I love this move.
I love this move more than any other move.
I love this move so much that I built a team around it. And this team… Is EXPLOSIVE!!!

Here’s the lineup…

...And here’s the pitch

The Explosive Anti-Lead!

Why use him?
Well, this guy is the best choice for a lead because he can stop most other leads and anti leads, can learn SR to be an actual lead, and, to top it off, when I’m done with it, I can Explode. I knew he was the perfect choice, because he’s fast, strong, and one of the best leads in the game, let alone an explosion team.
Stats, Moves, And Opinion
Item: focus sash
Nature: naïve
Evs: 252 Spd, 130 Atk, 128 SpA
Purpose: Lead
Moves:
    • Stealth Rock - why should a lead be caught without it?
    • Psychic – STAB move with 90 BP. It can do some major damage with its great SpA. It can strike down many common leads and break combos started by your opponent.
    • Flamethrower – whatever psychic can’t hit, this move does. Bronzong, Jirachi, and Metagross, all very common pokemon in the current metagame. Also, the occasional burn is pleasant.
    • Explosion – you saw that coming didn’t you? It does HUGE damage on the opponent with it’s large Atk. After Azelf gets put in a bad position, you can just explode it, KOing both of them.
The Kamikaze Sweeper
Why use him?
Well, Shiftry is like another version of Azelf. He’s a little less quick, a little less strong, but this guy has sweeping capabilities. I didn’t know what to put in this slot at first. I tried a few other pokemon, and thought that none of them would work, but then I found out that Shiftry could explode, and has sweeping capabilities with Swords Dance, and tried it out, finding out that he had real potential! Now he’s a great addition to this team.

Item: life orb
Nature: jolly
Evs: 240 Spd, 240 Atk, 30 HP
Purpose: physical sweeper
Moves:
    • Swords Dance – this is the crux of this set. It helps set up to make him way more powerful to attack harder with...
    • Sucker Punch - since there are faster pokemon than him, a priority move is required. It has STAB and with Swords Dance it can OHKO a full health Rotom-H. Pretty good huh?
    • Seed Bomb - this is the STAB Swampert remover. It's also pretty good against Gyarados. With STAB it has 120 BP. That's realy powerful.
    • Explosion - Oh Wow!!! An Explosion after a Swords Dance! That has enough power to OHKO any Blissey, any Gliscor, and any Skarmoray. Enough said!
The Big Bang Blaster

Why use him?

Well, he's powerfull, he can take hits, and he has a nasty final resort in the form of selfdestruct under his belt. He was the first I chose in this team because of all those traits. He can really crush some of the competition

Stats, Moves, and Opinion

Item: leftovers
Nature: adament
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 HP
Purpose: tank
Moves:

  • Selfdestruct - This move is 300 BP including STAB, so it packs a HUGE punch
  • Curse - this is the crux of this set, because it bulks him up to increase his BANG!
  • Thunderpunch - just there because it's anti - Gyarados, and makes sure he doesn't get walled by a Ghost
  • Return - This does 102 BP at most WITHOUT STAB. With STAB it has 153 BP
The Bombardier Rocker

Why Use Him?
Heatran is a great supporter in this team, because he can spread the joy of burn all over your opponents' pokemon, pack a pretty powerful punch, and Explode good and well.

Stats, Moves, and Opinion
Item: leftovers
Nature: relaxed
EVs: 150 SpA, 102 Atk, 200 Hp, 58 Def
Purpose: tank
Moves:
  • Will O' Wisp - this move is the crux of this set, alowing you to crutch your enemies and get them repeated damadge. A very usefull move
  • Overheat - since he normally winds up exploding, the downside to this powerfull move is almost incohearant.
  • Earth Power - now, this move is for whatever overheat doesn't hit. A decent move.
  • Explosion - like I said, this guy is a great Exploder. He can take down almost anyone with it's powerfull move.
The Cleaner Uper!

Why use him?

Well, he can burn, attack hard, and defend lots of Special Attacks. I love the fact that he can learn the attack Hydro Pump too. I chose as a multi-purpose pokemon. He's a decent wall, revenge killer, sweeper, and annoyer. I normaly use him as a revenge killer, but he can be sent out at almost any time. He's the go-to pokemon of this team.

Stats, Moves, and Opinion

Item: leftovers
Nature: timid
EVs: 252 SpA, 118 Spd, 6 HP, 134 SpD
Purpose: multi - purpose
Moves:

  • Thunderbolt - this move has STAB to increase the damage it does. It counters a lot enemy pokemon that are harmfull to this team
  • Hydro Pump - this move is powerfull, and can be used repeatedly. Basicaly, a great move that widens Rotom's range
  • Will O' Wisp - this is the crux of this set. It realy helps screw up your opponent.
  • Shadow Ball - It has the same purpose as Hydro Pump, except it has 100% accuracy.
The Flaming Powerhouse!

Why use him?
Why not use him? He's considered, by many, a great revenge killer, as well as a sweeper, and his typing provides ecxellent coverage. He's got big power, and usually takes out more than 1 pokemon per entrance.

Stats, Moves, and Opinion
Item: flame orb
Nature: jolly
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
Purpose: revenge killer
Moves:

  • Facade - this is the crux of this whole set. It does almost as much as Explosion!
  • Megahorn - VERY powerfull move with STAB
  • Pursuit - instead of Swords Dance for extra power, pursuit helps so that there are no switch ins into something that'll wall him, and also to take care of the ghosts. It's a very usefull move
  • Close Combat -VERY powerfull with STAB
The game plan for this team is too get rid of the core of the opponents team, and finish them with powerfull moves. It is quite effective, and in exactly 43 battles I've now fought, I lost ONLY TWICE!!! (both to the same person: Lord Liam) I still think that there's room for improvement, though. I want some people's opinions on what I should cut, add, or tweak!

Remember, be polite. Critism is OK, but no flaming or cursing.

KEEP ROCKING, ROLLING, AND BATTLING GUYS!!!

I plan on rating this team, but since you wrote it in Word, you might want to remove the formatting :)

I'll check up on this tomorrow and edit in a rate.

Oh, COME ON PEOPLE! Why won't anyone even reply. I guess no one pays attention to my threads...

I hate my inpopularity!

I had an Explosion team myself, and it's hard to really identify problem pokemon because you can just blow up on most of them. There is a major flaw though that I see here, and its that 5 out 6 of your pokemon are destroyed by burns. Essentially a Dusknoir or a defensive Rotom can come in on Shiftry's Sword Dance or, god forbid, one of your pokemon's Explosion, and just throw burns left and right (I don't know how much Seed Bomb will do, but I bet you wouldn't risk getting seriously injured and attempt the Sucker Punch).

You know who loves Will-o-Wisps? Heatran does. It's probably your best bet since your team is so hyper-offensive. I would recommend a Bulky-Tran instead of your Metagross since Rotom Appliances are going to dump all over that Metagross. Perhaps a more Support-ish set is in order, just so other physical attackers can get screwed over and helpless against your explosions.

Heatran @Leftovers
Nature: Modest
EV's: 252 HP / 240 SpD / 16 SpA
Moves:
-Will-o-Wisp
-Overheat
-Earth Power/Roar
-Substitute/Explosion

If the support sets don't suit you well, there's a whole lot of other sets you can try out.

If you're using that set, though, then you can go ahead and replace Will-o-Wisp with Trick on your washing machine. Walls love to get done over by slapping a Choice Scarf onto them, and then you won't even need to explode on them to remove their usefulness.

Finally, if you really need two choice scarfers on your team, I suggest a pokemon that isn't so frail, since any pokemon with boosted speed is going to shred through your team. In fact, if you use Rotom for your revenge kills, why don't you use a pokemon that can set-up and rampage through the holes your other pokemon are going to make on the opposing team. Gyarados can take all the ground and fighting moves aimed at your other pokes and use it to set up. A SubBounce set is going to simply destroy any pokemon that's weakened from Explosions and it can block burns using Substitute. Just Sub when you switch in, scount what your opponent switches in, blow up that pokemon, then you can bring back Gyarados and they'll be without their counter. With all the exploding you do, another set-up sweeper is essential to this team, and I think Gyarados has the typing and all to make it happen.

You can then switch out the washing machine for whatever Rotom-appliance you feel is right for you.

Hmmm... You just gave me a brainstorm. Thanks!

I'm thinking, a Flame Orb - Facade - (Herror)Cross... Mabey as a revenge killer instead of Nape

Also, that Gyarados idea is also good... A SubBounce is great, and you are right, he does cover most types.

I wouldn't get rid of Metagross just yet, though, because never once has a pokemon ever survived his Explosion. He's a very usefull and reliable pokemon for this teAm, and he's solumnly failed me.

I'll test the Cross, the T-Ran, and the Gyarados for my team.

EDIT: I tested this and have decided what to do of WoW: keep them both! Now, having one pokemon using WoW is nice, but having 2 really spams burn all over the opponent's pokemon is more usefull than having one pokemon know a move that sometimes just screws you up.

EDIT: I made the changes!!!

Ugh... I made the changes and wound up losing...

EDIT: I tested Gyarados out, and he really helped!
I'm also testing Curselax for a late game sweeper
