I think it would be a good idea to have a small section in the analysis for the Pokémon that tells which changes that have been made, and when. It wouldn't need to tell much, just one small sentence, maybe like what is written on the front page when the analysis get updated, to tell if it was a full rewamp, or just a new set. I think this would be useful to see if the analysis are outdated or not. For excample, if you go to an analysis, and see that the last update was almost two years ago, you could guess that it was outdated and you would need to go somewhere else. It might not be very useful for people that play much with good people, but many people come to Smogon to get an useable moveset for their favourite Pokémon, and are not experienced enough to tell if an analysis are outdated. With something telling when it was changed, people can think how probable it is that the analysis is outdated.
The idea are not perfect. The dates for the changes can't tell if they are actually outdated. But I think it could be useful in many cases, to see. I haven't got any better idea.
Maybe there should be a way for people to mark an analysis as outdated, that could get reset evert rewamp. But then people could abuse it, and mark for no reason. Maybe you should need to register somewhere to do it.
I can't come up with a perfect idea now, but I think it would be better if you could see if an analysis is outdated.
