I have a problem. I caught Giratina in the distortion world before I knew about RNG. If I release my giratina, can I see it in turnback cave again to rng abuse it?

Because you can get outrageously high Pokeblock levels in RSE multiplayer Berry Blending, it is possible to max out all the contest attributes.
You can also make some insane Poffins, so a 4th gen Pokemon with max contst stats is also possible. Recipe here if anyone's interested. I've tested it, it does work.

Hi guys, recently my platinum has been freezing during battles (about once/day). It really didnt happen like that before... Is my game file corrupted?

Also, sometimes when I soft reset, the "continue" option disappears (happened twice), but appears again when I reset the game (but the save file becomes corrupted for some strange reason once). What might be the problem? And what might be possible solutions?

Thanks.

Thats a very strange problem, but i dont have a solution, sorry....
I reccomend backing up your more valuable pokes before something bad happens to your game... trade them over to an alternate version?

Am I correct in thinking only the level 50 event Shaymin are compatible with the Gracedia flower? I've been hearing alot of conflicting views on whats compatable with what here.

Only the TRU event shaymin is compatible with the Gracedia flower
No, all Shaymin are compatible with the flower. However, only certain Shaymin can trigger the event to get the Flower, I believe. Both the TRU/Japanese Movie 11 Shaymin and the Japanese Platinum Flower Paradise Shaymin (this one I can verify through my own testing) are capable of activating the vent of getting the flower.

After looking at the state of the tiers and the horrible state of the borderline tier i would like to know how exactly the tiers are made.. Are they based on who actually uses them or are they based on some other reason i cant seem to understand? somehow alot of those pokemon that are in nn/uu should be atleast stat wise in borderline..

First a question

If I use Sucker Punch and my opponent uses Focus Punch, will Sucker Punch fail?

And now an answer

They are based solely on usage. This idea that "statwise this Pokemon should be in Borderline" is a terrible method to create tiers, which was demonstrated quite well with old UU.

OU is the standard tier. If something is used in at least 1 in every 20 battles, it's considered OU. Anything below this point is UU. However, if it seems that something is too strong for OU, it's put into the Ubers list, which is a list of Pokemon that are banned from play in OU. Similar is done with UU. If something is decided to be too powerful for the UU tier, through the Suspect Test process, it will be put into BL, which is a list of Pokemon which are banned from the UU tier. Pokemon that are considered BL can't be used in UU due to being banned from it, but can still be used in UU.

From there, then we go down to NU. This is decided in the same way as the break between OU and UU is: if something is used in at least one in every 20 battles in the UU tier, it's considered UU. However, if a Pokemon is used less than that in UU, it's considered NU.

Actually, DP Flower Paradise Shaymins can't become Skymin. Then again, those aren't supposed to exist.

ok then so if everyone and their grandma starts using delcatty it will be an ou pokemon then? that really seems like a fail way to determine a pokemon's tier.. but if thats true why arent there more pokemon in the uber class?

oh and sucker punch will not fail.

Actually, any Shaymin can become Skymin, as long as it's in a Platinum game card. Skymin doesn't exist in D/P, but the flower will still cause a D/P Skymin to change forms if it's traded over to Platinum.

EDIT:

Because Uber isn't a usage Tier, it's a banlist. And it's actually a very good way to tier Pokemon in a competitive environment. As an example, say you have two pokemon who do essentially the same thing, but one of the two is clearly better at it. If you're playing to win, you use the better Pokemon, and the other one falls off the OU list.

Besides, the Tiers aren't meant to be a guide to what Pokemon are good, just a guide to which Pokemon are used most often.

Depends on which turn is used. It will hit the first turn focus punch is executed (the charging period) and Sucker Punch will probably be able to hit the turn it attack.

Um. Focus Punch is a one-turn attack. It charges at the beginning of the turn, before anything else happens, and then the attack itself happens later that same turn, at -3 priority. If the user of FP is hit during the turn, it flinches. Move Priority

Nope. I've gotten a DP Shaymin from the GTS and the flower doesn't work on it. I just double-checked as I was typing this. And it's daytime.

I was thinking of a moveset for a pokemon im breeding and i began to think if it could baton pass skill swap to another pokemon in my team.. Is this possible? i dont think it is but i figured id ask anyway just to be safe.

To anyone who is actually good, what advice would you give to someone who doesn't suck but really isn't any good and wants to improve.

Notes by "don't suck" I mean CRE that ranges from 1520 to 1540 but only because I keep hacking at it. However I generally get owned pretty bad when I play people who are actually "good." I need advice.

Have better thorough understanding of the synergy of your team. List the potential threats to the team. Fill in the weakness gap(s). Study the common sets of Pokemons of certain tiers and usage.

In a match, list out possibility of the move the opponent would use. Think into their mind. Take note of Pokemons the opponent has sent out. On the offensive, plan out what they'll try to do defensively. Vice versa. Take precaution in using Choice items, as they always leave an opening for the counterattack for the opponent.

You most likely just need to focus more on the match and make stronger synergy of a team before playing. Perhaps make more than one team to switch over to when you've been facing the same opponent(s) for a few times. Pokemon has always been the game of predictions. Some are just clearer or less.

Hope you'll get some ideas.

No you can't pass skill swap through baton pass.

This is what I mean by comflicting reports..

I think we've confirmed that trading it from D/P doesnt work with the Gracedia, which is highly lame, but will the flower paradise one from Platinum English language games actually trigger the woman to actually give you the flower?

I really don't want to buy platinum and have it not work.

I'm 99% sure that you need the event shaymin in order for the flower to work.
