Can a Tank Starmie work? 85 base in both defenses, Cosmic Power, Recover, decent speed to pull off at least one Cosmic Power before it's attacked, OK typing, and the ability to boltbeam seems like it would make a fine tank =/

Maybe it's just me. I mean, is it the low base HP? Noir has base 45 and still works, and it doesn't even get Cosmic Power =/

Cosmic Power isn't that hot of an idea imo due to stat ups like that rarely working. Starmie with a defensive spread is the closest to a tank starmie imo; it has decent durability. You can take it a step further and add Reflect/Light Screen.

Hmm, so...

Starmie @ Light Clay
Bold | 252 HP, 136 Sp.Def, 122 Def
Recover
Light Screen
Reflect
Surf

lol.

Okay, on the WiFi thread I've heard a lot of "ok, I'm cloning it" and "oh! clone that one!" How DO you clone?

Cloning can be accomplished with the GTS. When you offer up the Pokemon a little clock-like image appears in the text box. By turning the game off just as the hand on the clock moves for the last time before the Pokemon is offered the game loads from the last save spot. You still have it in your party and on the GTS. Just take the Pokemon back then. Did that make enough sense?

Does anyone know how Return works on PBR?

If I have a Pokemon with 0 happiness is Return low base power, or does it matter?

I thought it was 75%?

Where can I find the guide to why certain Pokemon are threats?

and also,

can how else can I get a Manaphy besides getting the egg from a ranger. Is there any way to breed for another one?

Para halves your speed.

trading or Ranger is the only way to get Manaphy.

For CB Slaking, why do people suggest using Shadow Claw and not Night Slash? Is there some advantage to Shadow Claw that I'm not seeing? I'd rather not use up my Shadow Claw TM, so to breed Night Slash onto Slaking is easier for me than breeding Shadow Claw, so is there some big advantage I'm not seeing, or is it okay for me to use Night Slash?

THis is likely going to sound like an idiotic question. Now with that preface:

I am training an almost totally awesome IV larvitar that I just got:
(non bred)

IV:
Hp: 29
Atk: 31
Def: 26-27
SpA: 27
SpD: 26
Spd: 31

I am trying to to get the EV balance to match the one shown here as a `Choice band` Tyranitar and I was wondering when I train it with the exp. share, are the Evs from say a lvl 29 bibarel split with the pokemon that I am using to KO the bibarel? so for example:

Bibarel gives 2 HP evs (I think)
`Bibarel fainted!
Spooky gained 132 experience!
Larvitar gained 132 experience!

does larvitar only get 1 EV? or do both get 2 EVs or does larvitar get none? any help on this would greatly appreciated before I go and mess up a pretty awesome larvitar.

EVs aren't split.

And Bibarel is Attack...

Edit: By that I mean they will both get EVs as if they had killed the Bibarel on their own.

Should I keep this Uxie or soft reset another one?

Uxie - #480 (Jolly)
HP: 8 - 9
Att: 18 - 19
Def: 30 - 31
SpA: 14 - 15
SpD: 31
Speed: 8 - 9

BAd nature and terrible HP IVs, but near perfect defences. well?

lol uxie

Anyways, why aren't you using the Synchronize trick? Get an Impish or Bold Abra in front of your party and catch it with that. 50% chance of that nature.

Have a bold abra and using the trick with him at the moment. it was one of the times i didnt get a bold one, i'm only considering using this one because of the great IVs on both defences.

Thanks for the info on the EVs thing, and I should have remembered that bibarel was attack. Before writing the post I had just looked it up on Serebii. Must be the weather in Japan getting to me, I can`t stand it here some times.
