If intimidate lowers attack one stage, and dragon dance increases by one;
if a gyarados has dragon danced then gets intimidated is its attack back to its original value?

Yep, you got it right, it works that way.

Have (all?) Pokecharms trainer cards been taken down? Or is it just my connection? (I get 404's from clicking card links recently.)

What's the name of the item 'Beautiful skin' in the US version?
It's Shed Shell, not shed skin like someone else said.

Anyway my question: how do you put seals on our pokeballs? When I select the seal case it only tells me how many I have.

characteristics, my friend, you need to learn all the 31 pt Characteristics :o from there, you are shooting in the dark if the parents can pass down more than 1 31, it was a predicament that i was encountering when breeding my tangelas.

both parents, *male tangela and ditto* had several 31's. The tangela had 31's in Def, Sp.def and Speed. the impish ditto had 31's in Attack, Defense, and Sp.Def.

When soft resetting on a tangela with the right nature from the evostone, i made sure that it had 6 sp.def at birth, instead of 5, meaning that it had at least a 20 IV, then if it had a characteristic like "Likes to thrash about" (31 Att) or "Capable of taking hits" (31 Def) instead of "Somewhat Vain" (31 Sp.Def) I knew almost 70% for certain that it had inherited at least the Sp.Defense and either the attack or the defense. I just kept on doing that till I had a repetoire of well IV'd Tangela.

http://guides.pldh.net/iv.shtml for a guide to the characteristics, *note: just because it "can" be 31 doesn't necessarily mean it IS 31, it could as easily mean that the highest stat is 26. same with the 30, it could be 25 :o, that being said, if you know for certain the parents' IVs, it can be quite simple to determine the child's IVs.

Oh, you might ask why I didn't use the father Tangela with triple 31's? It's HP IV was 2. -_-;

And that, was not a very simple answer at all.

thanks, I know the characteristics, just not everything you said

Hm... Another day-care question.

When your Pokemon is EV trained, but at a very low level, can you use the day-care to level it up without gaining any more EV's, and the stats in the end will still be the same if you Rare-candied it to death or day-care'd it?

Day care doesn't give EVs.

Normally if it's EV trained, wouldn't it have max EVs already and wouldn't gain anymore anyway?

And yeah, you can level up your EV trained pokemon using daycare, and it'd be the same as if you rare candied it in the end

EV Question:
If my lead pokemon has a Macho Brace, and battles an Aggron it will gain 6 Defense EVs. If I have a pokemon in my party with EXP. Share, will that pokemon also gain 6 Def EVs or only 3 Def EVs.

So Macho Brace only applies to the pokemon that is holding it, and doesnt give extra EVs to pokemon with Exp. Share?

If the HP of the Pokémon are below 1/3 of its maximum HP, then the base damage of all its Grass-type attacks (be they physical or special) is multiplied by 1.5 (a 50% increase).
