The EV lowering berries only lower EVs right? Or does it lower something else?

They just lower the corresponding EV, and raise the pokémon happiness level.

Ditto question: I know that a Japanese Ditto with an everstone won't pass the nature when breeding with an English pokémon, but... Does the same happen with other languages? Example: Would a Spanish Ditto with an everstone be able to pass the nature when breeding with an English pokémon?

This is very important, I'd really appreciate if someone could answer it.

iirc, the Dittos need to be from the same language, so you would need two Spanish pokemon or two English pokemon breeding together for it to work.

From Part II of the Breeding Guide:
If you breed in DP, it is possible that Everstone won´t work. This happens if you breed two Pokémon that originate from different language versions, for example an English Emerald Ditto with a Japanese Diamond Chimchar.

Yeah, I read that, but since the breeding guide was written before the European D/P came out, I thought it could be an issue of just the Japanese version respect to the western versions. Anyway, I'm going to receive soon a jolly non-Spanish Ditto, so I'll be able to test it myself.

2 Questions:

1. What is so special about Jibaku's Jirachi, Plust's Chancey, and Dystro's Jolteon and why does so many people have it?

2. What would be a good MS/spread for an Adamant Swarm Scizor?

They have awesome IVs

2. What would be a good MS/spread for an Adamant Swarm Scizor?

What do you wanna use it for I personally prefer technician but oh well... Do you plan on using it as a BPer, a Sweeper, a Wall(not too sure about this but I think Scizor can pull it off)

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: U-Turn
move 2: Iron Head
move 3: Pursuit
move 4: Aerial Ace
item: Choice Scarf

ability: Swarm
nature: Adamant
EVs: 252atk/28def/228spd

this is the standard CScarf Sweeper for Scizor never tried it myself as I usually use a Dance-Sweeper

I know, I'm just asking. Maybe I'll Baton Pass SPD and use a CBand Scizor instead...

EDIT: Sorry, one more question:
Can I an Adamant Ninjask work as an efficient Baton Passer? If so, what EV spread should I give it?

prefer Jolly on Ninjask

You should use something like this:

Ninjask@Leftovers/Berry that ups Atk/Spd
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 HP
-Swords Dance
-Baton Pass
-Substitute
-X-Scissor

best set for Jask IMO I actually went 6-0 with this a couple of times

No, IMO this sucks, go with this:

SD/x-scissors/BP/protect

Protect and SD, give it a focus sash. With Sub you'll be dead and can't even BP Speed after SR is in.

you'll usually get only 3 speed boosts with that set first turn protect then SD FS saves you then Protect again then BP. But FS guarantees you an SD unlike that Sub set, really based on opinion you could even run sub+protect Jask I have seen it happened although Taunt rapes the living daylight out of you

Well, I'd like to add a set too.

252 SPD 252 anything (HP?)
Jolly
Liechi or Petaya or something berry
Sub
Protect
Baton Pass
Swords Dance

Taunt screws it over, sub allows it to pass subs to ensure a safe switch aswell, protect gives extra boosts, SD for some more attack and just sub down to 1 percent for the liechi if you didnt SD enough.

In pokemon XD do you have to save after beating greevil(it says if you don't save it will take you back to your previos saving point...)?

1. Does switching a pokemon out and killing the enemy with another pokemon give the first pokemon EVs?

For example, I encounter a Bidoof and start with Scyther. I switch out the Scyther and bring in a Turtwig and kill the Bidoof. Does the Scyther get EVs too?

I really want to make sure I have a good IV spread for a Scyther, and I want to make sure that the EVs are correct.
