After reading the guides on this site, I feel that my team is inadequate, but seeing as how nobody was able to stand up to this team ingame (probably due to having 6 sweepers) I do not know what to change from my current setup. This is my first team since I broke my Gameboy 5 years ago, so no flaming please. My team was cobbled together with only one word in mind: Diversify. Each member of the team represents what I use them for except for Lucario, who I only use as a fighting type and not a Steel Type.
Ampharos
Item:None
Trait:Static
Nature:Hasty
EV's: None
Moves
1.Light Screen
2.Thunder
3. Thunderunch
4. Discharge
Being a Thunder type, it's no surprise that Ampharos is my counter to Water and Flying types. I chose him because I didn't have a Thunder type on my team and I wanted to get as many types as possible on my team.
Dragonite
Item:None
Trait:Inner Focus
Nature:Mild
EV's: None
Moves
1.Dragon Claw
2.Draco Meteor
3. Earthquake
4. Fire Punch
Dragonite is my trump card. Being Dragon type, he knows Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor for when I'm in a bind. Thunder and Aerial Ace are there to provide defense against the types that cause me the most trouble: Ice and Thunder.
Empoleon
Item:None
Trait:Torrent
Nature:Careful
EV's: None
Moves
1.Surf
2.Flash Cannon
3.Hyrdo Cannon
4.Blizzard
If Dragonite were to be said to be the king of my team, Empoleon would be the prince. I use himas my lead when I have no advantage over the enemy. His part Steel attribute makes most attacks not very effective. His Water type moves are, unsurprisingly, my counter to everything water kills. Flash Cannon is for the STAB against any unfortunate soul that is good against water. Blizzard because why not?
Lucario
Item:None
Trait:Inner Focus
Nature:Adamant
EV's: None
Moves
1.Aura Sphere
2.Dragon Pulse
3.Force Palm
4.Close Combat
Lucario is my Fighting type. His Steel attribute, like Empoleon, defends him against a great many attacks. Though he is steel, I didn't give him any steel moves simply because I haven't been able to obtain any.Aura Sphere in typical situations, but Close Combat for when I'm backed into a corner. Force Palm has been one of Lucario's move for a while now, and I haven't got a good replacement for it, so it stays.
Pidgeot
Item:None
Trait:Keen Eye
Nature:Quirky
EV's: None
Moves
1.Air Slash
2.Wing Attack
3.Quick Attack
4.Roost
Pidgeot is my flying type. He doesn't do much other than use flying attacks. His IV's are below average, and he can hardly slay Grass and Bug pokemon 20 levels below him. He's uselss and I intend on switching him for a Skarmory, but as of now, he is on my team.\
Typhlosion
Item:None
Trait:Blaze
Nature:Quiet
EV's: None
Moves
1.Swift
2.Eruption
3.Flamethrower
4.Lava Plume
Typhlosion is my counter to Grass and Bug types. He is one of the more powerful members of my team if only for his wicked Sp. Attack. He's a bit slow and that at times can get in the way of his Eruption, but hardly anyone survives a Flamethrower, much less an Eruption.
