Arceus

Yeah, in the vein of Dragontamer's comment, my brother and his friends are 9-10 years old. Most of the people I know who play Pokemon IRL are < 12, lol.

As for me personally, yeah I have $25, but $35 for the game itself is enough money I want to spend on Pokemon. And to be honest if I were going to shell out $25 to buy an AR, I'd just hack the Pokes plain and simple.

Fast egg hatch? and then trade??? Why bother? It's not like instant hatch gets rid of all the boring aspects of breeding - what about that randomness? That's no fun. The only ostensible reason I'd want an AR would be to concentrate on WiFi battling (but why? There's Shoddy) – but then I see no need to bother myself waiting for that random "perfect" baby to pop out. As you say, "simple economics" – I'd want to get the most out of my shiny new AR! With the power of AR, I'd just hack myself some "reasonable" Pokemon and eliminate the need for trading altogether.

Anyway, this is getting too off-topic. I remain fairly convinced that the majority of Pokemon purchasers do not have an AR and thus do not have access to Arceus, that an unspoken ban on Arceus would thus be speaking on their behalf rather than from a Smogon point of view, and that is that!
