[SET COMMENTS]
Amoonguss is a great mixed wall on Grass teams that can act as a hard-to-remove defensive pivot thanks to Regenerator, stay healthy throughout the game with its healing options, and check key threats such as Iron Valiant, Sneasler, and Enamorus. It can also absorb Toxic Spikes and switch in on Toxic, which is crucial for Grass teams. Foul Play lets Amoonguss turn the tables on Swords Dance users such as Scizor and Mimikyu as well as physically oriented Dragapult and Jirachi. Sludge Bomb allows Amoonguss to hit Spore-immune Pokemon and major threats such as Breloom, Meowscarada, and Iron Valiant. Finally, Spore allows Amoonguss to give its teammates, such as Torterra and Ogerpon-H, free turns to set up by putting foes to sleep. Rocky Helmet punishes contact moves such as Choice Scarf Sneasler's Dire Claw and stops the opponent from using U-turn for free on Amoonguss. Heavy-Duty Boots can be run if Brambleghast is not a teammate, as it allows Amoonguss to come in without worrying about entry hazard damage. The given EV spread allows Amoonguss to survive Choice Specs Greninja's Ice Beam so that it can be put to sleep by Spore while being as physically bulky as possible.

Ogerpon-H appreciates being able to come in on sleeping foes and potentially win the game with Swords Dance. It also threatens Steel- and Ice-types, such as Corviknight, Gholdengo, Alolan Ninetales, and Articuno. In exchange, Amoonguss can not only put foes to sleep but also absorb Toxic Spikes and Toxic from walls such as Toxapex and take on revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Sneasler. Torterra is another setup sweeper that greatly appreciates Amoonguss removing Toxic Spikes and putting opposing Pokemon to sleep with Spore to create a free setup opportunity. In return, Torterra threatens opposing Poison- and Steel-types, such as Galarian Slowking and Gholdengo, that Amoonguss doesn't want to deal with. Hisuian Lilligant is another good partner for Amoonguss, as it appreciates being able to use Victory Dance on sleeping foes that would otherwise threaten it, such as Landorus, as well as fit a coverage move of choice over Sleep Powder. It also appreciates Amoonguss taking on the threats that it cannot handle even after a boost, such as Choice Scarf Enamorus and Choice Scarf Sneasler. In return, Hisuian Lilligant can beat Gliscor and Dragonite on Flying teams thanks to Ice Spinner while hitting Steel-types such as Heatran that can threaten Amoonguss. Breloom can also beat opposing Steel-types thanks to its Fighting STAB moves, as well as tackle troublesome Dark-types such as Kingambit thanks to Mach Punch. Choice Scarf Meowscarada provides Grass teams with speed control, as well as hitting dangerous threats such as Chien-Pao, Hydreigon, Galarian Slowking, and Hoopa-U. It appreciates Amoonguss being able to switch in on Fairy-types like Clefable in return. Brambleghast can remove hazards to let Amoonguss run Rocky Helmet and switch in more safely. It can also set its own hazards thanks to Spikes, letting it compound on Amoonguss's Rocky Helmet chip damage. Finally, Brambeghast can switch into Hurricane from the likes of Zapdos and Tornadus-T, hit annoyances to Amoonguss, such as Hatterene and Gholdengo, with a strong Poltergeist, and revenge kill threats such as Flutter Mane with Shadow Sneak. Sinistcha serves as a reliable answer to threats such as Zamazenta that would otherwise use Amoonguss as setup fodder. Abomasnow provides Amoonguss with a nifty Ice neutrality, being able to take on Chien-Pao thanks to its defensive typing, snow's Defense boost, and Aurora Veil. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain for Amoonguss to help it recover without having to switch out or use a turn on Synthesis.

Clear Smog is a good option over Sludge Bomb, as it lets Amoonguss beat setup Pokemon one-on-one that would otherwise use it as fodder, such as Clefable. Amoonguss can run Black Sludge for some extra longevity; however, both the chip damage of Rocky Helmet and the safe switch-ins afforded by Heavy-Duty Boots usually do better than it considering Amoonguss's already-excellent staying power. Worry Seed is an option to cripple Gliscor by removing its Poison Heal, but it is hard to fit on the set.

Amoonguss is a great mixed wall on Grass teams that can provide setup opportunities for teammates such as Ogerpon-H with Spore and stay healthy throughout the game with both Synthesis and Regenerator (notably important for helping you deal with threats such as Iron Valiant, Sneasler, Enamorus; also significant as Grass's only Toxic/Toxic Spikes absorber and as a generally good defensive pivot. Reword this sentence to be more specific about these things). Foul Play is very important for Amoonguss, as it lets it turn the tables on Swords Dance users such as Scizor and Ogerpon-C (+2 252 Atk Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon-Cornerstone Ivy Cudgel vs. 240 HP / 164 Def Amoonguss: 402-474 (93.7 - 110.4%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO. Sub for Mimikyu. Foul Play is also good for physically oriented Dragapult and Jirachi sets). Sludge Bomb allows Amoonguss to hit Grass-types such as Breloom and Meowscarada, (and Iron Valiant and Clef; valuable because teammates struggle with these) that cannot be put to sleep by Spore, rather hard, while its poison chance is always helpful. Synthesis allows Amoonguss to not have to rely on Regenerator, and by extension switching out, for recovery. (filler) Finally, Spore allows Amoonguss to give its teammates free turns by putting opponents to sleep (could move the setup opportunites idea here). It also lets Amoonguss freely recover its HP with Synthesis. Rocky Helmet punishes contact moves such as Choice Scarf Sneasler's Dire Claw and means that the opponent cannot use U-turn for free on Amoonguss. (HDBs if opting for no Brambleghast to prevent Amoon from being worn down while switching around) The given EV spread allows Amoonguss to survive Choice Specs Greninja's Ice Beam (so you can Spore it?) while being as physically bulky as possible.

Ogerpon-H is a great teammate for Amoonguss, as it appreciates being able to come in on sleeping opponents and potentially win the game with Swords Dance. It also threatens opposing Grass-types such as Meowscarada and opposing Amoonguss with Ivy Cudgel (Corviknight, Heatran, Gholdengo, Alolan Ninetales, Articuno etc... beating Steel- and Ice-types way more important here). In exchange, Amoonguss can not only put opponents to sleep, but also (repetition) absorb Toxic Spikes and Toxic from walls such as Toxapex and take on revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Landorus and Darkrai (by putting them to sleep? Otherwise it's just a sack. Amoon beats Scarf Sneasler). Torterra is another setup sweeper that greatly appreciates Amoonguss removing Toxic Spikes and putting opponents to sleep with Spore to give Torterra a free setup opportunity. In return, Torterra threatens opposing Poison-types, such as Galarian Slowking (Alolan Muk comes to mind; also another way of threatening Steels like Hisuian Goodra, Kingambit etc), that Amoonguss can't handle. Hisuian Lilligant is another good partner for Amoonguss, as it appreciates being able to use Victory Dance on sleeping opponents that would otherwise threaten it, such as Landorus. It also appreciates Amoonguss taking on the Fairy-types that it cannot handle, such as (Sneasler is not a Fairy-type) Choice Scarf Enamorus and Choice Scarf Sneasler. In return, Hisuian Lilligant can beat non-Moltres Flying teams thanks to Ice Spinner (be more specific here; mention targets like Dragonite and Gliscor) while hitting Steel-types such as Heatran that can threaten Amoonguss. Breloom can also beat opposing Steel-types thanks to its Fighting STAB moves, while being able to tackle troublesome Ice-types such as Choice Band Chien-Pao with Mach Punch. (Scarf Meowscarada to punish Chien-Pao, Hydreigon, Galarian Slowking, Hoopa-U etc; appreciates Amoon dealing with Fairy-types) (Brambleghast as spinner and hazard setter to make Amoonguss's switches safer and compounding on Amoon's Rocky Helmet chip with Spikes damage) (Sinistcha as answer to Ursa-B and Landorus)

*Missing Sinistcha, beats Zamazenta

In return, Hisuian Lilligant can beat Gliscor and Dragonite on Flying teams thanks to Ice Spinner, while hitting Steel-types such as Heatran that can threaten Amoonguss. Breloom can also beat opposing Steel-types thanks to its Fighting STAB moves, while being able to tackle troublesome Ice-types such as Choice Band Chien-Pao thanks to Mach Punch (not pao, due to Ice Shard, Kingambit might be better). Choice Scarf Meowscarada provides Amoonguss (Grass teams instead?) with Speed control, while hitting dangerous threats such as Chien-Pao, Hydreigon, Galarian Slowking, and Hoopa-U. It appreciates Amoonguss being able to take on Fairy-types like Clefable (Ig Swap into instead, as I mentioned before CM Clef should beat amoongi) in return. Brambleghast can remove hazards to let Amoonguss run Rocky Helmet and get safe switch-ins. It can also set its own hazards thanks to Spikes, letting it compound on Amoonguss's Rocky Helmet chip damage. Sinistcha serves as a reliable answer to threats such as Landorus and Ursaluna-B that would otherwise severely threaten Amoonguss (umm, not these, Bramb provides a hurricane swap in that bricks Zapdos and some Tornaduses, can run Polter to mess with Hatterene and Gholdengo that annoy grass teams, and can run ssneak to pick off threats like Flutter Man and Spectrier which can be annoying too).
*Missing Sinistcha, beats Zamazenta
*Missing Abomasnow, it "beats" Chien-Pao
*Missing Rillaboom for extra recovery

*Clear Smog is good on Amoon, dealing with bulky setuppers like Clefable
Amoonguss can run Black Sludge for some extra longevity; however, both the chip damage of Rocky Helmet and the safe switch-ins afforded by Heavy-Duty Boots usually do better than it considering Amoonguss's already-excellent staying power. Worry Seed is an option to cripple Gliscor by removing its Poison Heal, but it is hard to fit on the set.

[SET COMMENTS]
Amoonguss is a great mixed wall on Grass teams that can act as a hard-to-remove defensive pivot thanks to Regenerator, stay healthy throughout the game with its healing options, and be a check to key threats such as Iron Valiant, Sneasler, and Enamorus. It can also absorb Toxic Spikes and switch in on Toxic, which is crucial for Grass teams. Foul Play is very important for Amoonguss, as it lets it Amoonguss turn the tables on Swords Dance users such as Scizor and Mimikyu as well as physically oriented Dragapult and Jirachi. Sludge Bomb allows Amoonguss to hit Spore-immune Pokemon and major threats such as Breloom, Meowscarada, and Iron Valiant. Finally, Spore allows Amoonguss to give its teammates, such as Torterra and Ogerpon-H, free turns to set up by putting opponents opposing Pokemon to sleep. Rocky Helmet punishes contact moves such as Choice Scarf Sneasler's Dire Claw and means that stops the opponent cannot use from using U-turn for free on Amoonguss. Alternatively, Heavy-Duty Boots can be run if Brambleghast is not a teammate, as it allows Amoonguss to come in without worrying about entry hazard damage. The given EV spread allows Amoonguss to survive Choice Specs Greninja's Ice Beam so that it can be put to sleep by Spore while being as physically bulky as possible.

Ogerpon-H is a great teammate for Amoonguss, as it appreciates being able to come in on sleeping opponents foes and potentially win the game with Swords Dance. It also threatens Steel- and Ice-types, such as Corviknight, Gholdengo, Alolan Ninetales, and Articuno. In exchange, Amoonguss can not only put foes to sleep (RC) but also absorb Toxic Spikes and Toxic from walls such as Toxapex and take on revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Sneasler. Torterra is another setup sweeper that greatly appreciates Amoonguss removing Toxic Spikes and putting opponents opposing Pokemon to sleep with Spore to give Torterra create a free setup opportunity. In return, Torterra threatens opposing Poison- and Steel-types, such as Galarian Slowking and Gholdengo, that Amoonguss doesn't want to deal with. Hisuian Lilligant is another good partner for Amoonguss, as it appreciates being able to use Victory Dance on sleeping opponents foes that would otherwise threaten it, such as Landorus, (comma) Additionally, Hisuian Lilligant appreciates not having to run Sleep Powder so that it can as well as fit a coverage move of choice over Sleep Powder. It also appreciates Amoonguss taking on the things threats that it cannot handle even after a boost, such as Choice Scarf Enamorus and Choice Scarf Sneasler. In return, Hisuian Lilligant can beat Gliscor and Dragonite on Flying teams thanks to Ice Spinner (RC) while hitting Steel-types such as Heatran that can threaten Amoonguss. Breloom can also beat opposing Steel-types thanks to its Fighting STAB moves, while being able to as well as tackle troublesome Dark-types such as Kingambit thanks to Mach Punch. Choice Scarf Meowscarada provides Grass teams with speed control, while as well as hitting dangerous threats such as Chien-Pao, Hydreigon, Galarian Slowking, and Hoopa-U. It appreciates Amoonguss being able to swap switch in on Fairy-types like Clefable in return. Brambleghast can remove hazards to let Amoonguss run Rocky Helmet and get safe switch-ins switch in more safely. Abomasnow provides Amoonguss with a nifty Ice neutrality, while being able to take on Chien-Pao thanks to the aforementioned neutrality its defensive typing, snow's Defense boost, and Aurora Veil. Rillaboom provides Grassy Terrain for Amoonguss to help it recover without having to switch out or use a turn on Synthesis.
