[Magic Mayhem Maiden]

Hello! I am Magic Mayhem Maiden on the forums and Elissem on Showdown!, but Alteresque is my main username.

I'll be posting my art stuff here since I don't have a good place other than Discord. Most of these are my original characters or maps. These are made using Paint.Net because that's the app I grew up with. I usually work with a short burst of motivation to create these, so it'll take a while for me to create another drawing.

While I did make art, I also do like to create music! (the post below)

Slipmetal Works

Yes, they are upside down, standing on the ceiling! Long time ago, I watched an anime movie about a society where gravity is flipped (I don't remember the name). At Slipmetal Works, they explore outside their realm to scavenge or gain information about the newest technologies. I also love the steampunk genre, hence the gears.

These are my first drawings I can say are complete, when I first started shading and working on perspectives. Cinder Blair is my favorite artwork yet, with the vibrant colors and a cool outfit.

Blightning

Here's my first and latest drawings. This is my persona (changed a lot over time), and an interdimensional traveller going across franchises.

I didn't mean to put these drawings together, but wow I can see the difference in shading and posing. I used boxes to help me draw Blightning in 3D, which I still have a hard time visualizing. I still need to work on the head and face, as well and the line control, but I'm really happy with what I made in 2025.

[Magic Mayhem Maiden]

Before drawing, I started with making music. While I started in 2021, I truly realized music as an art form in 2022 after listening to Silentroom and Nhelv. However, my main inspiration for my music comes from the orchestral music I played during school and Steampianist. I use OnlineSequencer to create these two music below. I feel like making music is harder than drawing since you can't see it, and instead have to hear it to see what to do, and as a result takes much longer.

Immortal Inferno

This melody had been floating in my head forever. I'm surprised I managed to craft a complete song out of this, even if it took many years. The second half is my favorite part I have made so far. It is somewhat bit empty, but I think that creates a somber tone that will probably be the style of my music. For the art, I traced out a marble machine, which has a similar appearance and mechanisms to a music box. This song is another character's theme, and the marble machine is an important symbol for them.

Also has taken many years. I was wondering how a song with a repetitive melody can be entrancing, and I think I did pretty well! The strings, but especially the ticking clock I sampled, elevate this a lot. The atmosphere was watching the mountains off in the horizons at night, also shown in the art.
