Ah, what to get after Christmas now?

I believe this is the right forums.

So I got some pretty nice stuff for Christmas, including lots of iPod realted stuff, DDR (I could use the excersise and the girls my age LOVE DDR too), and a nice assortment of Wii games.

However, my tradition is to go out and buy stuff I didn't get or didn't ask for at the store. I have $115 to spare (135$ by on Friday), and I'm looking to buy one of the following:

- Pokemon Battle Revolution (50$)
- Action Replay DS (20$)
- Preorder Brawl with my brother (iirc 25$ each)
- something else or something more.

Help me choose! An explanation actually does me a lot of good too!

Edit: I actually have 115$. But I'd still like help in deciding whether not PBR is worth it.

Edit 2: So the plan is to rent PBR before Friday to test it, but the AR and preorder Brawl are for sure now (not to mention with the AR I can use it on my other DS games too hehe).

PBR is not really worth buying in my opinion.. the only reason I even have it was because of that Gamestop tournament. The in game stuff is extremely boring.. it's just battle after battle against dumb AI. Seven rounds and you beat whatever city/stadium you were playing and then you move on to the next. The only plus side to PBR is the random WiFi battles. If you do a majority of your battling via the DS then PBR is almost worth it since it makes getting a battle 10 times easier.. though it is limited to 3v3. I'd say you should probably spend your money elsewhere.

Ah thanks Carl. I am hoping Brawl does get me on my Diamond more, as random battles would make it worth playing again (I'm on Shoddy 90% of the time I play pokemon). From the reviews I've seen, the random battles and graphics are (or atleast can be) great, while the tournament mode is utter failing. Although I can get a free PBR Electrivire out of it.

Also if I do get the AR, I only plan on it for infinite TMs and IV checking. I already have my friend's hacked Darkrai (via ticket).

Brawl at the moment is a given, and my bro has a nice 50$ gift card to Gamestop anyway (he's still making me pay for half, which is funny because I'm older than him, but hey).

In my opinion PBR is certanily not worth it, it's even harder to find battles in PBR and really the 3-D wifi is the only thing that makes it a option--because you do not want that game for to play it for in-game purposes

Action replay however, has been a tremendouse investement for me. There are so many fun things you can do with it, even if you don't support hacking the cloning alone makes it very useful

Edit: Oh yeah, brawl is my second choice, but that's not cominng out for like 2 mounts, so yeah

PBR isn't worth it. Even if it does have a surfing Pikachu and an Electivire with the perfect nature and moveset.

Action Replay will let you do a bunch of neat stuff, like get every TM in the game without a problem, train Pokemon so fast that you can get a Pokemon trained from level 1 to 100 in a day, and walk through walls just to see why there's passages to other towns! It's fun to use.

Of course, there's those people who abuse their powers and hack Pokemon to the extremes, like having 31 EVs in all stats and giving Pokemon illegal movesets. As long as you don't become one of those people, Action Replay is fun to have.

I would get Brawl for sure. (or at least have enough for it) If you really need an AR, get it, but Brawl imo is the top priority .. xD

I will buy Pokemon Battle Revolution after christmas. But thats only because europe have to wait forever for Brawl, If you live in the States(or in Japan lol) go for Brawl!

Stay away from PBR, i bought it and it disappoint me far from what i was expecting (and i was expecting few from it), is just not worth it.

There are some other interesting titles for Nintendo Wii besides PBR, Virtual console is also good to spend some points on it!. Or just wait for SSBB!, it will be awesome!.

OK, so after day 1 outa 2 of the poll, one person has voted PBR out of 21 or so. Pokemon Battle Revolution is a no-no then, and seeing you guys say how bad it is, it's not worth my time (unless its out for 20-30$ or I can wait for a sequel or something).
Nearly half you guys think I should pre-order SSBB. That is now the official plan anyway (less then 2 months is going to be worth the wait). A good number of people also think I should get the AR. That I shall, but last time I checked most stores run sharply low on AR DS with D/P codes on it. That was this summer, however.

That's only about 45$ down the crapper, so I think I should invest money in Super Mario Galaxy or another DDR pad.
