catch ghosts and psychics coming in to resist my close combat. The nature, hasty, is used so I can outrun neutral salamence. It will also help me with some lucario speed ties, beating jolly mamoswines and hitting harder with hidden power ice.
---
445-Garchomp.png

Garchomp (F) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

-Why I choose Garchomp to be the main event-
As you all know this pokemon is a beast. I don't need to explain what he does, because of you have ever played on a standard shoddy, you have experianced facing one of them. He has so little counters as it is, yache berry will make that amount even lower. After I take out walls with my other pokemon garchomp comes in with his odd speed stat and takes out the remaining pokemon.

IMPORTANT INFO!
This team is not deoxys-e weak! I have never been swept by one the whole entire time I used this team.
If you read everything up to this point say, r3e.

Things that have caused me trouble in the past, but I manage to deal with are: starmie.

Things that I might change:
1. Gyarados's ice fang to return or bite.
2. Heatrans overheat to fire blast.

Interesting team facts:
1. I made every pokemon on the team female just incase a pokemon with attract comes along.
2. I named this team by holding down 1 so it would be on top of most my other files, and then clicked 3 random keys.
3. This team got me to 10 on the standard leaderboard.
4. Yanmega sweeps >25% of the teams that I face.
5. When I am in a good mood I play better with this team. 0_0
6. This wasn't really my first team I used on smogon shoddy server, it was the first one I made while being there.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my team!

Lol, looks like you copied my Yanmega exactly (except I have HP Ice to work on Dragons, 2HKO on Zapdos and 3HKO on skarm).

Definetely switch Overheat to Fire Blast on Heatran, as soon as you Overheat, your opponent doesn't have to be worried about any more attacks coming from you (especially a special attacker) and you have to switch, allowing it to set up

Seems to be a solid team besides that one little thing

The yanmega set is on the analysis. Also, I guess I will have to test fire blast out.
Thanks for posting!

Whats the analysis?

I made that one myself (at least, I could have subconsciously seen it...)
You have never heard of the smogon analysis? 0-0

Do you live under a rock? Lol, just playing around.

On the site you can find a pokemon analysis under the name of strategy pokedex.

Many people have used that set before...your definatly not the first.

As for your team I ran a Lucario similar to that, however I would change it to the one that I used. It had Stone Edge over Crunch. This helps against Gyarados which can cause you some problems if Celebi dies.

I just use this thread to get my teams rated, rate other teams and battle

I am more active in a different community (smaller community, you know everyone that plays pokemon, which is nice)

Many people have used that set before...your definatly not the first.

Like I said, I don't really pay attention to that stuff...

Its fine if I'm not the first, I don't really care, I just like the fact that I made it myself :)

Solid team. It looks like RaikouLovers but I won't go into that...

I like Fire Blast on Heatran. It OHKO's Gengar and you don't have to switch out after using it. Wait NVM you have a defensive spread X_X

I would try reflect on Celebi. That way it can counter DDLO Gyarados.

Everything else looks rock solid...

Mind if I copy that Heatran lol

This particular Yanmega is not under the Strategy Pokedex (now I realize what you were talking about)

Anyways, solid team, if anyone wants to criticize my misplaced creativity go right ahead

Nah, aldaron made it for the analysis, not me. I don't have any copyright on it or anything. ._.

I made this team way before raikoulover posted his team...

@ Faint- I will try stone edge out.

@ hotpocket- Its cool that you made the same set by yourself.

I didn't say you tried to copy his team I just said they look pretty much the same.

Darn you SoccerFoward xD. You made me go into it.

That set is the most Standard set on Yanmega, the change from Hidden Powers isn't the exception.

It's not good to use this kind of Logic, but after Gyarados is gone, Mamoswine and Weavile can be problems, unless you WoW one of them on the switch in (lol switch in) then it's gonna be problems. Without a Rapid Spinner, Yanmega can't really switch in to things as much for Sweeping, and Toxic Spikes eat Garchomp and Spikes affect the rest, but I'm not worried about Spikes, I would be more worried about Stealth Rocks ruining you, as Yanmega and Gyarados can't switch safely. Replacing Celebi with Starmie would be the most ideal thing here, Starmie will Rapid Spin and "counter" Gyarados and MixApe from destroying you, but then you lose coverage since you will lack HP Ice by being foriced to use Thunderbolt and Surf, so it's pretty much pick your poison. I can't really say much more, this team works offensively so I expect your games to be fast games.

Yeah they are really fast paced, most the time I don't even have to worry about switching gyarados into rocks 2 times.

I will test starmie, it really would be like picking my poison and I would lose good coverage.

The heatran counters weavile even if brick break is super effective, so no worries there. I see what you mean about mamoswine, but I can get by that with luke, if luke is dead and my yache berry is gone I start having issues.

Thanks for the rate. :D

hasty is -DEF not spD
yanmega needs protect to outspeed gengar who otherwise puts it to sleep and 2 hkos with thunderbolt
males can learn attract so if a male poke learns attract it can infatuate anything, celebi might be genderless which makes it so it cant be unfatutated

Thats not that big of a deal, trust me there.
males can learn attract so if a male poke learns attract it can infatuate anything, celebi might be genderless which makes it so it cant be unfatutated
I know that. <_< Everyone on shoddy uses males, so if you were to make an infatuation pokemon it would be a girl. Unless you have some odd logic for it not to be a girl who uses attract, then case closed.

Yanmega needs Protect to get that speed boost at the start.
What if let's say, Gengar comes out and sleeps you?

Another thing, you really should remove Overheat, you should only use Overheat on choice sets. Maybe you wanna add Taunt on Heatran too?

r3e

Wow i really like your team a lot, especially the lucario set.
This is small but by bumping your speed Evs on Gyarados up to 184 you outspeed max speed jolly Tyranitar instead of just tie it.
I know minor thing that you might not even care about, but there are situations where it could be more useful than that one extra HP.

I really think you should max the speed on Gyarados, since it'll still get outrun by Scarfed Heatran with a positive nature, which seem to be more and more popular.

Oh, and r3e.

teams solid, can't really suggest replacing a pokemon without changing up the team.

Also, where did you get those pics? =3

I'll take your advice bounty, I actualy run that on most my other teams with him. =\

I got the pics from photobucket, someone random had a whole bunch of them.

I really don't like the lack of speed here.. It allows for something like a bulky DDmence to grab a turn for set up and then survive either Ice Fang or HP Ice from Celebi and 2HKO them in the process if one of them is already removed, and then it really doesn't have too hard of a time ripping you apart. The lack of speed is obviously the reason for the Starmie problem, seeing as nothing can really just easily switch in and KO right away.

I think you can easily fix the problem by scarfing Lucario and putting Crunch over Bullet Punch, but don't I always have these problems with a lot of your teams, colin? <3
