Whats up? This team I made to showcase the power of the offensive Deo-S. I managed to ladder all the way up to 1850 (I'm still new, that's my record currently.) As well this team shows the power of a fully offensive Aegislash, far superior (IMO) to all the KS sets running around. This team lacks walls or tanks, and focuses on maintaining constant pressure with my offensive threats.I have so far had no trouble with stall, but that is generally due to the surprise factor of Deo-S and Aegi smashing through a wall. This also shows my favorite mega, Gyarados. Many people favor others, but the mind games of when I will evolve, wins me over. Plus I love that it kills Rotom-W due to mold breaker.
On to the Team!

Deoxys-Speed "The Cheetah"
@ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature
- Ice Beam
- Psycho Boost
- Superpower
- Fire Punch
This is Deoxys. Many people it to be a simple SR/taunt/magic coat/etc. set. That allows me to use it, essentially, as a lure. When i switch it in, people send in taunt Gliscor to halt the imaginary hazards. BAM, an ice beam to the face. Ice beam smashes Gliscor, D-nite, Garchomp and more. Psycho boost allows for revenge killing of unsuspecting fighting sweepers. Superpower (usually) gets the KO on Tyranitar and around 50% of the time on Greninja, depending on the set. Fire punch hits Scizor trying to set up, along with Ferrothorn and Fortress and more. I see it as the "Cheetah" becuase he sits quitely, waiting for the perfect mement to strike, then does.
Aegislash "The Raptor"
@Life Orb Spooky Plate
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SAtk
Brave Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Iron Head
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Ball
This is Aegislash. He hungers for your soul. This is this Aegislash is slightly unorthodox, but it works very well. I bring in Aegislash, shadow ball, then shadow sneak. KO's most of the metagame, especially with the nerf to steel. Fairies are smacked by iron head, and normals, sacred sword. I feel KS is unessasary, as switching out has near the same effect, as well as countering the threat at hand. This aegislash is like a Velociraptor, lashes out with the claws on it's feet (or a shadow ball) before finishing of with a quick attack.
Gyarados "The Lion"
@ Gyaradosite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Substitute
Gyarados is arguably the most underrated mega, along with Manetric and Aerodactyl. He is my favorite though, along with Kangaskhan (sob) and Lucario. This guy works wonders. Come in on an attack that is resisted set up a sub to ward away will-o-wisps, then kill everything. With mold breaker, becomes my check to Rotom-W. He also stops all the Trick shenanigans. If he can KO without evolving, great, as moxie makes his attack even harder to switch into. I see Gyarados as a Lion, he kills the big threats to the team, and lets the others clean up the remains.
Terrakion "The Ram"
@ Choice Band
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Zen Headbutt
I use a strange, albeit effective Terrakion. Terrakion is extremely powerful, hardly needing a description. I play Terrakion very hit-and-run, come in on Volcorona, get a stone edge off, and then run with tail between my legs, usually to Aegislash. He works as a late game cleaner, just have to be careful which move to lock him into. I feel choice band may be excessive, so choice scarf is an option. I see Terrakion as a ram, made to smash through walls and other pokemon if necessary.
Haxorus "The Eagle"
@ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Dragon Dance
- Aqua Tail
- Earthquake
Haxorus is my main set-up sweeper. I can bring him in once all fairies and steels are dead, and he will wreak havoc, Him especially has to watch out for burns, as they cripple him terribly. The moveset requires little explanation, it is made to smash through as many things as possible. I am considering switching outrage to dragon claw due to the crazy amounts of fairies frolicking around currently. I see Haxorus as predatory bird; waits patiently until an opportunity presents itself, then he start to wreak havoc.
Alakazam "The Human"
@ Focus Sash "The Honey Boo Boo"
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
Alakazam is my most underused poke, only used as a status absorber, which is rare. Deo-S is better at revenge killing, so Alakazam has no real niche. Any suggestions to replace Alakazam would be very appreciated. I find this poke to be redundant. The only Pokemon that Alakazam handles (not greatly at that) is Talonflame, thanks to the focus sash. Alakazam is like a human (?), as he is played intelligently, and he also kills endangered birds like Talonlame.
Threats:
Talonflame
Talonflame is incredibly annoying, especially if Alakazam's focus sash is broken. I have no real counter, outside of saccing a Poke. Gyarados can take 90%ish from a BB, and KO back. However, I need a better solution.
Klefki
Klefki spreads paralysis all day, which naturally cripples many of my team members, barring aegislash, but it dosent help him at all. Deo can fire punch, but it only does 40% or so. If he toosses out a careless swagger, Deo can 2HKO him, but otherwise he is a very annoying threat.
Scizor
With a SD, Scizor can rip through my team. Aegi Shadow ball does 80% or so, and then a Deo fire punch finishes it off. If he is packing bullet punch, Deo might not get that chance, and he will sweep. Haxorus can stop him as well, but only when he is less then 40%~ health.
Dark + Ghost types.
Ghosts and dark types only have one counter each, as the rest of the team is vulnerable to them. I can smack dark types with Terrakion's Close Combat, and ghost types with shadow ball from Aegislash. I do have alternative counters (Deo's Superpower, etc.) but they are generally less effective..If the 2 counters are healthy, you should be fine, but if one is dead or crippled, they can do a lot to this team.
Those are the worst threats I have encountered to the team.
Final Comments
This team is very strong if used correctly. This team is made to hit as hard as possible, as often as possible. I really need a suggestion to replace Kazam. I was thinking maybe AV conk as a tank, but sometimes tanks lose me momentum, and against better opponents, it is difficult to regain. Any suggestions/threats would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading this entire RMT, I realize it is somewhat lengthy. Just remember I am still a newer player, and therefore any and all advice is both welcome ( and needed )
