I'm not sure myself. Something about the trade doing something to whatever they do to prevent the egg from producing a shiny. I'll have to find this, it was said on the Serebiiforums.
If I remember correctly, it has to do with trainer IDs.
But it's definitely possible, as I knew someone who got a shiny Manaphy that way.
What's a good IV calc other than Metalkid's? Metalkid's is down right now.

In Platinum, if you run from Giratina in the Torn World, can you still catch him in his normal location? And if so, are its IVs still SRable later in the game, or do they become locked when you first meet it.
I've heard that you can, but I've also heard that you can't. I'd like to SR Giratina if anyone ever cracks the Platinum RNG, but I'd also like to be able to play my game in the meantime :(

Select a different pokemon, select Gliscor again, and you should be able to pick a 4th move.

If someone has one, they will probably want to make their own tourney and not just give their ideas to you. Your best option is think about it yourself to make it unique.
Perhaps selecting your moves in a different order?
I've run into the same problem and deselect-reselect has always worked. You could try finishing up the team normally and saving it to try again. Also be sure that you don't have a 4th move selected by accident.
