What's the third member of Palmers team the second time? I'm about to fight him again, but I'm having a brain lapse. It's Heatran, Cresselia and .......?

I need a replacement Boltbeamer. I got yelled at quite a bit when I used Lati@s at the Gamestop tournament (ubers banned, but Lati@s spared) and again when I used it on my friend (though I argue that an L80 Starmie would have been even more unfair than a L70 Soul Dew Latios). I have Starmie. Should I go with Porygon-Z or Lapars as a second, or is there someone else that i have overlooked?

Personally, I'd go with porygonZ, hasty-nature, and, honestly, download. While though 2x stab is nice, if you swap it in as a revenge-kill onto something you know has high-def, you suddenly have yourself an even more potent bolt-beamer.

So to get Download...do I have to breed a Porygon in D/P or do I just have to send a regular Porygon2 from Pal Park and hope that it switches abilities? Porygon-Z doesn't have Trace, so is there a 50/50 chance that I'll get Download or Adaptibility, and is that already coded in or can I restart repeatedly to get the right ability? I find D/P to be slow compared to R/S/E, I'd rather EV train there instead.

Do status attacks of a type that would be super effective (hypnosis vs a fighting type, for example) have a greater chance of landing? Or does super effective only double damage dealt?

Also, what is the minimum duration for sleep?

Super-effective only effects damage, never accuracy.

Second question: the mimimum number of turns that they are guaranteed not to wake up is 1. If you go first and put them to sleep, they lose their turn to sleep, and that 1 guaranteed sleep-turn is up. If you sleep them after they've moved, they'll be totally slept 100% the next turn. That being said, whilethough it is rather rare, if you sleep them before they move, they CAN wake up on the very next turn.

If you got it (as a porygon) from RSE, I'm pretty dang sure it will have download when it evolves.

I remember reading somewhere that sleep duration is determined when you fall asleep, and it ranges from 1-7 turns. However freeze has a 10% chance to unfreeze every turn.

Someone correct me if that's wrong.

This is NOT guaranteed.

That is correct, though I'm not sure about the sleep duration. And I don't think anyone has conclusively tested the 10% chance to unfreeze...

I seem to recall someone posting about a Focus Sash Endeavoring Ratatta once. Can someone direct me to this topic and tell me its viability?

Fear:

Endeavor
Quick Attack

Pretty simple. Endeavor first turn. Quick attack 2nd. You're guarenteed a KO. A gimmick at best IMO as it simply turns the battle into a 5v5 instead of a 6v6...

Ok, for a Physical Attacking/Walling Swampert, what moveset would work better? I'm currently at Waterfall/EQ/Stone Edge/Hammer Arm, and Hammer Arm isn't doing jack :|

Should I replace it with Roar, Stealth Rock or Avalanche? It has a 212HP/240Def/56Atk EV Spread if that matters at all.

Question; Does Tyraniboah still have any use in today's metagame?

Historically, Tyraniboah was created to stop all the stalling Pokemon back in the ADV generation. T-Bolt for Suicune and Skarmory; Crunch (Now Dark Pulse) for STAB and for neutral damage against sp. defense lacking tanks; Substitute and Focus Punch stop Blissey. Substitute also worked to protect Tyraniboah from statuses that would work against its Leftovers.

Dark Pulse and Focus Punch have a place against Cresselia and Blissey, but isn't the regular Physical sets with the improved Physical movepool of Tyranitar able to handle them too? Crunch and Earthquake take big chunks out of Blissey and Cresselia alike.

Is the reliance on 95 Special Attack instead of a massive 134 Attack to counter threats worth it to be able to take out common tanks, or is it better left to be handled by other more capable Pokemon?

Unless your opponent brings in Sandstream, sets up Substitute, statuses you, etc., in which case it becomes 6v5. A smart player will expect this gimmick set when they see Ratatta in a place where it doesn't belong, which is anywhere.

Or they can just switch to a ghost and the whole plan goes down the tubes lol.

How much does the moves/berries increase the stat when it's says 1 stage.

Example.

Primeape has 70 Speed, Salac berry activates, How much is it's speed now ?
