Is Future Sight damage blockable? I know it ignores Protect and Endure, but what about Double Team? Substitute? Light Screen (yes I know this is a reduction not a block)? Anything else?
Magic Guard is the only thing that, to my knowledge, will block Future Sight.

The move Spider Web needs some clarification. When used, does it immediately catch the target in the webs and prevent contact moves? It is clear that once caught, contact moves cannot be used at all for 6 actions, but there needs to be further clarification on the "getting caught in the webs" portion.

Geodude6 Does that count as an official ruling on the move? 'cause that's what's confusing people every time I try to use it (Which is surprisingly often).

The problem with this move is the wording at the beginning:
The user spins a web in its general vicinity that it can set up between environmental objects, including the ground. If its opponent is close, they risk getting caught in the web immediately. A Pokemon stuck in the web will be unable to use moves that make contact for six (6) actions, though they are free to attempt to cut the web with an attack. Opposing Bug-type Pokemon are stuck in the web for only three (3) actions, while spider-like Pokemon can navigate across the web freely. Multiple webs can be strewn together. Fire-type attacks will burn down the webbing. In switch battles, the sticky web prevents the opponent from switching out that Pokemon in between rounds for the duration of the entrapment.

It implies flavor of "being close" and then it also says "they risk getting caught" which implies a chance that it will not happen. That's where the clarification is needed.

So, does Moonlight heal 35 HP in strong sunlight?

The description says it does in strong MOONLIGHT, so I'd really love if someone could answer if it works differently as it does in-game.

No. It heals 20,000,000 HP in strong sunlight. And no, this cannot be changed. Yes, this was asked previously. No, it did not go well.

20kk hp for 16 en? Seems like a bargain.
And sorry, I asked because I didn't find it with the search feature. And the last time I saw a discussion about it I don't recall an agreement because there is no form of summoning strong moon light (which is kinda dumb).

Can we stop being annoying pricks responding to a question?

There is no easier way to lose respect than to answer a question with an inflammatory response.

That is all.

My apologies. My behavior has no excuse. There is no way to summon Moonlight in ASB besides via an arena effect indicating such. Therefore, sunlight is assumed to function identically to moonlight (without getting into the technicality that moonlight IS sunlight reflecting off of the moon's surface) in the majority of cases. The description will remain referencing moonlight for situations like RPs that indicate a distinct difference between sunlight and moonlight for their individual effects.

Thank you very much.

If two opposing Pokemon both use U-Turn on the same action, how does the next round go? Who sends out first, the one who ordered first or second? Similarly, who orders first?

this is going to sound... really stupid, but could someone link me to the ASB registration forum? i cant find it anywhere... :(

How the flying heck does Illusion interact with both an opponent's chance subs, and a user's chance subs?

Relevant IRC Stuff;

14:12:10 ~ <phoenix> mostly trying to figure out whether
14:12:25 ~ <phoenix> i can disguise an aurumoth as something with 100 hp
14:12:46 ~ <phoenix> and sub for IF (you have more than 100 hp) THEN (use actual actions)

So I have a question regarding protean @_@.

What do you think about Protean's type changing mechanics for D/E moves?

Does the pokemon change type before the evasive part of the move or before the attack part of the move.

Frosty and me think that it should be the Evasive part of the move, as the move's energy signature is used to determine the split needed for the evasive part and the damaging part. But I would like us to get a consensus on this if possible.

Quoting Frosty's Response:
Frosty said:
I would say it changes type on the evasive part. It was ruled that STAB reduces the energy already on the evasive part of a D/E move (so it is considered a move as far as stab is concerned), and there is an old ruling that considers D/E attacking move even if suspended. So I am considering that the evasive part, by itself, is a damaging action, therefore activates protean, even if there is no actual damage due to it.

The Pokemon would transform when evading, as far as I'm concerned.

When does substitutions check happen for Attack Clauses? Are these checks made regularly during the course of the round? Please mention it in terms of The 'Effect Timing' section of the Handbook.

Afa I can understand, the checks should happen corresponding to the effect timing, and shouldn't be repeated even if the event that triggered the substitution in the first place is altered during the course of the round.

But it is not the case, so I would like to know exactly when do the checks happen and when do these checks create loops?

Like Looping Statements only occur if the same check is made again during the course of the round. So for that to occur, there must be some sort of recheck made at the end of an action / round to see if all attack substitutions behaved in the way that they were supposed to? When is this check made as per the 'Effect Timing' section of the handbook?
