There's a thing to watch out for, though. "Mischievous" does not necessarily mean a 31 IV in Special Attack. It means that the Pokemon's highest IV is in Special Attack and it's either 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26 or 31. So a Pokemon with these IVs:

HP: 12
Attack: 9
Defense: 14
Special Attack: 16
Special Defense: 6
Speed: 15

will still have "mischievous" as a characteristic.

According to Metalkids stat calculator my Weavile should have 2 more speed that what it currently has. Does this mean I messed up it's EV's?

Yeah but if one of the parents has a 31 IV in special attack, and the kid's says "mischievous", you can basically rest assured the kids inherited it's parents 31 IV in special attack.

It helps people know whether the good stats have been passed onto the kids, basically.

@CasMat: about dusknoir, even with max HP/sD (294/405 I think) draco meteor does min 66.6% dmg, which means it would 2hko even after the -2 drop, lefties could save you but it would be really close, no hope in a sandstorm or if stealth rock´s in play...so you´d have to protect next turn or something (at least you would cut the PPs of draco meteor to 4/8 ), then pain split and ice punch...dusknoir can take the other specs hits relatively well, dragon pulse does around 50%, but meteor really messes it up

the characteristics are not a sure thing, as already been stated they only tell you the highest IV and even if both parents have a flawless IV in one stat it doesn´t 100% mean the baby will have it (though quite possible), the characteristic helps you find the IVs faster...

@link-san: he didn´t change the characteristics list, there are 2 charas which simply don´t exist (I mean they have different names in english), in the meantime (til he fixes it), try to IV calc without the chara addition and you´ll get your results

I was using the stat calculator, which doesn't have the characteristics input. I used the IV calculator which told me i had a 31 IB in Speed (Alert to Sounds).
After EV training, i input my weaviles IV and EVs into the stat calculator for level 39. It was I should have 152 Speed, yet my Weavile has 150 Speed.

that can only mean you didn´t count the number of EVs your weavile got during training correctly...

save and then check the speed IV again by using some -speed berries (tamato), the first one will bring your EVs to 100 (if you´re over 100), the others will take of 10 EVs...

calc your speed IV again, if 31 is correct, soft-reset and try to use grepa, hondew, qualot and pomeg berries to check if you didn´t accidentally give it other EVs...if not, maybe you didn´t give it enough EVs, so go battle more....

if even this doesn´t work then there is no more room for EVs - means you already EV trained it with at least 259 EVs on other stats (252 speed is not possible) so you´d have to use those berries and train again

OK i currently have the following 4 pokemon for my team.

Blissey (Special Sponge)
Metagross (Physical Attacker)
Electivire (Physical Attacker)
Manaphy (Special Attacker)

So my simple questions are.
Do i need another Special Attacker and a Physical Sponge
and if yes what would be the best bets to use

Thnx BloodGhoul

Yes, Judgement's type changes according to the held Plate. It just won't get STAB from Smeargle.

How often does Quick Claw let you go first? Can it work when using a move that "goes last"?

What is the probability of Focus Band activating?

If smeargle holds a Plate, does the type of its Judgement change?

Except Judgment cannot be Sketched. Sketch fails against Judgment.

@Sinistro: Focus Band has a 10% chance of activating, IIRC. Quick Claw has a 25% chance of activating, but no, it does not work with go-last moves.

Item clause...

I'm using CB, Lefties, and Expert belt on three pokemon, nad I still need items. Any suggestions for

-Gliscor (Yache berry?)
-Starmie (Choice specs / Wise Glasses?)
-Gyarados (Shell bell?)

is there a way to tell if a pokemon you recieve in a trade is hacked? i'm a bit supecious about a few pokemon i got (mostly a hp ice raikou), and would like to find out if they were hacked or not.

I'm thinking Life orb on Starmie. Recover + three attacks.

But Gyarados really has me stumped. Shell bell is all I can think of.

Check the data of the Pokemon for red flags, like the wrong encounter location or level caught.

I use the 1/2 damage Berries for Gyarados. I like Wacan for Electric.

@General Tso: Water them, ALOT. Around 10 times at start, and every time they get dry if you want a lot. This is just what I do, though.

Does the Synchronizer trick work in FR/LG on the running legendaries(Entei, Raikou, Suicune)?

If no, I'll have to resort to trading, or worse, playing through Colosseum again. shudder..
