Another Virus Thread

I'm going to ask not to be sanctioned for this one because it pertains to a specific virus which Spybot, AVG, and AdAware did not help with. Feel free to lock it and whatever, but at least wait for some replies :P

Okay, so basically, my little brother got some virus onto my computer by accepting a file from one of his friends without checking what it was. As near as I can tell, it's just a fucking nuisance, and sends itself to everyone on my contact list when I sign on. It's a huge fucking piss-off, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

The name of the file appears to be "myspace.exe". It randomly messages people with some dumb message and like "look at this picture" and then sends itself. I've looked it up and so far have not found a solution to my problem. If one of you would be so kind as to help me get rid of this shit, it would be much appreciated.

AVG has fucked me up before so I'd suggest trying Avast if you haven't already.
What happens when you try deleting the file? Also do AVG/Spybot/etc not detect anything at all or do they detect and "delete" it only to appear again?
There's not much else I can help with except tell you to beat the shit out of your little brother next time he does something like this. I'll leave the thread open since it's not really breaking any rules.

My little brother has fucked up this computer something serious, so it always displays like 40-something files of viruses, and every time I delete them they come back. I don't know if it was deleted and came back, but yeah. I'll try Avast... I guess.

Avast/Spybot/AVG/Ad-aware seems to pick up everything for me. Make sure you check the registry's Run key, in both HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and then search for the virus. Also check the process manager for anything suspicious then terminate it, and then search for it+remove if it's suspicious also.

Also, if the programs are written horribly enough, you can just stick a bogus exe file in place of the actual trojan. Look through your messenger's plugins (if you know how) and look for something suspicious and/or reinstall it. Also check your hosts file.

If you've tried that and it doesn't work, post back here and post some more specifics, as I've just spend the last couple of hours myself writing a virus for one of my computer teachers as he is a fucking cock and frequently leaves his laptop unattended.

I got this exact same virus too. AVG picks it up perfectly fine, but you have to update AVG because the virus has only been going around starting today, so yeah. AVG picked it up for me. Just remember to restart your computer after AVG deletes the trojans so they actually won't be there anymore.

Do you remember what the names of the Trojans were, Bologo?

Edit: Because my AVG found two files named w.exe somewhere, which it classified as Trojans.

Umm, well the virus was on my other comp, but I'll check my virus log when I can get back on to it. If I can check my scanning history on AVG, I'll get back to you.

I got this like 2 or 1 month ago, not too sure, luckily my firewall asks to start or block this program at start-up, so anytime i start my com i have to block it.

And yeah, it's really irritating, also, i get that message every like 1 hour from one of my contacts, who apparently contacted the virus as well.

Trojan horse SHeur.ZHA is the name that the trojan viruses held.

Basics, was one of the files something like lygg.exe? If so, I'm pretty sure that was the virus.

I have been told I should use Hijack this, but the instructions seem a little complicated, so I was looking for an easier solution, lol. One of my programs (or perhaps a combination) seems to have found the problem and taken care of it, though. Thanks for all your help, guys.
