Against All Authority

Hey.

Cool team you have here. Hopefully I can help you out in covering your Volcarona weakness. I think you should add a scarfed Terrakion somewhere on your team, probably over Scizor since he is your current revenge killer.

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed
Jolly Nature
Moves:
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Rock Slide

Terrakion not only has a monster attack, but has a great Speed stat, allowing it to outspeed Volcarona after it has Quiver Danced once and OHKO with Stone Edge. It's dual STABs help it revenge plenty of Pokemon. X-Scissor is for Psychic-types who give Terrakion trouble. Rock Slide provides a more accurate Rock STAB to revenge Pokemon with enough power without risking as much with Stone Edge. The added flinch rate is nice too. As for Conkeldurr, you can basically just try and ParaFlinch it with Jirachi.

Very nice team you have there.

The thing I noticed with both of the Pokemon that you have trouble with is they both share a common weakness to Flying moves, so I think Tornadus-T (although Incarnate may work too) will do great in patching that up.

Tornadus-T
Item: Flying Gem
Ability: Regenerator
Jolly Nature (+Spe -SAtk)
EVs: 252 Spe, 252 Atk, 4 SDef
- Acrobatics
- Bulk Up / Taunt
- Superpower
- U-Turn

I find Physical Tornadus it the best one to use out of the rain, and I think he can work best in Scizors spot, although the lose of Bullet Punch may be a problem.

Hi

This is a cool team however there are a couple of problems with it. The main ones I can see are Dragon Dance Dragonite and Quiver Dance Volcarona. Both are insanely powerful sweepers and if you don't have the proper tools to handle them you are looking for trouble. If you have already used Spore before, Dragonite sets up pretty easily on Breloom and can also set up on Rotom-W, thanks to its Lum Berry, the most common held item for the Dragonite. Scizor's Bullet Punch does around 55% which means you can't really revenge kill it properly if it has only a two turns Outrage, and the bulkier DD versions which are equally threatning to your team carry Dragon Claw instead and will just OHKO Scizor with Fire Punch, which will somewhat... ruin your revenge killing plans. Volcarona can easily set up on Scizor and Latias to an extent and start to stomp your team with Fire Blast/Bug Buzz for the offensive verion, or Fiery Dance and Bug Buzz for the bulkier versions. Most of the teams that carry one of these threats also have a Spinner which means that there's a high probability hat you won't have Stealth Rock to weaken them. My suggestion would be dropping Keldeo for a Choice Scarf Landorus. Landorus is a great revenge killer, thanks to its great base 101 Speed and access to good coverage, meaning it's able to revenge kill both Dragonite and Volcarona (you need to damage Dragonite a bit before to remove Multiscale though) which will greatly reduce the chances you get swept by either of these threats. Landorus also has excellent synergy with Rotom-W and Scizor as it extends their Volturn core which allows you to rack up even more damage than before, which is great. Lastly, I feel like Keldeo is the most redundant Pokemon on this team, because you have a pretty good sweeper in Latias and it doesn't a lot of important stuff that your other Pokemon check, so it is, in my opinion, the most replaceable member on this team.

If Jirachi is your main Dragon resist, perhaps you should put the 32 Speed EVs in Defense instead. This allows Jirachi to take Outrages and the likes much better and it will never be 2HKOed by Choice Band Haxorus' Outrage, which will definetly help you handle it because it really wrecks a lot of teams. You don't need the Speed EV all that much because all it does is let you tie with Pokemon who sit at 244 Speed which is an imaginary Speed tier since no one uses Jolly max speed Tyranitar without a Choice Scarf. You can paralyze pretty much everything anyway so that's cool.

Nice team, here's the set you should use:

Good luck!

Hello apologies! Cool team you have here :)

I have a couple of recommendations to make. Right now, your team has problems with certain set up sweepers, particularly dragons, and like you said Volcarona. (Urugamosu). Unfortunately for dragons your best bet is to Bullet Punch with Scizor, which is quite dangerous as unless it's endgame you can become set-up fodder quite easily locked into a steel type move, (or flat out killed by Trapping Magnezone, a common partner to dragons).

Any Dragon type with a Lum berry can easily set up on Breloom, Rotom, or Jirachi and set up a Dragon Dance, allowing them to wreck havoc on the rest of your team (Haxorus and Dragonite especially, Salamence can be quite dangerous as well). Volcarona, of course, can set up on Scizor, Latias, and Breloom with Spore already used.

I 100% agree with Jirachi and recommend you switch to a scarfed Landorus. His perfect base speed, allowing him to barley outspeed all Dragon Dancing Dragons is awesome, allowing you to take them out with ease. Volcarona will no longer be an issue, as you can switch in on a Bug Buzz or Quiver Dance and threaten it. As you already have a good bulky water type (Rotom), Keldeo can be replaced easily. Landorus helps not only with your threats but can provide you with another momentum setter with his ability to U-Turn.

EDIT:

Heh, I basically gave the exact same rate as Jirachi. Well, I hope you listen to our suggestions ^_^ Landorus would make a great addition to your team!

Hi Apologies. It is very rare for me to have the opportunity to rate such a beautifully constructed team. I hope that I can give you a suggestion that can help your problems with Volcorona. I would like to suggest that you change your Keldeo into a Bulky Dragon Dance Gyarados. Take a quick look at the set I’m suggesting, and I’ll explain it afterwards.

130.png

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Moxie
Adamant: 252Hp/112Atk/8SpD/136Spe
~Dragon Dance
~Waterfall
~Stone Edge
~Bounce

This EV spread might seem a bit odd at first glance. Here is the low-down on what makes it so effective. 252Hp allows Gyarados to be really bulky and gives him the ability to set up on just about any Neutral attack. This in conjuction with 8SpD EVs allow Gyarados to avoid being 3HKOed by a +1BulkyVolcorona Bug Buzz. The reason that I did this was because I could foresee you coming in on a Bug Buzz, then missing Stone Edge and getting KOed the next turn. This more or less guarantees that you will survive against Volc. 136 Speed EVs allows Gyarados to outspeed Positive-Natured 108s after a Dragon Dance. Stone Edge with the given EV’s does manage to KO BulkyVolcorona at full heatlth 100% of the time. This bulky spread makes Gyarados very tough to take down, allowing him to make holes in the opposition. This Gyarados set really likes coming in off of Jirachi, since it really can take Jirachi’s best counters. Also, since you lack a spinner, keeping wishes coming is going to be a must if you allow Stealth Rock to enter your field of play. Gyarados also works rather well with Breoom as sweeping partners. Gyarados is really good at breaking down physical walls that wall loom, such as versions of Gliscor and Celebi (who will be sent scurrying with your showing Bounce at +1). Do note that you will lose a mildly decent rock resist, which forces Jirachi to take most of these hits. Beware that this may cause it to wear down faster.

One small change I would suggest to you involves Rotom-W. As Jirachi said earlier, 244 speed is really a bad speed tier. I would recommend that you change your EV spread to 252Hp/168SpA/88Spe, Modest. This allows you to outspeed Adamant Scizor, which allows you to supply a burn before he can attack you with U-Turn. The added Special attack EV’s supplied you with an additional 15 more stat points, which should make a bit more of a difference when you are Volt Switching often. Note, however, that you cannot switch out of a Adamant 252Spe Breloom now. This isn’t gamebreaking, since you can’t really deal much to him anyway.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to try to help your team and give it my advice. I hope that you can use my changes and make the most of them.
