Experience level: Hmm... Moderate for UU. Played OU during the Latias suspect test but my team failed. Not familar with OU and thats the one I want to learn the most.

A little about myself: Been playing for a long time however, my teams just suck in general. My team building skills are horrible to say the least; just need brushing up on them <_<I have a decentish win/loss ratio with my current UU team atleast. Enjoys using Luvdisc... :D

A little about myself: Been playing for about a year, but only got half decent recently. My skills aren't too bad, but I need some help with team building, especially in Ubers, where I need some SERIOUS help (I think I can hold my own after that, maybe). I'm a quick learner and easy to get along with, so teaching me should be a breeze. Been trying to get into the apprentice program for like, four months now, but I always seem to be a few hours too late.

I mostly stick to Smogon based-sets, and usually work with a Pokemon's biggest strengths, causing me to lose sight of alternative strategies. I got into competetive a bit on D/P launch and tried the WiFi, but I sucked hard. I found Smogon just recently and am polishing up my skills, making use of the incredible database; but would greatly benefit of the extra tutoring, as I am not making much success as of now.

Experience level: Decent, I've played Pokemon for a while but only looked at it competitively for about a year now.
Tiers I need help in (in order of preference): OU, UU, Uber. I'm Okay if we only get around to OU though.
A little about myself: I am known as Landotron. I've been trying for a while to get better at Pokemon. I'm already a lot better than most of my friends who play, but that's because I'm not bad at making predictions, most of the time. My Pokemon aren't usually that great, and so I kind of need help with actually choosing Pokemon in the first place. My style of play is typically offensive, but I like to have 1 or 2 support/stall Pokemon. My goal is to be the best I can be on the cartridge games, because having amazing Pokemon there and being able to use them well is a lot more impressive than doing so on a battle simulator that most of my Pokemon playing friends don't know about. Of course, Shoddy is the easiest way to test teams which is why I'm signing up for this program.

Also, if you could help me "fix" shoddy battle at my Mom's house that would make this a lot easier. I'm sure I just have something wrong somewhere, but whenever I go to Advanced -> Host: shoddybattle.smogon.com -> Port 50000, I get an error message saying "Error, no route to host: connect"

Official Battling 101 Tournament #7 - Round 1

I hope this has been a productive round for everyone so far. With everyone having had the chance to meet up with their tutors for a few pointers, it's time to kick of the latest Battling 101 tournament. 32 enter, but only 2 can claim places in the Hall Of Fame! Who will they be? Best of luck to all competitors!

Rules:
~ Evasion Clause enabled
~ Freeze Clause enabled
~ OHKO Clause enabled
~ Sleep Clause enabled
~ Species Clause enabled
~ Timed Battle enabled
~ Avoid scouting (scouting on purpose will result in a disqualification from the tournament)

~ Any Pokemon defined as "Uber" by Smogon is banned from the tournament (yes, this means Garchomp!)
