Alola Formes V2

Status
Not open for further replies.
Pokemon: Durant
New typing: Bug/Ground
New abilities: Sand Rush/Sand Force (Truant)
New stats: 58/115(+6)/100(-12)/48/48/115(+6)
New/removed moves:
Added: Magnitude, Earthquake, Sand Tomb, Spikes, Bulldoze (5)
Removed: Metal Sound, Metal Claw, Iron Head, Iron Defense, Flash Cannon (5)
Flavor/Design: Durant were introduced to Alola by accident and chose to make their home in Diglett's Cavern. In this cave, they saw Alola Diglett as an appetizing meal, but Alola Diglett's Steel type made their attacks a lot less effective, not to mention most of them were able to just dig away. Durant beign able to dig, it tried to chase them around, and natural selection favored Durant that could dig fast. Eventually, their iron armor became softer. Now they are colored just like the ground in Diglett's Cavern; it is in fact almost impossible to see one when it's trying to hide! Alola Durant are colored dirt brown, look less "robotic" than normal Durant, and have much larger front legs in order to dig faster. Most of these Durant do not see Heatmor as a threat; some of them don't even know about it!
Competitive: I could see this beign an effective sand sweeper; while weaker than Excadrill, it's quite faster then it, allowing it to outspeed most Pokémon even outside the sand. Because of this, it can run both a Sand Rush and a Sand Force set, although you may want to use Life Orb or a Choice Band if running a Sand Rush set or just want to do a lot of damage in general. It has decent physical bulk and can probably tank a few attacks. Truant should never be used seriously unless you wanna run Entrainment or something but even then, that's a gimmick set. Some players might be interested by it's Bug/Ground typing, which is currently only shared by Nincada, an LC mon that isn't even worth an analysis.

Wait, no vullaby line?
It was done already
Pokemon: Vullaby
New typing: Ice/Ground
New abilities: Thick Fat/Snow Cloak (Fluffy)
New stats: 70/55/85/45/75/40 (370)
Removed moves: Dark Pulse, Embargo, Feint Attack, Fake Tears, Nasty Plot, Payback, Punishment, Snarl, Snatch, Torment, Air Slash, Brave Bird, Gust, Mirror Move, Tailwind, Incinerate, Shadow Ball, Sunny Day (-18)
New moves: Avalanche, Blizzard, Hail, Haze, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Mist, Powder Snow, Dig, Earthquake, Magnitude, Sand Attack, Spikes, Sandstorm, Stealth Rock (+18)

Pokemon: Mandibuzz
New typing: Ice/Ground
New abilities: Thick Fat/Snow Cloak (Fluffy)
New stats: 110/65/120/55/110/50 (510)
Removed moves: Dark Pulse, Embargo, Feint Attack, Fake Tears, Nasty Plot, Payback, Punishment, Snarl, Snatch, Torment, Air Slash, Brave Bird, Gust, Mirror Move, Tailwind, Incinerate, Shadow Ball, Sunny Day, Sky Attack (-19)
New moves: Avalanche, Blizzard, Hail, Haze, Ice Beam, Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Mist, Powder Snow, Dig, Earthquake, Magnitude, Sand Attack, Spikes, Sandstorm, Stealth Rock, Sheer Cold (+19)

Flavor/Design: Many Pokemon tried to adapt to Alola's colder region. However, only a few Pokemon, like Sandshew and Vulpix, were able to adapt successfully while the rest failed. These other Pokemon that failed to adapt played a big part in the Vullaby line's Alola forms! Being vultures the Vullaby line were drawn to Alola's colder region where many Pokemon could not weather the cold for food. Eventually, a significant amount of Vullaby and Mandibuzz resided there permanently. The most noticeable difference between the Alolan Vullaby line and the main Vullaby line is that they appear to have white feathers instead of black/brown. In reality, they are just covered in snow and frost. However, the Alolan Vullaby line do boast thicker coats then the main Vullaby line to keep them warmer. While their thicker coat does not prevent them from flying per se, the extra weight alongside the colder air makes it harder to do so, to the point where they'd rather be grounded. However, they do fly to get to high places or to move in a hurry when need be.

MacChaeger we still love you

Alolan Karrablast

HP - 80 [+30]
Atk - 75
Def - 45
SpA - 40
SpD - 45
Spe - 60 [-30]
BST - 315

Alolan Escavalier

1A - Defiant
2A - Rock Head
HA - Steelworker

HP - 100 [+30]
Atk - 135
Def - 105
SpA - 60
SpD - 75 [-30]
Spe - 20
BST - 495

New Moves - Revenge, Sacred Sword, Superpower, Accelerock, Head Smash, Rock Blast, Rock Polish, Rock Slide, Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Smack Down, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge [+13]
Removed Moves - Fell Stinger, Peck, Twineedle, Bug Buzz, Rain Dance, Energy Ball, X-Scissor, Poison Jab, Bug Bite, Scary Face, Struggle Bug, Giga Drain, Signal Beam [-13]

Flavor - Alolan Escavalier are noble alolan cavaliers and serve to protect the Kahunas and the Tapus. Since in alola its harder to find Steel for Escavalier to make its armor, it started using Rocks instead. Karrablasts on the other hand, are being trained to turn into powerful Escavaliers, and meanwhile, they keep searching for Alolan Shelmets to help it evolve, Karrablasts also started learning Electric techniques, but the evolution process is so demanding that all Karrablasts eventually give up their Electric power to get to evolve into Escavalier.
Design - Both evolutions look more noble and prideful, Escavalier is covered in a Rock armor instead of a Steel one, that's about it...

Competitive Analysis - Few Pokémon can resist Alolan Escavalier's STABs, and the few that can, get destroyed by Knock Off, also, Priority in Accelerock allows Escavalier to threaten faster opponents, and base 135 Atk is very respectable as well, it also has three amazing abilities, Defiant allows it to pose a threat do Defog and Intimidate users, while Rock Head nuffilies Rock Smash's recoil, finally, Steelworker gives it a third STAB which compliments its two STABs very well, and being only resisted by the Aegislash line, and hitting 478 Pokémon Super-Effectively, with at least one of its STABs. 100/105/75 bulk gives it some ability to take neutral/resisted hits with ease and fire back. Rock/Fighting is a terrible defensive typing in the other hand tho, meaning that most Pokémon can hit it Super-Effectively with at least one of their moves, not to mention that even though it has an almost unresisted STAB combo, it is still walled by Pokémon such as Hipowdon and Slowbro, finally, base 20 means that the only two Pokemon you're naturally outspeeding without Trick Room are Shuckle and Pikyumuku :P

Alolan Shelmet

1A - Water Absorb
2A - Batte Armor
HA - No Guard

HP - 55 [+5]
Atk - 35 [-5]
Def - 65 [-20]
SpA - 40 [+25]
SpD - 65
Spe - 25 [-5]
BST - 305

Alolan Accelgor

1A - Water Absorb
2A - Volt Absorb
HA - Speed Boost

HP - 70 [-10]
Atk - 80 [+10]
Def - 40
SpA - 130 [+30]
SpD - 60
Spe - 115 [-30]
BST - 495

New Moves - Dark Pulse, Dark Void, Feint Attack, Nasty Plot, Parting Shot, Switcheroo, Discharge, Electro Ball, Shock Wave, Thunder, Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Wild Charge [+13]
Removed Moves - Struggle Bug, Swift, Bug Buzz, Recover, Double Edge, Guard Split, Mud Slap, Acid Armor, Bug Bite, Signal Beam [-10]

Flavor - Alolan Accelgor learned their Speed and Electric abilities with Tapu Koko along the time, turning them into Electric-types as time passed, the heavy influence of Electric Terrain ensured their transformation, they tend to gather near the Ruins of Conflict at night. Shelmets in the other hand, are extremely Timid and cover themselves on Rocks near the Ruins. As they grow, they leave behind the rock, and start absorbing the power of the Electric Terrain.
Design - Both evolutions look ninja-esque and timid, Shelmet is covered in a Rock armor instead of a Steel one, and Accelgors are completely black with yellow Electric markings.

Competitive Analysis - Powerful, fast, and with three amazing abilities, though, its bulk is kind of non-existent. It has access to Parting Shot as well and act as an amazing Pivot or a powerful late game cleaner thanks to Speed Boost.

Pokémon: Shelmet
New Typing: Poison / Water
New Abilities: Liquid Ooze / Gooey / Adaptability (hidden)
New Stats: 60 (+10) / 30 (-10) / 75 (-10) / 50 (+10) / 65 / 25
Added/Removed moves: (Removed: Absorb, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Struggle Bug, Bug Buzz, Leech Life, Energy Ball, Baton Pass, Double-Edge, Spikes, Bug Bite, Signal Beam Total: 12) (Added: Acid Spray, Sludge, Sludge Wave, Blech, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Scald, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Toxic Spikes, Recover, Shadow Ball Total: 12)
Flavor/Description: At Alola, Most if not all the Shelmet have their shells stolen by Karablast, and that leaves them Shell less. To compensate, they use toxic Sludge to armor themselves from predators. It looks mostly like it's real cunterpart, but without a shell and purple Sludge covering where the shell was.

Pokémon: Accelgor
New Typing: Poison / Water
New Abilities: Liquid Ooze / Gooey / Adaptability (hidden)
New Stats: 90 (+10) / 40 (-30) / 60 (+20) / 110 ( +10) / 60 / 135 (-10)
Added/Removed moves: (Removed: Absorb, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Struggle Bug, Bug Buzz, Leech Life, Energy Ball, Baton Pass, Double-Edge, Spikes, Bug Bite, Signal Beam, Quick Attack Total: 13) (Added: Sludge, Sludge Wave, Blech, Bubble, Bubble Beam, Scald, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Toxic Spikes, Shadow Ball, Aqua Jet, Surf, Waterfall Total: 13)
Flavor/Description: Alolan Accelgor still relies on toxic Sludge in order to armor itself. This has made it a tad bit slower, but more defensive even though it's still frail at the same time. Being able to make more Sludge for defenses is a tatic Accelgor needs to survive, and as long it's in a swampy area, it can do so. It's appreance is all the wrap stuff replaced with toxic sludge.

Pokémon: Rufflet
New Typing: Fighting / Steel
New Abilities: Levitate / Battle Armor / Defiant (hidden)
New Stats: 60 (-10) / 88 (+5) / 50 / 17 (-20) / 50 / 85 (+25)
Added/Removed moves: (Removed: Peck, Fury Attack, Wing Attack, Slash, Defog, Air Slash, Crush Claw, Sky Drop, Brave Bird, Thrash, Roost, Fly, Heat Wave Total: 13) (Added: Low Kick, Double Kick, Brick Break, Jump Kick, Close Combat, Metal Claw, Iron Head, Metal Burst, Quick Guard, Focus Blast, Low Sweep, Flash Cannon, Iron Defense Total: 13)
Flavor/Description: Alolan Rufflet are seen as protectors for people and Pokémon alike. Growing iron armor helps it do this job as it a lows it to take a few hits before striking. Despite loosing the Flying type, Rufflet can still fly quite a bit. Unfortunately as it's still young, it fails a lot in doing what it does. The color scheme is all the blue becoming a grey red and it's body being coated with iron armor.

Pokémon: Braviary
New Typing: Fighting / Steel
New Abilities: Levitate / Battle Armor / Defiant (hidden)
New Stats: 90 (-10) / 123 / 75 / 37 (-20) / 75 / 110 (+30)
Added/Removed moves: (Removed: Peck, Fury Attack, Wing Attack, Slash, Defog, Air Slash, Crush Claw, Sky Drop, Brave Bird, Thrash, Roost, Fly, Heat Wave Total: 13) (Added: Low Kick, Double Kick, Brick Break, Jump Kick, Close Combat, Metal Claw, Iron Head, Metal Burst, Quick Guard, Focus Blast, Low Sweep, Flash Cannon, Iron Defense Total: 13)
Flavor/Description: When a Rufflet evolves into a Braviary, it gets new powers that it did not have before. For starters, it's almost like a perfectionist on protecting things due to numerous failures it learned from. Secondly, it's very fast despite the iron armor which would otherwise create drag. Finaly, Braviary is filled with energy meaning it hardly has to rest when fighting stuff. The color scheme is the blue underside becoming brown and Braviary having iron armor coated on it.

EDIT: Apparently we can do a third submission on this slate, so...

Pokémon: Karablast
New Typing: Dark / Rock
New Abilities: Hyper Cutter / Pickpocket / Tough Claws (hidden)
New Stats: 50 / 75 / 65 (+20) / 40 / 55 (+10) / 30 (-30)
Added/Removed moves: (Removed: Peck, Fury Attack, Fury Cutter, Bug Buzz, Slash, Flail, Energy Ball, Infestation, Bug Bite, Signal Beam, Megahorn, Rain Dance Total: 12) (Added: Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Rock Polish, Sandstorm, Assurance, Night Slash, Earthquake, Bulldoze, Brick Break, Superpower Total: 12)
Flavor/Description:
Alolan Karablast live life stealing shells. Due to Shellmet no longer having one, it has to theif other pokemon of their shells. This made it a rock type, and also became a dark type to effectively steal what it needs to. The appearance is all the blue parts covered entirely with pebbles and yellow parts turning into brown.

Pokémon:
Escavalier
New Typing: Dark / Rock
New Abilities: Hyper Cutter / Pickpocket / Tough Claws (hidden)
New Stats: 80 (+10) / 135 / 115 (+10) / 50 (-10) / 95 (-10) / 20
Added/Removed moves: (Removed: Peck, Fury Attack, Fury Cutter, Bug Buzz, Slash, Flail, Energy Ball, Infestation, Bug Bite, Signal Beam, Megahorn, Rain Dance, Twineedle, Fell Stinger, Iron Defense, Focus Blast Total: 16) (Added: Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Rock Polish, Sandstorm, Assurance, Night Slash, Earthquake, Bulldoze, Brick Break, Superpower, Throat Chop, Payback, Head Smash, Taunt Total: 16)
Flavor/Description:
Once an Alolan Karablast evolves into Alolan Escavalier, It no longer needes to swipe shells, as it is now grown into rock-hard armor. This pokemon usually wants to be left alone and if provoked, will severely Injure the provoker. Some can run away from Alolan Escavalier when provoking it, due to moving very slow. Its appearance is all the iron armor replaced with rock armor and a noticably darker color scheme.

Pokémon: Shelmet
New Typing:
Bug/Water
New Abilities: Tinted Lens/Shell Armour/Dry Skin
New Stats: 50/40/75(-10)/40/75(+10)/25
Added/Removed moves: Aqua Jet, Bubblebeam, Clamp, Dive, Liquidation, Razor Shell, Shell Smash, Surf, Withdraw
Flavor/Description: Finding paradise in Alola's shores, Shelmet adapated to the Alolan Water in order to hide from Karrablast, which have taken reign on the sandy shores. It stays underwater most of the time to live a peaceful live away from Karrablast and humans. Due to the rich sapphire water, Shelmet's shell has become water, while a sapphire lens has covered Shelmet's eyes

Pokémon: Accelgor
New Typing:
Bug/Water
New Abilities: Tinted Lens/Water Bubble/Dry Skin
New Stats: 80/70/40/120(+20)/60/125(-20)
Added/Removed moves: Aqua Jet, Bubblebeam, Clamp, Dive, Liquidation, Razor Shell, Shell Smash, Surf, Withdraw
Flavor/Description: Unlike Unovian Accelgor, Shelmet's shell has dissolved into the water, evolving into Accelgor by nature. (Evolve at Lv36) It seeks to protect the water Pokemon from Escavalier's wrath sneakly with its Water Bubbles. As a result of this, many water Pokemon hail Accelgor as their hero. Accelgor's skin is now a lighter blue to match with the ocean color, while its headgear is made out of a huge bubble that only shows Accelgor's eyes.
Competitive: ...soooo I might have made this a bit broken.... (Water Bubble + Water Shiruken + Surf + Specs/Scarf = GG)

Pokémon: Karrablast
New Typing: Bug/Ground
New Abilities: Sand Force/Shed Skin/Steelworker
New Stats: 50/75/55(+10)/40/55(+10)/40(-20)
Added/Removed moves: Accelrock, Dig, Drill Run, Earthquake, Magnitude, Rock Slide, Sand Attack, Shore Up, Stone Edge
Flavor/Description: Having forced to Alola's shores in order to hunt Shellmets, Karrablast lived over the sand, adapted into it, and slowly but surely began digging underground to capture Shellmets. Unfortunately, Karrablast has become weak to Shellmet, making it very hard for them to hunt. Karrablast is now bipedal and took on a more yellow-ish tint in order to match with the ground.

Pokémon: Escavalier
New Typing: Bug/Ground
New Abilities: Sand Force/Sand Rush/Steelworker
New Stats: 70/135/105/30(-30)/105/50(+30)
Added/Removed moves: Accelrock, Dig, Drill Run, Earthquake, Magnitude, Rock Slide, Sand Attack, Shore Up, Stone Edge
Flavor/Description: When their efforts getting Shellmet's shell was crumbled, Karrablast created a shell out of the ground to replace their original idea. (Evolve at Lv36) Alolan Escavalier now tries to hunt the Pokemon who are living near the shore to utilize their newfound power. It can also create absorptive sinking sands underwater to capture water Pokemon. Escavalier's shell is now made out of a yellow-ish sand.
Competitive: With access to Sand Force, Ground-type moves and a few Rock-Type moves, Alolan Escavalier can become a terrifying Trick Room Sand Sweeper, dealing major damage to anyone daring to get in it's way.

New typing: Bug/Fire
New abilities: Flame Body/Strong Jaw (Serene Grace (Male)/Queenly Majestry (Female))
Gender Ratio: 12,5% Female/87,5% Male
New stats:
HP: 58
Atk: 112 (Swap with def)
Def: 79 (Swap with attack - 30)
Sp.Atk: 48

Moves:Removed- Metal Sound, Metal Claw, Flash Cannon, Iron Head, Thunder Wave, Sandstorm, Iron Defense, Guillotine
Added- Sacred Fire, Fire Fang, Crunch, Flare Blitz, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Psychic Fangs, Attack Order

Design: More of an orange/Brown color (See image below) and it's jaw is a 1000 degree glowing red. It has less metal-like body parts, and resembles more an actual bug

Flavor: When arriving in alola, it's metal heatened easly with the intense sun. So much it melted on Durant's body, now being only lava. It's an invasive species in Alola, having learned a way to deal with it's main Rock-Type predators in Earthquake, Flying in Stone Edge and only really suffers with Water-Types, which is why it lives at Lush Jungle among Grass-Types which turns into food to Durant. The workers, however, are serene against the Human Kind and only attack them in order to defend it's nest. They mostly always attack in hordes.

Obviously based on a Fire Ant, and Fire Ants actually live in Hawaii. Competitive wise, it is very frail but is very strong. If it can force a switch to set up Swords Dance, it can be a very scarry sweeper. This is balanced, however, on it's 4x Stealth Rock weakness and poor defenses.

Despite that, they can live in land just as well as they can in the water. They hunt Dhelmises' algees and can appear if one calls for help.

Design
: Red turns blue, the body turns a baby blue and the green turns white. It's head is no longer curly, it has no scarf and has the hand-like structure like the below pick. it stands on these "hands" now, having the four on the back to sustent it's bode and the two on it's front raised, with it's body (Think of a centaurus)

Flavor: Alolan Escavalier are nocturnal creatures. They inhabit the areas around Lush Jungle and Brooklet Hill. This is a rare species due to it's shell being of an extreme valor to collectors. Alolan Escavaliers feed on Morelul and hunt them, while they work on mutualism with Paras and Parasect, freeing them from the Mushroom on their back while Parasect hunts food for Escavalier dusing the day. Both these Pokemon can call an Escavalier to help (!% Chance), but Morelull will be attacked while Paras will be helped.

Design
: Alolan Escavalier's shell is a spiral, pointy one that reflects light . It once again swap their black with blue, and the spears on it's hand is now beige and brown. It's yellow belly is now blue too. It has Shelmet's "aura" around it too, going around the shell

Pokemon: Rufflet
New typing: Fairy
New abilities: Friend Guard/Sheer Force (Synchronize)
New stats: 70/37/50/83/70(+20)/40(-20) (attack is swapped with special attack)
New moves: Baby-Doll Eyes, Charm, Dazzling Gleam, Disarming Voice, Fairy Wind, Misty Terrain, Moonlight
Removed moves: Brave Bird, Fly, Peck, Pluck, Roost, Sky Drop, Crush Claw, Cut, Fury Attack, Round, Slash, Strength, Thrash
Flavor: The Rufflets of Alola started developing more wings in order to fly more effectively between each island. Eventually, they grew so many wings that it became cumbersome to fly, and they are now land bound. They can sense emotions, and if they feel someone with ill intents, they will valiantly stand up to them and protect anyone that requires it. Their wings slow them down, but it also allowed them to develop a unique and unpredictable fighting style.
Design: Alolan Rufflet is somewhat angelic in design. Its color scheme to changes to pure white, pale blue and pale pink. Its body is covered in small, white wings, and it has two big ones on each side of its head as well. Its feathers are also somewhat more curved.

Pokemon: Braviary
New typing: Fairy/Fighting
New abilities: Berserk/Anger Point (Justified)
New stats: 100/57/75/123/105(+30)/50(-30) (attack is swapped with special attack)
New moves: Baby-Doll Eyes, Charm, Dazzling Gleam, Disarming Voice, Fairy Wind, Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Moonlight, Aura Sphere, Close Combat, Counter, Focus Blast, Power-Up Punch, Revenge, Vaccum Wave
Removed Moves: Brave Bird, Fly, Peck, Pluck, Roost, Sky Drop, Crush Claw, Cut, Fury Attack, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Round, Slash, Strength, Thrash
Flavor: Alolan Braviary is a violent Pokemon. It will react very strongly to any perceived injustice, and will attack anyone that it believes to have even a tiny bit of darkness in their hearts. Since that includes literally everyone, this causes problems. Braviary will often try to intervene in situations that they misunderstood, or will make an actually bad situation even worse. As such, they are considered a large nuisance in Alola. Trainers that aspire to have a Braviary are advised to impose good habits on them as a Rufflet and to teach them a proper moral worldview.
Design: Alolan Braviary takes the angelic theme a bit further than Rufflet. It has the same color scheme, as well as the same disproportionate amount of wings. Its body shape is somewhat more humanlike, though it still remains largely avian. The feathers on its head are replaced by two large feathers that curle back to form a halo of sort. In addition to all the wings Rufflet already has, its tail has been replaced by two medium sized wings.

New Typing: Bug/Water

Um yeah Water Bubble Accelgor is too strong. 120 SpAttack, priority and a stab that hits one of water's resists along with 125 speed and shell smash is way too powerfull. I would highly recommend changing Water Bubble to something else. Also, what are the Removed moves? Other than that, I like these submissions.

EDIT:

New moves: Baby-Doll Eyes, Charm, Dazzling Gleam, Disarming Voice, Fairy Wind, Misty Terrain, Moonblast, Moonlight, Close Combat, Counter, Focus Blast, Power-Up Punch, Revenge, Vaccum Wave
By any chance could you fit Aura Sphere into Alolan Braviary? I'd like it if you could.

Pokemon: Durant
New typing: Bug / Rock
New abilities: Heatproof / Hustle / Sturdy (HA)
New stats: 58 (+0) / 109 (+0) / 92 (-20) / 58 (+10) / 48 (+0) / 119 (+10) BST 484

Removed Moves (5)
Flash Cannon, Iron Defense, Metal Claw, Iron Head, Metal Sound

New Moves (9)
Head Smash, Power Gem, Rock Throw, Rock Blast, Smack Down, Stealth Rock, Ancient Power, Bulldoze, Flame Charge

Flavor/Design: Durant lives alongside Heatmor, its natural predator, in Wela Volcano Park. Due to the rocky environment and extreme heat, Durant's metal coating has been replaced with a coat of hot rocks, giving it a better chance of survival against Heatmor. The new sentimental armor does not protect Durant as much, but it is lighter, allowing the ant to move even faster. (Note: Alolan Durant's weight is 50.96 lbs / 23.1 kg)

Pokemon: Heatmor
New typing: Fire / Steel
New abilities: Battle Armor / Flash Fire / Tough Claws (HA)

New Moves (9)
Iron Head, Flash Cannon, Mirror Shot, Iron Tail, Iron Defense, Metal Claw, Heavy Slam, Earthquake, Stealth Rock

Flavor/Design: The brown armor that surrounds Heatmor is now more metalic and silver. The armor is also more prevalent around it. Its claws are now larger than ever. It evolved this way in alola to combat its prey, Durant, which has evolved to counter-act its fiery attacks. The armor it wears gibes it higher defensive capability and a bit of a power boost in exchange for mobility. (Note: Alolan Heatmor is 665.08 lbs / 301.6 kg)

Stat change net must equal 0. Durant's is 5 above and Heatmor's is 10 above. Heatmor also has learned 1 more move than it should have. You need to remove one, I'd say healing wish. Durant learned 6 more moves than it should. You can curcumvent this by removing Metal Claw, Sandstorm, Thunder Wave and Rock Polish which would give you 8 moves to add, but you need to remove a few. Also, Durant needs Waterfall (not required but highly suggested due to it being a physical attacker)

EDIT: if you Removed rain dance from Heatmor, you could keep all 11 moves.

Pokemon: Alolan Shelmet
New typing: Steel
New abilities: Inner Focus/Long Reach/Analytic
New stats: 50/40/95 (+10)/50 (+10)/65 (-10)/15 (-10) (BST 315)

Pokemon: Alolan Accelgor
New typing: Steel/Ice
New abilities: Skill Link/Long Reach/No Guard
New stats: 70 (-10)/85 (+15)/55 (+15)/105 (+5)/50 (-10)/130 (-15) (BST 495)

New moves: Powder Snow, Aurora Beam, Ice Beam, Icicle Spear, Ice Ball, Ice Shard, Ice Punch, Blizzard, Hail, Bullet Punch, Smart Strike, Iron Head, Metal Burst, Magnet Bomb, Mirror Shot, Flash Cannon, Autotomize, Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Rock Blast, Bullet Seed, Spike Cannon, Pin Missile, Shadow Ball, Seed Bomb, Weather Ball, Camouflage, Feint (29)
Removed moves: Water Shuriken, Absorb, Acid Spray, Struggle, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Bug Buzz, Recover, Venoshock, Rain Dance, Leech Life, Sludge Bomb, Infestation, Acid, Yawn, Acid Armor (16)
Flavor/Design: Shelmet, having to compete with the predators on Mt. Lanakila, steeled (heh) its resolve and armored up even further. As a result, it had to rely on projectiles to attack, and its armor eventually was modified to resemble a cannon.
Upon evolving, Accelgor ditches the shell, but still kept the projectile-focused combat style in its handcannons. It is able to fire shards of ice from them, which are formed from the snow it gathered around where it lives. It's not just ice either; Alolan Accelgor is able to take any objects of a small enough scale, and fire them from its handcannons.

JBC P2X7 Aquatic Panic Vanillish Wafer Rasdanation

Could one of you tell me when the slate ends (or, even better, pick up the habit of including the end date of each slate in its respective announcement post)? I'm asking because I have a few submissions nearly finished (Ice/Dragon Accelgor and Fire/Rock Braviary, for anyone who is interested), but it will take me a few more days to complete them to a proper degree of quality. Hence, I would like to know if I will be able to participate in this slate.

S0L1D G0LD, while I cannot speak for the council as a whole, I would be wholly surprised if this slate did not continue until Friday at the earliest.

Unrelated: I'm sneaking in a pair of submissions.

Pokemon: Karrablast
New typing: Bug / Dragon
New abilities: Rivalry / Inner Focus / Swarm (Hidden)
New stats: 30 (-20) / 103 (+28) / 20 (-25) / 42 (+2) / 30 (-15) / 90 (+30)
New/removed moves:
Removed moves (7): Take Down, Double-Edge, Bug Buzz, Energy Ball, Infestation, Screech, Signal Beam
New moves (6): Dragon Rage, Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor
Design: Alolan Karrablast is a hardy Pokemon with sweeping horns that resemble the antlers of a stag. Its limbs are protected by armor resembling greaves and an archer's bracers. The blue parts of Alolan Karrablast's body are yellow, and the regularly yellow parts are black.
Flavor: Alolan Karrablast are a species that thrives on order and structure, forming complicated social structures and unquestioningly fulfilling the duties they are given. Due to their heavy focus on law, Alolan Karrablast have become popular mascots for Alolan police forces, encroaching upon the spot held by Snubbull. Although they attack in a relentless manner, Alolan Karrablast despise lethal force, utilizing less harmful techniques whenever possible; however, an Alolan Karrablast is unable to control itself around Alolan Shelmet, violating its usual code of conduct and fighting mercilessly.

Pokemon: Escavalier
New typing: Ghost / Dragon
New abilities: Long Reach / Cursed Body / Oblivious (Hidden)
New stats: 100 (+30) / 110 (-25) / 80 (-25) / 70 (+10) / 120 (+15) / 15 (-5)
New/removed moves:
Removed moves (7): Take Down, Double-Edge, Bug Buzz, Energy Ball, Infestation, Screech, Signal Beam
New moves (14): Dragon Rage, Dragon Claw, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Shadow Ball, Spirit Shackle, Shadow Sneak, Will-O-Wisp, Curse, Destiny Bond, Pain Split, Healing Wish
Design: Alolan Escavalier is frailer than its Unovan counterpart, barely filling its shell. Rather than the traditional armor of a knight, Alolan Escavalier's body is protected by an ornate, gold and black helm resembling a dragon's head, dō-maru armor of identical coloring, and numerous lengths of a white, cloth-like substance that flow from the gaps near its abdomen and one shoulder. Pale wisps occasionally flit in and out of Escavalier's somewhat-oversized armature. Alolan Escavalier's arms are asymmetrical; one limb, protected by a single pauldron built to resemble a gold, avian wing, ends in a structure that resembles a longbow, and the other is unarmed, appearing identical to one of Karrablast's arms, albeit proportionately larger and with joints that allow for movement in the fashion of a human elbow, wrist, and fingers. The armor usually present below Alolan Escavalier's thorax looks like the tail of a mighty snake, and the once vivid colors of Alolan Escavalier's body are now a dull, tawny/ashen scheme.
Flavor: Alolan Escavalier is haunted by the repercussions of the behavior that triggered its evolution, causing it to waste away as it ignores its own physiological needs. Because Alolan Karrablast are transported to foreign Pokéballs before they are able to view the aftermath of their assaults, the Pokemon assume that the targeted Shelmet was slain by their own hand, which is a relentless source of grief; as penance for this behavior, Alolan Escavalier ceaselessly roam their habitats, collecting any spirits bound to the mortal world by unfinished business and helping to release them. The bleak Dragon-types are taciturn and generally unemotional, focusing entirely on any task with which they are presented.

The deep remorse in which they are mired leaves Alolan Escavalier with a drained will to fight; however, if they must defend themselves, the Pokemon strike quickly and without hesitation. Although they possess no apparent ammunition, if an Alolan Escavalier clears its mind and mimes the process of firing a bow, it can fire shards of eldritch energy; its most powerful attack is unleashed when it remembers the Shelmet it first victimized, causing it to conjure numerous phantom arrows that streak through the air in unpredictable patterns before converging and summoning a spectral rendition of said Shelmet. No known substance can successfully defend against this technique, but Escavalier is reluctant to utilize it; the Pokemon is often seen in a state of lachrymosity after defeating a foe in such a fashion.

Karrablast, the Clamping Pokemon

Sun: A fearsome species, Alolan Karrablast can repel enemies with a single display of its powerful horns. Although it maintains a serious façade, Alolan Karrablast is actually quite sensitive; for this reason, it was popular amongst royalty now long deceased.

Moon: Despite its bravado, Alolan Karrablast loathes inflicting pain, preferring to intimidate potential threats. However, it instinctively savages Alolan Shelmet on sight, a behavior made more peculiar by the species' separation.

Escavalier, the Cavalry Pokemon

Sun: An odd habit is shared amongst all Escavalier: if released, they congregate at the fields of Poni Meadow. Philosophers posit that the Pokemon are searching for someone or something they deem important.

Moon: Escavalier shares a close bond with the spirits lodging in its vacuous armor. The specters are said to change appearance to reflect Alolan Escavalier's current thoughts and emotions.

Alolan Karrablast is modeled after Dicranocephalus wallensii, colloquially known as the "Samoan dragon beetle", while Alolan Escavalier's design expands to include kyūdo, the Japanese martial art of archery, and the haunted house cliché of a possessed suit of armor.

Thanks to its high special bulk, respectable base 115 Attack, and wonderful defensive typing, Alolan Escavalier is a strong pivot, tank, and trapper, able to take on a variety of threats with relative ease; while best suited to blocking special attackers, Alolan Escavalier can shore up its weaker Defense stat with Will-O-Wisp, allowing it serve as a mixed wall. However, Alolan Escavalier's offensive abilities are limited by its lack of powerful coverage options, and the lack of reliable recovery hurts such a defensively oriented Pokemon.

Pokemon: Shelmet
New typing: Water / Dragon
New abilities: Rivalry / Shell Armor / Hydration (Hidden)
New stats: 40 (-10) / 70 (+30) / 65 (-20) / 60 (+20) / 55 (-10) / 15 (-10)
New/removed moves:
Removed moves (10): Absorb, Struggle Bug, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Bug Buzz, Leech Life, Energy Ball, Infestation, Bug Bite, Signal Beam
New Moves (9): Bubble, Bubble Beam, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Draco Meteor, Razor Shell, Iron Defense, Iron Head
Design: Alolan Shelmet's soft body is a vibrant azure, with cobalt and white stripes. Its shell resembles the gaping maw of an Eastern dragon.
Flavor: A rare sight amongst even Alolan natives, Alolan Shelmet is extremely sociable and spends most of its time engaging in enjoyable, social activities with other Pokemon. The shell of an Alolan Shelmet is its greatest pride, as the complexity of the shell directly corresponds to its ranking in the social hierarchy of its species; as a result, Alolan Shelmet will viciously defend their shells against any perceived threat, switching moods at the drop of a hat. Because it encounters no natural predators on its home in Poni Island, Alolan Shelmet has no need to develop combat abilities, giving it a reputation of being lazy; however, if it encounters an Alolan Karrablast, Alolan Shelmet battles with uncharacteristic ferocity, resorting to any tactic necessary to win.

Pokemon: Accelgor
New typing: Steel / Dragon
New abilities: Dry Skin / Sturdy / Water Bubble (Hidden)
New stats: 70 (-10) / 105 (Swap / +5) / 70 (+30) / 80 (Swap / +10) / 35 (-25) / 135 (-10)
New/removed moves:
Removed moves (10): Absorb, Struggle Bug, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Bug Buzz, Leech Life, Energy Ball, Infestation, Bug Bite, Signal Beam
New Moves (19): Bubble, Bubble Beam, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Draco Meteor, Razor Shell, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Metal Claw, Dragon Claw, Dual Chop, Slash, Sacred Sword, Night Slash, X-Scissor, Bullet Punch, Foresight, Counter
Design: Alolan Accelgor's body is completely covered by an intricate arrangement of silver metal plating, and its head is enveloped by a murky, mostly opaque bubble of water; azure light shines in a wide arc from the approximate location of its eyes. Alolan Accelgor's hands sport elongated fingers, and its body ends in a serpentine tail. Alolan Accelgor's scarf is now composed of chains of water bubbles. The Dragon-type's armor bears the scars of past battles, salient in that protecting its torso.
Flavor: Grievously injured in the process of losing its shell, Alolan Shelmet was forced to tear raw material from its new Pokeball in order to survive; for this reason, a trainer's Alolan Accelgor is always contained within a cracked, faulty machine. An enigmatic and relatively new species, even a recently evolved Alolan Accelgor's true form is hidden beneath a coating of metal; what few know is that the mentioned substance actually replace choice parts of Accelgor's anatomy. Although the exact degree to which it is altered is unknown, scientists estimate that the Pokemon's body is at least 40% inorganic.

Though encumbered by its new shell, Alolan Accelgor mirrors most of its Unovan counterpart's agility, stealth, and guile, which it combines to deadly effect with its recently augmented strength. Alolan Accelgor has an unusual affinity for water, possessing a limited form of psychokinesis that exclusively manipulates liquid water, and requiring continual exposure to the liquid in order to operate normally. Although it appears to be unarmed, Alolan Accelgor is able to quickly produce weaponry in several ways: shifting portions of its forearm allow Alolan Accelgor to fire pressurized water in the shape of Shuriken at high speeds; alternatively, the Pokemon can rearrange the plating on the same appendage to form a hollow, makeshift blade, through which it can force water with enough force to split boulders.

Alolan Accelgor is renowned for its stealth, power, and agility, qualities augmented by its evolution to the point of superiority over those of its distant cousins. In ages past, they were used as assassins by forgotten rulers; when the monarchy collapsed, measures were taken to prevent Accelgor from occurring naturally.

Shelmet, the Snail Pokemon

Sun: An outgoing and highly social Pokemon, Shelmet overcomes most challenges by befriending a person or Pokemon able to provide a solution. However, it instinctively forgoes this behavior to attack Karrablast whenever possible.

Moon: Regal, yet somewhat hedonistic, Alolan natives have given Shelmet the nickname "The Shelled Emperor." Interestingly, the accuracy of this title is more than most know, as Shelmet were once favored companions of Alolan royalty.

Accelgor, the Shell Out Pokemon

Sun: Exposure to electrical energy while heavily wounded by Karrablast triggers Accelgor's evolution. Although exceedingly powerful, it must cover its damaged body with metal to prevent further harm, and must regularly be exposed to water.

Moon: An odd habit is shared amongst all Alolan Accelgor: if released, they congregate at the peaks of Mount Lanakila; philosophers posit that the Pokemon are searching for someone or something they deem important.

My Alolan Shelmet line is primarily based on Glaucus atlanticus, more commonly known as the dragon slug, but expands to include elements of hydraulics and the classic hypothetical organism dubbed the cyborg.

I am no expert on standard play, preferring UU when possible, but I could see Alolan Accelgor running a few different sets to varying degrees of success, such as a Water Bubble Wallbreaker, a Sturdy + Spikes lead, a Revenge Killer, or a Life Orb + Dry Skin set under Rain. Although lacking in bulk, Alolan Accelgor's convenient defensive typing and potential immunity to Water-type attacks should provide ample opportunities to switch in. Finally, I would like to invite all who might speak out against the presence of Water Bubble to examine the following calculations.

252+ Atk Water Bubble Araquanid Liquidation vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 204-242 (50.4 - 59.9%) -- 82.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Water Bubble Accelgor Razor Shell vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 156-184 (38.6 - 45.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Despite Alolan Accelgor's higher base Attack score, Araquanid still makes better use of Water Bubble, in terms of raw damage, thanks to its higher powered Water-type attacks and the STAB it receives on said attacks. Furthermore, Alolan Accelgor's high base Speed means that it would like to run a speed-boosting nature, the results of which are detailed below.
252 Atk Water Bubble Accelgor Razor Shell vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 142-168 (35.1 - 41.5%) -- 77% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
What I attempt to convey is that Alolan Accelgor's raw damage output is not high enough for Water Bubble to be considered broken. Essentially, Water Bubble merely grants Accelgor powerful coverage moves, but not to such a degree as to be considered overpowered, especially when used by a Pokemon with paper-thin defenses and a weakness to a common priority attack, Mach Punch.

I would agree with P2, and I imagine most of the council would that the slate will remain open until Friday at least. We will discuss when it should close soon.

On another note, I'm going to count the starter slate votes soon.

Flavor: Based on the thunderbird, since Braviary has native-american headdress I thought this would be a pretty cool connection, and that’s about it. I mean in cannon they exist in Alola, this is more of them adapting to the dangerous skies that the actual Alolan habitat.

Design: Thanks to dealing with a lot of thunderstorms in the skies, Alolan Braviary adapted to be “one with the storms”, and even treasured as "stormbringers", their feathers turned a darker tone, with a lot of dark blue details, the wing feather have yellow details and make zig-zaggy patterns. It’s claws are the most different aspect, being sawlike and enormous in comparrisin to body size. These claws are used to catch big logs where they make nests for infant Rufflets that cannot fly but have to travel thru the storms anyways. Since their infants are also brought to these ventures they also developed in a similar way, gaining darker colours, altough and compared to regular Rufflet it is more fluffy and their feathers drop to their eyes blinding them so that they don’t see the ofuscating brightness of lightning flashes. Their claws are also saw-like so that they can hold themselves to the logs that Braviary carry. These logs are treated as symbols of good luck and sometimes they appear with beautiful markings due to Rufflet using them to sharpen their claws before they evolve and go look for a log to carry their own children.

Competitive: I mean Reckless is cool, and Wood Hammer helps with coverage, it can't abuse rain all that much but it can set it, plus Motor Drive is always cool. Probably will find the most use as a Scarfed Reckless abuser, Wild Charge/Brave Bird/Wood Hammer/Superpower is good coverage and 95 Speed is not bad to scarf.

Here is Durant:

Pokemon: Durant
New Typing: Bug / Ghost
New Abilities: Cursed Body/ Mold Breaker/ Berserk (HA)
New Stats: 78 / 48 / 68(+20) / 109 / 93(-20) / 109 Swapped Atk and Sp.Atk, swapped Def and Sp.Def

New Moves: Trick-or-treat, Shadow Ball, Bug Buzz, Astonish, Fire Blast, Spite, Will-o-wisp, Ominous Moves, Shadow Sneak, Phantom Force, Hex, Destiny Bond, Flamethrower, Stored Power. (+14)
Removed Moves:
Iron Head, Metal Claw, Rock Polish, Metal Sound, Sandstorm, Iron Defense, Baton Pass, Guillotine, ViceGrip, Crunch, Thunder Fang, Crunch, Bug Bite, Bite. (-14)

Design and Flavour: Durant that lived in Alola decided to hibernate for a long time. However when they woke up, outside of being mostly ethereal, it’s jaw was mostly ghost flames and a lot of body parts decayed and became never-ending smoke trails, kinda like zombie ghost ant. They’re mostly a white-ish grey with some light purple details. When they came out of the earth, they were treated as emissaries of the god of death but, weirdly enough, also were treated as signs of the prosperity of the earth. Of course these Durant were mostly harmless and they grew to accommodate to the modern world, normally borrowing under buildings and becoming friendly with all the humans that meet one in the night. They can become aggressive if threatened or if people it cares for are also threatened. They have been reported emerging from their slumbers in people’s basements.

Based on the Ghost Ant. That’s literally all that I know about them. I just chose them because of the name. Pretty much.

Competitive: Berserk and Mold Breaker are cool as heck and Z-Trick-or-treat is an amazing idea we have no abuser as of yet. Some cool coverage too.

Pokemon: Alolan Rufflet
New typing: Poison
New abilities: Intimidate / Dazzling (Tangling Hair)
New stats: 75(+5)/73(-10)/50/47(+10)/55(+5)/50(-10)
New/removed moves
:
Removed: Slash, Defog, Tailwind, Air Slash, Sky Drop, Whirlwind, Rock Tomb, Fly, Steel Wing, U-turn, Heat Wave, Superpower, Strength, Thrash, Shadow Claw (14)
New: Close Combat, Dragon Claw, Tearful Look, Acid Armor, Gunk Shot, Play Rough, Tail Whip, Drill Peck (8)
Flavor/Design: Rufflet in Alola are revered as messengers of the Tapus. Said to be blessed with Tapu Koko's agility, every island holds a yearly Rufflet race where the winner is given a Koko Ribbon. Alolan Rufflet have long, pink manes with purple stripes and thin tails that stick up, thought to be used in "feather dancing" to attract a mate. Their main body is purple and their legs are white with black claws on the end. Their beak is very sharp and thick, and females are known to have beaks much like that of Tapu Koko's. They expand their long, pink and purple mane to scare off predators when in danger, although due to the social nature of Braviary packs, Rufflet never battle without adult protection. Very friendly towards humans, any human watching a Braviary pack will be approached by smiling Rufflets looking for a cuddle.

Pokemon: Alolan Braviary
New typing: Poison/Fairy
New abilities: Magic Guard / Sheer Force (Psychic Surge)
New stats: 123(+23)/120(-3)/75/52(-5)/80(+5)/60(-20)
New/removed moves
:
Removed: Slash, Defog, Tailwind, Air Slash, Sky Drop, Whirlwind, Rock Tomb, Fly, Steel Wing, U-turn, Heat Wave, Thrash, Shadow Claw (13)
New: Close Combat, Dragon Claw, Tearful Look, Acid Armor, Gunk Shot, Play Rough, Tail Whip, Drill Peck, Beak Blast, Earthquake, Head Charge (11)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Braviary watch over the Rufflets in their pack, making sure they stay out of danger. Their wings are extremely large and full of pink fluff. These wings are used to hold Alolan Rufflet at night. The outside of their wings is pink with purple spots like the rest of their body, except for its long grey legs and extremely large mane as big as their huge bodies when stretched. Their mane is purple and is often used for carrying Rufflets around while its wings are full. It has five thin tail feathers and its beak is black, which only increases the amount of people comparing it to Tapu Koko. Its body is around seven times the size of a human, and despite the peaceful upbringing of Rufflets, Braviary are at their fighting peak constantly, with two Braviary able to defeat any kind of predator attacking their pack. It is said that these Braviary have the strength of Tapu Koko, the sturdiness of Tapu Bulu, the wisdom of Tapu Fini and the blessing of Tapu Lele.

Pokemon: Alolan Shelmet
Typing: Ground/Bug
New Abilities: Arena Trap/Shell Armor (Weak Armor)
New Stats: 60(+10)/50(+10)/85/30(-10)/65/15(-10)
New/Removed Moves:
Removed: Absorb, Giga Drain, Mega Drain, Acid, Acid Armor, Bug Buzz, Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Energy Ball (Total Loss:9)
New: Bug Bite, Leech Life, Lunge, Crunch, Dig, Earthquake, Magnitude, Stealth Rock, Screech (Total Gain:9)
Flavor/Design: In the harsh sands of Haina Desert Alolan Shelmet rapidly adapted to stay alive. It's helmet is now tan with the edges of the opening being serrated, giving the impression of teeth. Shelmet's skin is still pink, now looking like a tongue to the helmet's "mouth". It digs shallow holes to capture prey, and rarely moves from a hole it has dug.
Competitive: Behold, bulky diglett! While this thing would probably get banned in a heartbeat, it can switch in on a passive Pokémon, trap them, and easily set up curses with it's high bulk augmented by eviolite and recover. That's really all there is too it. Probably too OP.
Pokemon: Alolan Accelgor
New Typings: Ground/Bug
New Abilities: Sand Rush/Sand Force (Dry Skin)
New Stats: 80/100/80(+20)/50(-10)/30(-10)/145 (Physical and special defense and attack were swapped)
New/Removed Moves
Removed: Absorb, Acid Spray, Water Shuriken, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Venoshock, Rain Dance, Sludge Bomb, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, Bug Buzz (Total Loss:12)
New: Magnitude, Dig, Earthquake, Crunch, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Bug Bite, Lunge, Rock Polish, Screech, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Fire Fang (Total Gain:14)
Flavor/Design: Alolan Accelgor, fully adapted to the harsh conditions of Haina Desert, quickly burrows through the desert sands in search of prey. It's tan "helmet" lacks the lip of normal Accelgor and the opening is serrated, giving the impression of teeth, and can be opened and closed by Accelgor. It's body is smoother, tan, and segmented, and lacking the ribbons. Often mistaken as the mythological Sandworm, Accelgor attacks its targets by emerging underneath them, trapping the opponent in the maw of its helmet.
Competitive: A physical take on Accelgor that can function as a sand sweeper or an improved suicide lead. Sand Rush boosts it's speed to ludicrous levels whereas Sand Force allows it to hit harder with its Ground STAB. Access to Stealth Rocks and Spikes in tandem with Final Gambit makes it a potent suicide lead.
