Akela's Team:

Smeargle [Frederick Ulysses Christopher Kruger Young Oswald Unger] [M]
235.png

Naive Nature (+15% Speed, +9% Accuracy, -1 SpD)
Type: Normal
Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.
Egg Group: Field
Abilities:
Own Tempo (Passive): This Pokemon moves at its own pace and when confused, it will never harm itself in confusion. If the Pokemon also has Tangled Feet, it will raise Accuracy by one (1) Stage.
Technician (Passive): This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their one-hit or two-hit attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power on each hit multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, Double Hit to from 4 per hit to 6 per hit etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects. Technician only applies to combos in the rare case that an initial hit will have 6 or less BAP.
Moody (Passive): This Pokemon's feelings are always fluctuating, and its mood at any given time greatly influences how it can act from one round to the next. In addition to its general nature, this Pokemon displays a burst of emotional power each round that shares characteristics with other natures, affecting the Pokemon's Ranks directly. At the end of each round the Pokemon changes its Moody nature (roll out of 25 R1 and out of 24 in subsequent rounds), a nature that has the regular drawbacks of a nature but enhances that nature's strengths.

Quiet Nature (+1 SpA, -15% Speed, -10% Evasion)
Type: Water/Rock
Water STAB; Can breathe and have excellent mobility when underwater, are less capable on land unless they are entirely amphibious.
Rock STAB; reduce damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.
Egg Group: Water 1/Water 3
Abilities:
Solid Rock (Passive): This Pokemon’s body is extremely solid and durable, and the Base Attack Power of incoming super-effective attacks is reduced by two (2).
Sturdy (Passive): This Pokemon’s body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.
Swift Swim (Passive): The Pokemon with this ability moves extremely fast in slick, rainy conditions, doubling (x2) its Speed in the rain.

<Flareon> [Bridget] (Female)

Nature: Rash (+ Sp.Attack, - Sp.Def)

Type: Fire

Fire STAB; immune to burn, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.

About: Even as a Flareon, Bridget is extremely innocent and curious, she has an extreme amount of respect (Even if rarely shown) towards the rest of the team and sees Chuck as her ''super-cool older brother'', despite being extremely worried about him. She chose to become a Flareon after being lost in the woods and seeing Twilight and Tara fight off a gang of water types, their passion for fighting and protecting those that need making Bridget realise what she wanted.

Flash Fire (Passive): This Pokemon thrives in high temperatures, and takes the energy of any opposing fire attack, nullifies the damage, and uses the additional power to boost its own fire attack’s Base Attack Power by two (2). Self-targeted attacks do not give the boost.

Guts (DW UNLOCKED, Passive): This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.

<Sigilyph> [Ezekiel] (Male)
Nature: Modest (+Sp.Attack, -Attack)

Type: Psychic / Flying
Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

About: A random Sigilyph caught at some ruins, he prefers to be called ''Zeke''. Ezekiel loves history and is always ready to learn more. Despite his confidence in his fighting abilites, Zeke really hates show-offs, and will not hesitate to attack whoever annoys him by being a dick.

ABILITIES
Wonder Skin (Passive): The Pokemon's skin has an agent that heaviliy resists attempts to change its composition. It changes the accuracy of all non-damaging attacks to 50% before applying any other modifiers.
Magic Guard (Passive):This Pokemon is infused with a powerful psycho-electric energy that makes it immune to damage from Spikes, Stealth Rock, Hail, Sandstorm, Leech Seed, Poisoning, and Burn. It can still attack itself in confusion, but will not take any damage from it. Additionally, the energy protects the Pokemon from its own reckless recoil attacks. Toxic still increases in damage each round, although if Magic Guard is in effect the Pokemon will not suffer any damage. Life Orb recoil is not negated.
Tinted Lens (DW UNLOCKED, Passive): When this Pokemon uses an attack that is normally not very effective, that attack is calculated at the next highest resisrance modifier. (e.g. 4x resistance is calculated at 2x, 2x resistance becomes neutral).

I enjoy your enthusiasm

Sigilyph: Skill Swap (Carracosta. Wonder Skin for Solid Rock) -> Hidden Power (Carracosta) -> Energy Ball (Carracosta)

If Carracosta is under the effects of a protective/evasive action when you would attack it, use Hidden Power (Smeargle) that action and push-back.
If Carracosta uses Bide, change A3 to Cosmic Power

Flareon: Hidden Power (Carracosta) -> Reflect -> Hidden Power (Carracosta)

If Reflect is Imprisoned, use Charm (Carracosta) that action
If Hidden Power is Imprisoned when you would use it, use Fire Blast (Smeargle) A3.

OK, class. Let's all put down our paintbrushes and start this battle.

Sigilyph starts off by doing a bit of a texture swap with Carracosta, with Carracosta now doing much smoother strokes of the brush and Sigilyph doing more jagged, rough strokes. Smeargle decides to make a painting of its own, and the result is very similar to what Sigilyph made. Flareon taps into its inner artist and lets out a flurry many greens onto the canvas and Carracosta. Viridian, celadon, kingfisher, jade, it's beautiful! Carracosta decides to do something a bit more archaic, and makes a bit of a cave painting. Fitting, considering that was modern art back when Carracosta were originally around. So simple, yet it tells a great story, both me and Flareon are in awe at the painting!

Sigilyph then lets out its own inner color palette, composed mostly of oranges and browns. Beige, chartreuse, burnt sienna, even a rich mahogany! Carracosta seems to be getting covered in paint by both of Mate's Pokemon, but I'm just in awe at the palettes of these two! Smeargle decides to try its hand at making a cave painting like Carracosta's and I'd say it turned out pretty well. Flareon decides to take a short break from its painting, and gets out a new canvas, a large one in front of both it and Sigilyph. A fresh canvas is always appreciated, giving so many possibilities for new art to arise! Carracosta decides that it wasn't comfortable with what its cave painting had become, and decided to destroy it and the wall it was drawn on. Fragments of the wall ended up hitting Flareon and Sigilyph, yet it still made an imprint on the new canvas. A broken canvas is never a problem, in fact, it sometimes causes inspiration!

Sigilyph decides to draw something a bit more natural, a landscape filled with so much life! However, it didn't enjoy how it turned out, and crumpled up its canvas and threw it at Carracosta. Smeargle, having spent plenty of time painting its masterpieces today, is quite tired, and let out a massive yawn, causing a bit of drowsiness in Sigilyph. Flareon let out a few more shades of green. Teal, jungle, olive, shamrock. Carracosta decided to do a watercolor with some very rough strokes, a nice thought, but very difficult in application. Nevertheless, Flareon enjoyed the painting and a bit of the paint splashed over onto the giant canvas.

Thats.....really generous, happy one.

Bridget: Swift -> Superpower (Smeargle) -> Hyperpower (Superpower Combo, Smeargle)

Ezekiel: Energy Ball (Carracosta) -> Hidden Power (Smeargle) -> Hidden Power (Smeargle)

Our next class opens with Carracosta doing a speed watercolor. It's a bit sloppy but it's enough for Flareon. Sigilyph gives its landscapes another try, this time a wonderful meadow. Still uncomfortable with its work, it throws it at Carracosta, who falls so in love with it, it faints. Smeargle tries its hand at another cave painting, which works out well enough. Flareon decides to do a bit of lighting up, which us artsy types don't mind. The smoke, however, becomes so unbearable that Smeargle begins to see stars.

Sigilyph decides to show a few more shades of brown, a bit brighter with a copper, bronze, and a smidge of rust. Smeargle decides on one last bit of inspiration, and comes up with this gloomy night sky. It then throws its mixture at Sigilyph and Flareon, turning them into art themselves. Flareon does a much larger piece, draining its stamina by quite a bit. Smeargle gets a bit caught up in the hustle and bustle of Flareon's painting, taking a firm swat from its tail-brush.

Sigilyph decides on a couple more shades of brown, from a rich coffee, to a dark chocolate, to a lighter chestnut, and even a bright wheat. Smeargle, in its desperation, begins to on an etch-a-sketch. Unhappy with its rushed work, it shakes it and ends up hitting Flareon in the face. Flareon is too pre-occupied with its painting, and kicks it into overdrive, knocking Smeargle
