Round 8: Close, but no KO (or banana for that matter)
Arcanite sends out Fuma, his last Pokemon. Thor starts the round with a Thunder Wave, hoping to paralyze his opponent and give his teammate an easy win. Fuma psychically attacks Thor and throws it against the counter, almost hitting Nurse Joy in the process. Jumping up, Thor rushes towards Fuma with electrically charged fists and gives it a punch full of thunder. As Fuma flies backwards through the air, it launches a powerful Hydro Pump, before going splat against a window. Knowing he won't last much longer, Thor eats his Oran Beery, and then erects a light screen to help take Fuma's special based attacks. No sooner than its up than he is hit by another psychic barrage. Chansey hops off of the counter where she was sitting, and runs towards Thor, powering up Heal Pulse as she goes. She slips on some of the leftover water from Hydro Pump and ends up hitting Fuma with the Heal Pulse instead. Nurse Joy inquries if Chansey is ok, and promptly recieves an egg in her face; the crowd goes wild.

Round 9: Electric Slide
Thor is getting tired from his long battle. He lashes out at Fuma with a Thunderpunch, this time sending fuma over Nurse Joy's head and into the giant screen TV. Nurse Joy comments that the power can only be from a critical hit. Fuma uses the time falling to use Cosmic Power. The Toxic damage finally catches up to Thor, and he faints. Kind-hearted Chansey runs up to Fuma and uses Heal Pulse. Lupus calls him back and realeases his last Pokemon, Hraesvelgr the Rufflet.

First, I want you to fire an ice beam, hopefully inhibiting his flight. Then, as he cannot counter his knockback, blast him away with a Hydro Pump. Then, try and freeze his wings some more with another ice beam!

Round 10: Final Brawl Begins!
Both competitors are now down to their final Pokemon. Arcanite's Fuma is already a bit tired from battling Thor. Its new opponent Hraesvelgr is fresh and ready for battle. Fuma starts things off by forming a light blue ball in its gem, but it can't fire off the Ice Beam! Paralysis finally strikes the little sea star. Hraesvelgr flies in with a Shadow Claw and knocks back the paralyzed star. As he's flying back for his second attack, a giant thrust of water smashes into him, but the hydro pump mostly bounces off the Light Screen. He comes in for a U-Turn. In his retreat, an Ice Beam hits his back. Again, the yellow glow of ligh screen absorbs most of the power. Pulling a beautiful arc in the air, talons of shadow strike again. but as they scrape across Fuma, its skin is shed! The ammused Chansey watches the battle while eating yet another egg of hers, but this time she shares it with Nurse Joy.

Round 11: Revenge of the RNG
The two opponents continue to duke it out, giving their all for their trainers. Fuma uses another Hydro Pump, but expecting that attack, Hraesvelgr does a corkscrew and dodges it, causing it to miss! He then comes in hard with Shadow Claw again. Furiated, Fuma launches an IceBeam, which shatters the Ligh Screen and nails the eagelet, who swoops in with Crushing talons. It hits so hard that Fuma's defense is lowered. Hraesvelgr flies around and comes in for another Shadow Claw, which hits, but not for long as he's washed away in a second attempted Hydro Pump from Fuma.

Now just for fun (and suspense) I'm continuing the post down here. (Sorry to be blunt, but that stupid Chansey decides who wins the match here) Which player does the RNG like more? Here's how I use it: for something to hit, or secondary effects to work, the number needs to be lower than the % chance x 100 (Hudro Pump has 80% accuracy so the RNG needs to read below 8000 when I take integers between 1 and 10000).

Round 12: Fall of the Eagle
Both Pokemon are growing tired from the match. The almost defeated Fuma takes a break to use Recover, but as it does that, Hraesvelgr uses another Crush Claw. Convinced that it has enough health to finish the match, Fuma then emmits an Ice Beam and recieves a second Crush Claw from the ice-covered eaglet. With almost no energy left, Fuma releases one last devestating Ice Beam, and the crowd watches as the proud eagle falls from the air and lands in the middle of the Pokemon Center.

Thanks guys. First match done! The arena and Chansey changed the outcome of the match imo, expecially near the end when Staryu got two Heal Pulses, letting it take on Rufflet with near full HP. Although that Egg Bomb was bad as well (two Brave Birds at the end instead of Crush Claws would have won for Lupus). Definately creative and I like it more than many other arenas that I've seen in the Battle Tower. Great battle though, the RNG made it very unpredictable.
