Alakazam OU analysis

Hey guys, just posting a set here I thought up. It's been working well so far, so I thought this was the place to post it. This is my first time doing this, but I don't want anyone to hold back their opinions.

[SET]
Name:Blissey breaker
Move 1:Psychic
Move 2:Focus Blast/Focus Punch
Move 3:Substitute/HP Fire
Move 4:Recover/Calm Mind/Grass Knot/Encore
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Calm/Gentle
Evs: 200hp/156spec D/164 spe

Why this set deserves to be on site:

Usually, Blissey walls Alakazam
to no end, unless it carries trick. Not anymore. The evs on this set
guarantee that even max special attack Bold Blissey will never
break Alakazam's substitute with Flamethrower (deals 20.9-24.9%).
This means that Alakazam can switch in to any Blissey without Softboiled
and wreck havoc from behind it's substitute. Also, Alakazam can survive 3
seismic tosses with 1hp to spare. With a gentle nature and no attack
investment, Alakazam deals 40.9-48.2% with a Focus Punch. However,
if you don't want to waste a moveslot on Focus Punch, Focus Blast deals a little bit less, but the 70% accuracy can be offputting. However, With
Focus Blast, Alakazam can deal rougly 50-60% to standard CB Scizor,
compared to a paltry 23-28% with Focus Punch. HP fire solves this problem, but makes you susceptible to status and priority without the safety of a sub.

Encore can force switches, allowing Alakazam to heal up or substitute, Calm Mind makes Alakazam into an offensive tank, allowing it to take huge special hits and hit back with Powerful attacks. Grass Knot provides extra coverage and maims Swampert. Recover allows you to keep churning out substitutes and keep attacking, as life orb+substitute takes it's toll on Alakazam.

Additional Comments:
HP electric can be used to take on Gyarados, but Psychic deals more than enough damage to him anyway. HP fighting is too weak for a moveslot, but if you really hate the accuracy of Focus Blast, it's an option.

Teammates and Counters:
COUNTERS:
Scizor can come in and if it has more than 61% of it's health, Bullet Punch twice for the K.O.

Metagross can set up an Agility if Alakazam lack Encore, or Meteor Mash/ Bullet punch to deal huge amounts of damage.

Swampert is bulky enough to take an Unboosted Psychic to the face, and bite back with a powerful Earthquake/Waterfall.

Scarf-tar can come in on an Alakazam without a substitute, and nail it with pursuit; However, if Alakazam substitutes on the switch, Focus Punch/Focus Blast is a K.O.

Flygon can come in, U-turn out to a counter, who can then pursuit Alakazam to death.

TEAMMATES:

Magnezone can trap a choiced Scizor and destroy it with HP fire, it can also handle Metagross's lacking EQ.

Skarmory can wall Flygon, and physical Tyranitars to oblivion, and phaze them out if needs be.

I'm sorry. This set doesn't work. Every Blissey has Softboiled. Everything counters this set. Gentle nature means you get OHKOed by everything before you can attack.

Honestly, you're better off just going offensive.

Your EVs don't add up to 510.

Obviously, very little thought was put into this set. Have you really tested it? Please provide logs.

Are you sure your calcs are right? Focus Blast dealing 50-60% to Scizor when you have 0 Sp. Atk EVs?

Yeah, the speed evs were a typo, thanks for pointing that out.
I'll do the calcs right for you.

anyway, Calm Mind, Encore, and Focus Punch are all ways of destroying Blissey.

Neutral no special attack evs Focus blast deals 50.7% - 60.1% (with a life orb) to 248 hp/0 spec defence Scizor.

All right then. Note that Scizor can BP you to death first if you don't have a Substitute up.

Your EVs (200 + 156 + 102) now add up to 458. You still have more to spare.

EDIT: You now have 520 EVs. Remove 10 Speed EVs and it should be fine!

I'm not seeing this working. No blissey is going to let you 3HKO it to seismic toss instead of just using softboiled to heal to max before killing you. And a CB Scizor most likely OHKOs you with bullet punch or u-turn, you won't get a chance to hit it twice.

Based on the amount of slashes and the moves that were slashed, I'm kinda doubting that you even tested this. What does this set do exactly?

Recover is absolutely horrible on an extremely frail pokemon such as Alakazam, who is much better off just attacking or setting up a Sub to scout the switch in.

Also, I don't see how this beats Blissey at all. So what if Flamethrower doesn't break your sub? Blissey should be Seismic Tossing your Sub anyway, not Flamethrowering.

Yeah, I'd like to see logs of this set, it looks horrible to me and the choice of moves and EV spread are also extremely poor.

How do you provide logs for this? Let's say for example I came up with a moveset, actually tested it, and want to prove it. How do you retrieve the logs from Shoddy?

Are Wi-fi matches acceptable?

I'm sorry. I really like the attempt you made to get Alakazam in OU, but really this pokemon is WAY too frail to be in the OU Metagame(I didn't say it sucks, it's just that its defenses are horrid). There's just way too many switch ins, and Zam is somewhat prone to priority moves.

Creative set? Maybe.... Viable set? Nope. The reason for this is that you specifically make a custom set for a specific Pokemon which even with the EVs/ set you have, you won't ever beat Blissey. Also who said Blissey will stay in once you encore?? With no Sp.Attack EVs you can't even score a 3HKO you on Bold 252 HP / 252 DEF Blissey(also what the hell are the HP evs for..most Blissey carry Seismic Toss and Substitute + Life orb is terrible. With no speed evs you invite all kinds of sweepers who you would otherwise outspeed and OKHO to easily pick you off.). Another thing to consider is that, say your opponent does not have Blissey. Your EVs / set disables you from scoring potential KO's on the usual suspects Alakazam usually can get upon. Sorry this set is too gimmicky and even the target Pokemon finds no problem dealing with this set.

How do you provide logs for this? Let's say for example I came up with a moveset, actually tested it, and want to prove it. How do you retrieve the logs from Shoddy?

Are Wi-fi matches acceptable?

No, Wifi matches are long..you have to watch the whole match to see the performance of a particular Pokemon and it is not in text format, you have to save battle logs from a Pokemon Battle simulator such as Pokemon Lab / Shoddy Battle or Pokemon Online.

This is already on-site in a better form, so I am sending this on its way. Thanks for trying, and please consider doing so again in the future. Consult the site before doing it, though!
