an OFFENSIVE team

PLEASE DO NOT RATE THIS TEAM ANYMORE. I WANT IT BUMPED.

I've been thinking of this team a really long time. It is primarily offensive, but isn't hopeless is the defense department. My team is sort of centered around cresselia, but each pokemon has its own strengths. Two trappers help me to reach my goal. When this team does well, it does well. but i once lost a battle 0-6. so RATE MY TEAM.

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Intimidate
Adamant
216 HP / 16 Atk / 176 Def / 100 Spe

-dragon dance
-taunt
-waterfall
-stone edge

with all of the bronzong leads going around, i felt the need to try out a bulky gyarados. i usually taunt on the first turn if the opponent is defensive. and they usually always fall for it. i was surprised when this thing survived a bronzong's explosion. taunt also protects gyarados from taking will-o-wisps or thunder waves from slower opponents. this guy can also come back later with a few dragon dances and sweep a little bit. also serves as a counter to heatran.

Salamence @ Choice Band
Intimidate
Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

-dragon claw
-earthquake
-rock slide
-flamethrower

salamence is the team's main physical sweeper. dragon claw and EQ are for coverage. rock slide helps against gyarados. and flamethrower is for steels who try to come in and wall.

Roserade @ Choice Specs
Natural Cure
Timid
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

-leaf storm
-HP [fire]
-sludge bomb
-shadow ball

the special sweeper. i absolutely love roserade. she can pack as much punch with leaf storm as salamence could with draco meteor. shadow ball is for gengar. and hidden power fire is for steels who would otherwise wall roserade.

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Magnet Pull
Modest
172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe

-thunderbolt
-HP [fire]
-magnet rise
-substitute

magnezone is trapper #1. he traps and kills skarmory and the occasional forretress like no other. substitue, magnet rise if needed, and kill. magnezone often comes in against something who fears it and then gets up a sub. very nice. i have hidden power fire mainly because i couldnt get ice or grass, but its been surprisingly helpful. HP fire helps take out forretress before he can really do anything and once OHKO'd a heracross after a CC for me.

Dugtrio @ Life Orb
Arena Trap
Jolly
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

-earthquake
-rock slide
-aerial ace
-night slash

trapper #2. i went jolly since he's already packing life orb. dugtrio really helps me take down walls like blissey. he also serves as the team's revenge killer. EQ for STAB. rock slide's flinch often comes in handy. aerial ace is for things like heracross and infernape who cant get away. i havent had much use for night slash, but it does occasionally help against gengar.

the star of the show:

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Levitate
Bold
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

-calm mind
-psychic
-ice beam/charge beam
-rest

credit for this EV spread and moveset goes to BIGarceusFAN2. the defense EV's are to survive as many physicl attacks as possible. also, calm mind will raise her special defense later on. i once battled against this cresselia on shoddy and she totally devasated my team. i'm now trying this out for myself and with good results. psychic and ice beam are ineffective against anything with a stell typing, so i'm considering charge beam. the main idea is to get as many calm minds as possible and then rest off the damage. then she becomes part tank, as no special attacker can touch her, and part sweeper. this thing is amazing.

so please RATE MY TEAM!!!

Cresselia's attacks are ineffective against more than just Bronzong and Metagross, but a lot of other common competitors like Empoleon, Magnezone, Forretress, Scizor, Registeel, Jirachi, Heatran, Slowbro, Slowking, and especially Starmie and Weavile who could particularly harm this team. I know this is supposed to be an offense oriented team, but I think you should add a Blissey or another special wall to take on the special threats as well as a spinner to help your team's weakness with s.r.

Overall, the team needs fixing, but it has a few good pieces to craft a synergy out of. From what I see, this team should look to set up a Gyarados sweep by wearing the opponent down with entry hazards and CBed hits.

I'd move Roserade to the lead position, and make it a Focus Sash lead with Sleep Powder/Toxic Spikes/Grass Knot/HP Fire. This will allow you to set up Toxic Spikes and cripple the opposing team.

Salamence it can stay as is, even though Life Orb variants are more popular now, Salamence can help work towards a Gyarados sweep by denting walls. Use Stone Edge > Rock Slide.

I'd make Gyarados more offensively-oriented, with 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Speed with Wacan Berry, and Ice Fang/Stone Edge/Dragon Dance/Waterfall. This allows you to get the best coverage, and survive non-STAB Thunderbolts from Starmie or Gengar.

As your primary offensive threats are air based, I would add Donphan to the team, with a spread of 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def Impish with Rapid Spin/Stealth Rock/Earthquake/Ice Shard. It fills the need for a spinner, while having a bulky Stealth Rock user.

I'd replace Dugtrio with Celebi with Grass Knot, Thunder Wave, Heal Bell, Recover. Again, it provides team support with paralysis and healing any nasty ailments against your team.

Finally, I'd make Cresselia more defensive, with a 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 SAtk spread, with Reflect/Charge Beam/Ice Beam/Moonlight (or Rest because you have a cleric). This will serve as a Garchomp counter while providing more coverage against Gyarados.

i also use this team in my pokemon diamond game, so im kind of resistant to adding celebi to my team as i cant get it.

i am trying to think of a good spinner to add to the team, but if i did add donphan, id have one more pokemon that would be weak to the boltbeam combo, and i dont want that to happen.

i really like cresselia the way she is now, but should i use charge beam over ice beam on cresselia?

Roserade having Sludge Bomb covers absolutely nothing that your other attacks don't already. Try Extrasensory, or go with some kind of support option (although then you rework the whole set so...)

A Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt/Ice Beam/Superpower Deoxys-S can give you some problems, although that is the case with most - if not all offensive teams. I'm also not seeing the whole "trap" theme doing much for you either. My suggestion is to replace a Pokemon with some good support, in the form of Bronzong. It can set up Stealth Rock for you, pass on Reflects/Light Screen and of course kill Deoxys-S. I'd place it over Dugtrio. Something like:

Brongzong @ Leftovers
Sassy - 252 HP/128 Attack/128 Sp.Defence
-Gyro Ball
-Stealth Rock
-Hypnosis
-Light Screen/Reflect

Should do you good :).

-GEC.
