Okay, I have an explosion question too... It halves the opponents defense, making it 500 bp, but as quoted from Mekkah, it "doesn't stop everyone else from attacking anymore." Just wanna clarify, does this mean they can still attack if they DON'T get KO'd?

@Neji- Yes.

How do you calculate the reduced damage of an attack during a sandstorm? Can you just reduce the original damage by a certain percent?

It all works in levels or stages. Bumping up a stat by one level multiplies it by 1.5, the second level multiplies it by 2, the third by 2.5, the fourth by 3, the fifth by 3.5, and the sixth by 4. Download would increase Sp.Attack by one level/stage from 0, putting it at 1. Nasty Plot would increase it by two more, putting you on the third "level" so your original Sp.Attack would be multiplied by 2.5.

Thank you. So I was at the right number, 810+202.5=1012.5, 405x2.5=1012.5

im wondering if this is a hacked pokemon or not:
garchomp lvl 50 (shiny)
jolly nature
29,30 hp
31 atk
28,29 def
22,23 sp atk
26,27 sp def
23,24 speed
ability: sand veil
was recieved from day-care couple onn April 30, 2007 on rout 204

i want to know because if i use him in battle i don't want to be accused of hacking.

"I didn't hack this poké and there's no proof or signs that it's hacked. Is it hacked?"
Simple answer: If you hacked it, yes. If you got it from someone else, I doubt they would decide to hack it without straight 31s, so it likely isn't.

lPlan my first team to be this:

Physical Arcanine
DD Gyarados
Togekiss
Rapid Spin Donphan
Special Wall Bronzong
Special Lucario OR Mixed Infernape (no Electrivire access)

But I need a set for Togekiss. Which set would be best?

The Arcanine will be the star of my team. I'm considering a set with Wish to heal her, seeing as Flare Blitz might sting a bit. Iss mostly sweeping. I can't decide between Lucario and Infernape, so there is no definite special sweeper yet.

Also, this may sound stupid, but where are you planning on battling the most? Here, or at another site? People on other sites can be extremely stupid in battles. Instead of switching out against my Mixape, they keep whatever pokemon they have in and attack. Since I'm normally Nasty Plot'ing, predicting a switch, they end up hurting Infernape a lot more than I want. Of course, they get KO'd the next turn, but it's still annoying.

I'll battle mostly on Smogon (though I may occasionaly fight GameFAQs people).

I plan to battle here.

Sure, why not? (Although it's extraordinarily unlikely that I'll use it against Garchomp or Gyarados).

308 speed lets him outspeed Jolly Ninjask, which is pretty much the fastest thing in the speed tiers right now that is actually plausable. (Who runs 252, +spd nature, CS Gengar?)

Also, if you plan to battle here on Smogon, I'd say go with Infernape over Lucario, as people here are more likely to know what kind of damage Infernape can do, and will be more predictable than newbs on GameFAQ's IMO.

If you want Wish support, go something like:

-Air Slash
-Wish
-Baton Pass
-Nasty Plot

This way, you can BP a Nasty Plot and Wish to either Lucario or Mixape (whoever you choose), and give Wish support to the rest of your team. Look in the analysis for the EV spread and stuff.

How many Speed EVs are necessary for a Lonely Choice Scarf Infernape to outspeed everything?

I'd go with 304 Speed to outrun Choice Garchomp and everything below. I don't know its minimum Speed, but I'm estimating it is around 252 making it about 208 EVs.

Just wondering, how is this possible? I was in a double battle and I had gallade and porygonZ out. My opponent had out rhyperior and nidoqueen. My porygonZ used ice beam on nidoqueen, and then rhyperior killed it with rock wrecker before gallade went. This seems really weird, as gallade was also EV trained in speed, and rhyperior obviously didn't have a quick claw...
(And then his claydol gets a double quick claw activation and explodes...)
