Resource Ask a simple question get a simple answer: RU edition

if you were to run a baton pass togetic with Nasty Plot what other moves would you run? Specifically if you plan to pass to yanmega?
 
Roost so that it can pass more than once and check a couple of things in between its role as a passer and a fire move (Flamethrower / Fire Blast) to donk Escavalier and Registeel seeing as how they can still be annoying to Yanmega if they're healthy.

Roost and Flamethrower, with EV's 248 HP / 76 Def / 20 SpA / 164 Spe. This makes Togetic as bulky as possible on the Physcical side, whilst being able to OHKO Escavalier and Doublade at +2. The Speed EV's allow you to outspeed Jellicent and Baton Pass before it Taunts you. Also, if you're passing to Yanmega, use Speed Boost Life Orb, to prevent it from being revenge killed.
 
So I just want to say that I reached 2050~ coil and I will say right now Yanmega ban(real reasoning in real thread while 2400 coil obviously)...Zoroark is like 50/50 right now

but I have to say I will miss this green mothafucka if it gets banned :( It grew on me since it turned a 5-0 into a 0-1 for me, safed my butt from sub bulk up braviary with bug buzz hitting through subs, simply spamming Uturn with disguised Zoroark...it is easy to use and strong. My main core is Yanmega Sandslash.


Relevant if Yanmega gets enough votes for ban. RU doesn't stand for Rarely Used. It stands for Really United, really united with the Pokemon you used in the ladder (‘ー’*)ゞ
 
Ok so I got my COIL up to 2406, and my GXE is 69 on the alt STAHP THE HAX. Is that all I need for suspect reqs? Also, is Assault Vest Gallade viable or not and why or why not?

Yes and yes. Molk will post a thread before the suspect ends for people to post a screenshot to prove they've gotten the reqs. As for the Gallade question, while it is viable, it's not that good. It's certainly got a good movepool including Drain Punch, Zen Headbutt/Psycho Cut, Knock Off, Leaf Blade, Ice Punch, Stone Edge etc and good Special Defense, it's got relatively low HP and very pitiful defense, and it is weak to a lot of special attackers such as Moltres (can hit with hurricane), Delphox (can hit hard with psyshock), and Yanmega (air slash).

Gallade also prefers to use its stat boosting moves or Substitute (which are better sets) and AV takes that away.

You will want to take a screen shot of having 2400 coil and proof that STAHP THE HAX is your account, so like a screen shot of your name in the top right. Also as far as if AV Gallade is viable or not, it can work because it gets a good move pool and STAB recovery through drain punch. But bulk up or SD are so much better on it, so its really up to you.

I would also like to add that since your COIL is 2406, aka fairly close to 2400, you should screenshot your COIL as soon as possible, since COIL (I can confirm it does in LC at least) decays.

Second rewrite the OP to reflect this; a copy and paste job of an outdated module is not good enough. Third, edit the title to reflect this.

With these steps this thread will add value to the forum with its discussion points.

IIRC that thread was closed because the metagame was new, 3 months have passed I think the meta is settled down and after the Yanmega and Zoro bans we will have a more balanced meta.

EDIT: After reading the one we had EonX said that it would be best to wait till June or July:

I love Next Best Thing threads as it gives us the ability to discover new sets we may not think of otherwise. (that's where Sub + 3 Attacks Gallade started in BW actually) However, not only is XY RU not even 6 weeks old, it isn't even official yet. At the very least, I think this needs to wait until the tier goes official in June, but even then, I think it would be better to wait until at least July or August to have a month or two of usage stats after RU goes official. Maybe I'm just a little crazy, but I feel this needs to wait until at least June, but preferably (imo) until July or August.

We are in August so imo it would be awesome to have one after the Yanmega / Zoro bans
