What an intense round that was! Both of our contestants have taken quite some damage! Fuma Shuriken's health and energy are above that of Mr. Bubbles, but the Staryu is afflicted with Taunt and two status conditions. How will this play out in this round?

Mr. Bubbles finds himself going first this time! He charges at FS with blistering speed, and his hands start to glow poisonously purple. Mr. Bubbles then leaps into the air and behind Fuma Shuriken, dealing several quick Poison Jab at the back of the starfish. The final jab sends Fuma a-flying 20 feet across the arena. The attack, unfortunately to the Toxicroak, seems to have lowered Fuma's confusion level, but Fuma is still dizzy and smashes into a rock as it tries to use Psychic on the Toxicroak.

Bang! Fuma Shuriken moves first this time. It has completely snapped out of confusion and zaps Mr. Bubble silly with a Thunderbolt emmiting from all five of its points. The poison is slowly starting to take its toll on it, though. Hang on a minute- poison! Mr. Bubble immediately gets an idea. He opens his mouth wide and rapidly spits out blobs of poison out in the air, which starts to rain on Fuma. The vemon severly shocks Fuma because its immune system is already failing due to the previous poisoning.

Fuma is still wincing from the venom, so Mr. Bubble moves first! He puffs up his chest and shows off his amazing arm muscles. Man, this boy has swagger! Fuma, being a starfish and whatnot, cannot even come close to aquiring such a body, which sends him in a rage and confuses him again. Luckily for it, though, Fuma manages to shrug it off and cover Mr. Bubbles in a Psychic aura before flinging him away. In addition, the poison from its body dissapears due to Natural Cure.

Lenneth seems giddy with the turn of events for the better.

"Ohoho! Mr. Bubbles, we have this is in our hands. Poison Jab, then surprise our opponent with one of your nasty Sucker Punches. That'll flush his tourney hopes down the drain... Raikou, here we come!"

Laharl sighes...

Both Pokemon have taken severe damage last round, and this match will probably end right here right now. Fuma Shuriken's confusion gives it a small disadvantage, but has a slightly higher HP in return. This first speed tie could determine the entire match. Mr. Bubble and Fuma Shuriken eyeball each other, each trying to psych the other one out, each determining when to move first, and each trying to predict what the other will do.

This staring contest has gone on for an entire minute. Beads of sweat start to drop down Mr. Bubble's face as he pants for air. Fuma Shuriken's points start to drop and weep, but neither one still moves. Until...

Bam! Fuma Shuriken breaks the tie and starts off! Despite all of the confusion and dizziness going on its head, it concentrates all of its remaining energy and shocks Mr. Bubble with its Psychic prowness, picking up the boxer and slamming him into the ground and onto the walls several times, over and over again! The repeated blows nearly knock Mr. Bubbles unconcious. However, Fuma Shuriken has been using Psychic for far too long. It loses the concentration, and this is where the boxing frog makes his counter-attack. Despite being near death, despite having a torn leg muscle, he makes his arms glow purple at dashes at Fuma with amazing speed. Mr. Bubble poisonously jabs his arms into Fuma repeatedly, in fact, he jabs them so fast that we need to use the slow-mo video camera again to fully see what was going on. Whoah, one of those jabs were extremely powerful. Could this be a critical hit? That jab knocks FS away, but also snaps him out of confusion.

At this point, both Pokemon's health are so low that any attack from the other one could knock them. Who will win this match and advance to round 2? Mr. Bubbles pants heavily and wheezes a lot by this point. He is starting to become an old Toxicroak, and that point is starting to show up in this match. Perhaps he will retire after this match? No, not until the tournament is finally over for him. Fuma Shuriken is still better off, but that isn't saying much. Its points are now dark-brown and shriveled up. If Staryus could sweat and pant, then Fuma Shuriken would do so right now.

Fuma Shuriken has come a long way to get here. For years it has dreamed of one day becoming as strong- no, stronger- than the Gyarados, Milotic and Tentacruel it lived with before it met Arcanite. That is its one and only dream. It cannot lose so soon. Therefore, Fuma calms down and starts to concentrate for another Psychic attack. Mr. Bubbles won't take the risk of the speed tie, and instead feigns weakness- he is obviously aiming for a Sucker Punch. If that Sucker Punch does enough damage to knock Fuma out, then it is Mr. Bubble's day. If not, then it is a one-way trip to the hospital for him. Who shall win?

Fuma suddenly makes a movement, indicating that its Psychic attack is ready. Mr. Bubbles is also ready. Despite his low health, he charges straight at Fuma Shuriken and Sucker Punches it right into the ground, creating a small dust cloud.

Oh look, the dust has settled! Well, its obvious who the winner is now. Good game to both contestants!

Lenneth and Laharl stare tensely as the smoke clears.

Limewire: "And the winner is... Mr. Bubbles and his trainers!"

"Yes, yes, yes! We won, brother! Or should I say: I WON, ohoho."

"I-it was destined, sister our Pokemon were much stronger."

Laharl says this as confidently as he can, not letting the excitement and honest surprise seep into his words.

"Still a good game to you, Mr. "Arcanite". May we meet again under some less pungent circumstances."

"Yeah. Ciao, loser!!"

Laharl merely sighs as his sister smirks proudly and they both exit the arena for the tournament's lounge...
