Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I have been actively playing competitive Pokémon battles on the Pokémon Showdown ladder, recently focusing on the Champions VGC format. I am familiar with core doubles mechanics like speed control, damage calculation benchmarks, and team composition synergies. I am looking for a tutor to help me refine my Best-of-3 adjustments, mid-game planning, and overall decision-making at a higher level.

Are you able to use Discord?: Yes, I have an active Discord account that I can use to communicate with my tutor.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started playing VGC on showdown and ladder in the last year of SwSh. I really prefer to use weird teams instead of using traditionally strong ones, for example i absolutely love using Mega Chimecho. My hope is to be able to compete on a level that allows me to place in Tournaments and actually have the confidence to go to one. I am willing to give up using my weird teams but i want to at least give them a shot before giving up,

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences):
I discovered Pokémon VGC around 2014 or 2015, although I don't remember the exact year. What I do remember is that I got into competitive Pokémon after watching the famous video of Pachirisu winning the World Championships.
I only started playing competitively more recently, through Pokémon Champions. I never actually owned a Nintendo Switch, but I've been dedicating a lot of time to VGC this year and have really been enjoying the competitive side of the game.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences):
I've been playing the game for about 10 years now, qualified for worlds twice and consistently place on the higher end of ladders when consistently playing (T300-T100).
I've taken a break from the game and am now attending a regional and want to rework on my fundamentals
Goals:
Just any advice, not exactly sure. Here to try and improve in anyway possible

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I have dabbled in both singles and VGC for years, I decided to get back into VGC in a more competitive sense with the release of Champions, I will be attending my first tournament in Brisbane this year and I am wanting to do well, I am hoping to learn the best way to use information gained in a battle throughout a series, get better at teambuilding (I am a HTR andy), and improve at the game overall. I have been grinding more than ever in the lead up to Brisbane in about a month, I am currently trying to break the 1600 barrier on showdown aiming to get into top 500 and currently Masterball 3 on Champions peaking around 8k last season. I am aware this is a new account for Smogon but my Showdown account has been active for years.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I first started playing VGC competitively in the re-run of reg H and have only entered online tournaments on Limitless. I plan on entering Toronto Regionals in April 2027. I struggle in teambuilding, and I love to use off-meta Pokemon but I am willing to use meta teams if it comes to that

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been interested in VGC for around 2 years. I've gotten to 1550 in the M-A PS! ladder (before i somehow fell to 1050), and gotten to Master Ball tier twice in Pokemon Champions. I'm trying to get more consistent at the game right now.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started playing in mid 2023 with Regulation C, I was a massive noob at the game and the first team I built on Pokémon Showdown was an Iron Thorns team. I got a lot more serious near the end of that year, I built a Quiver Dance Volcarona team in Reg E that I consider my best ever and still wish I had the paste for it. I took a slight step back during Reg F before going all in on the game in Reg G 1.0, which I consider to be to this day when I had my best play. I continued to play in Reg H 1.0 and Reg G 2.0, before taking a break for the rest of 2025 and the first two months of 2026 to focus on school and my personal life. I came back to VGC in March of this year, right before Champions dropped, my skill was quite lacking however I feel like as Champions has drawn on I’ve gotten better and better once again. I feel like tutoring would help me see the game in a broader light and make my play better, even though I’ve peaked at around 1400 on ladder lol.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been playing whatever OU is most recent since 2017, and have watched a lot of VGC. I've never actually played doubles myself for any length of time though, so adapting to it is the main thing I need help with. My favorite teams were always weather or dedicated trick room, and I love using Garchomp (my goat) in any build or style.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences):
So, was far more active wayy back in 2017 in the SM era. Always liked competitive, though I am mediocre at it. 2022 I returned with SV after ignoring Gen 8, and I think I was able to hold myself, though not particularly a stand out player. Now in the champions era, I wanna take it a bit more seriously.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I started playing champions on launch and hit masters in season 1. Been playing a little bit of VGC since about 2024 on showdown, but haven't went to any events or such like that. I know the basics, but nothing very advanced. Main goal is to get more comfortable with team building and finding out how to analyze win cons and how to play towards them. Other things is figuring out how to steer early, mid, and endgames smoothly as I feel inconsistent on that.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been a long time OU and Ubers ladder player, my best record being top 7 in the SV OU pre home ladder and top 1 in SV Ubers/AG, I don't play tournaments much, I consider myself half decent and recently got into Pokemon Champions, a game I really liked and would like to learn the VGC meta. I have no previous experience in VGC and I'm still learning the basic mechanics, in other words, I'm terrible at the metagame. I just hope that someone is willing to tutor me :)

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I played a load of VGC in Gen 6, getting back into it recently properly with Champions VGC with a similar metagame. I have touched on singles formats for years on various formats but took a break in gen 8/9 for competitive. I have a sense of reading but genuinely just need a bit of a push and guidance to get my game down a bit better. In the current ladder of Reg-MC the highest I kinda float around on good days is about 100 elo under the top 500 placement but want to break into that barrier. More consistency and planning in my games/leads would probably yield a better win rate depending on my team. I've never competed in person but taken part in numerous singles and doubles tournaments online winning a couple here and there as well as top cutting.

Apologies as I don't have 15 posts, I just kinda hang around threads and look here and there a majority of the time.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I’m primarily a singles player looking to learn more about VGC. I main the NDOU and LC formats. I’ve hit top 20k on champs, that’s my peak. I like the new additions of M-C and would love to participate in future tournaments. I’m still kind of new to doubles, I have the fundamentals down. I just need someone to help nitpick my plays and help me improve

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): Hi, i started playing vgc in reg C, with a really poor results, my best accomplishment is T64 at Bologna 24 and Stuttgart 26, but I am an inconsistent player; I struggle to stay consistent with my gameplay. I'd like to bring more consistency to my game, and I think this is a great opportunity. Also my goal is to win a Regional, and i'll commit myself at 100% to this. Thanks for reading!

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I always been on and off since XY, tried doubles during scarlet and violet reg F and never looked back since. Not much comp experience but i won a room tour once with a water spout kyogre/kingdra team I made for reg G to try and beat Calyrex, so I guess I must be pretty good. I know the general pokemon stuff but I don't know how to actually play the game and feel like I'd have more fun if I did. Plus if you tutor me you get a free homie.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences):
I've been occasionally interested in Smogon and VGC formats since DPPT, mostly through content creators but never really played myself apart from RanBats here and there. When Champions was released, I got invested in VGC and mostly got the basics down (though I ended up pretty much exclusively playing on SD). During M-A, I reached 1600 elo on the bo1 ladder using Froslass-Dnite teams, my rating was heavily fluctuating though. I remember falling all the way back to 1100 without even changing teams. In M-B, I mostly ironed out beginner knowledge check mistakes and started using Delphox-Floette balance which I got much more conistant results, with ratings bouncing around 1500-1650. While I'm happy with my progress, lately I felt like hitting a wall I can't seem to get past to on my own. I struggle to find consistant gameplans against many common teams, oftentimes repeating the same mistakes from not knowing any better. My primary goal is to get a more fundamental grasp of the game and how to execute gameplans with and against meta teams.
