Is there a reason everyone uses linoones or will any pick-uper do?
I'm guessing the reason for this is that people already had their LV91-100 Linoones from the Advance Era. They're the most common and easy-to-obtain Pickuppers then, while being excellent HM users.

So when D/P came out, Pal Park allowed people to migrate and re-use their old Linoones for another go.

In contrast, Pachirisu are much more frail and don't make good HM slaves. Aipom/Ambipom and Munchlax (while useful in battle) are rare in comparison. Teddiursa, Donphan and Meowth aren't available until National Dex.

speaking of trainers card, somebody knows why the records of battles in the back of the trainers card is erased sometimes?

i have 1 lose (i give in by error) then it dissapear, then i battle two guys and i win the two matches, but right know i dont have any battles in the trainerd card, anyone with this prblm?

I'm guessing you didn't save afterwards. Call it dumb on Nintendo/Gamefreak's part, but the game only autosaves after a trade, not after a battle.

so i walk into the dinning area of the old chateau to do some ev training. my character stopped, and i saw a old man walk from the center of the room, left, and off screen. anyone know what thats all about?

i never saw that one, but i do see a girl upstairs

I HAVE A QUESTION: How does Reckless work???

Exactly how do reflect and light screen cut the other person's damage? Does it half the damage, the attack stat of the attacker, or raise the defense of the attacked poke?

Those are just common horror movie scenes. If you went "WHO'S THERE!?" when your character paused, then the game developers succeeded in the effect they are trying to achieve.

Oh yeah, Reckless boosts the damage of recoil moves (to the opponent) by 20%.

I'm currently thinking about a really defensive metagross. here it is:
metagross @ leftovers
Bbility: clear body
Nature: careful
EVs: 236 HP / 30 atk / 16 def / 228 spDef
Moveset:
~Toxic
~Meteor Mash
~stealth rock
~explosion

the EVs will get you (assuming you got 31 IVs) 360 Hp, 300 in both Defences, and 313 Attack. I put this many EVs in the HP / defences because I like the numbers, and the Attack points were leftovers. my question is: does this work?

Fighterman X, I can't say if it will or won't work... you should just try it and see if it does work. Although that set may work better on Bronzong (minus Meteor Mash) since Bronzong can eliminate its ground or fire weakness and has better defensive stats.

If I go by X-Act and Peterko's new Complete D/P Damage Formula thread (http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25175) it's part of the damage multiplier formula, so I'm guessing it cuts damage rather than manipulate any stats.

This is what I did.

used a Misdrevious level 28 male with Pain Split, breed it with a Female dusclops. The Duskull had Pain Split. I then found a "Careful" Ditto. I gave it Everstone to hold. Put the Male Duskull that hatched from the egg, with the Ditto holding everstone. Then I got the egg, and it hatched into a "Naive" or something like that Duskull not a "Careful" one. I did it multiple times, and I didnt get a Careful one.

Im pretty sure I did everything right. Or am I supposed to use a female pokemon? ._.

I'm sure it's just a string of bad luck. It's still 50%.

Oh yeah, covering all bases just in case, Everstone only works that way in Emerald and D/P... and doesn't work in R/S/FR/LG.

Are suicune's ivs and nature set once you start the game or does it change everytime you catch it?

also, does the box trick work or not?
