The mod data for Platinum is in CVS so check that out and load it via the server.patch directive in your server.properties.

To get the rest of the new improvements you need to rebuild your server jar from the source code, which is also in CVS. It's an undocumented procedure but if you know how to use Netbeans it shouldn't be too difficult...

Could you explain a little better? I'm a little confused.

is there a place where the record menu can be explained i just dont understand what they actually mean and if my rating is actually good or not.

I'm trying to make my own ShoddyBattle server, but I wanted to edit the .db files. What program would I use to do that, and where could I (Legally) download it?

ALSO: What does "The Path to the JDK cannot be empty" mean?

Why when i want download shoddy battle a .jnlp files is download not an .exe

PS: Sorry for my english but it's not my primeral language :)

@Dante66: That's because it just isn't a .exe file... It's made in Java. I'm not sure why... But that's the file you're supposed to download. :D

Alright... I just did a system update on my Mac, and I needed to install the latest version of Java, (which I cannot remember which version that was...) and I restarted my computer like it said to. But when I go to open up Shoddy, it seems to work fine until I get into a game, because at that point the screen is so elongated that I cant see the moves... or the switch to Pokemon.. or even the chat box for that matter.

When I used to run shoody, it would open up normally, but now... it runs off of a program called: com.sun.javaws.Main

Please help!!

A quick question, hopefully simple: What's the standard for using IVs on Smoddy? Is it just assumed that everyone uses 31s in everything? If not, is there a standard list somewhere?

Thanks. :)

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but how do you get your name on the list of people searching for an unrated battle? Or is it done automatically, and only other people can see it?

The default IV's in the teambuilder are 31 in every stat, though they're often changed for Hidden Power and to maximize the power of Gyro Ball.

Well, Shoddy has been acting up lately for me, guys. When I sign on to the Smogon server under "Fierce Deity", it fully opens up without any mishaps. But then it'd take several minutes for what my cursor is hovering over to light up - my laptop wasn't even loading at the time, either.

This also happens during battles, and has cost me several ladder matches, resulting in the drop of my rating.

Any ideas how to fix this dilemna? Please and thanks.

Not sure where to ask this, but I've noticed that Shoddybattle's IV spreads for catch-only pokemon to be set up according to legal possibilities, that is, they only allow certain spreads. I've been wondering if it's an accurate setup, and how far does it go? i.e. does it reliably work on event-obtained pokemon? And so will it work as an IV checker for pokemon I have? Because I've tried inputing some pokemon IVs from certain trades I've gotten from these boards (Out of curiosity really) and they're noted as invalid. Is that a surefire way of knowing that they're not legit?

Thanks.

Trouble on mac

hello
Whenever i go into a battle the battle window opens up really stretched vertically and shrunk horizontally this make it impossible to battle, I can't seem to resize the window as i'm on a mac and the resize button is off screen and can't be reached, any suggestions??
Thanks Tom

Hey all. It's pretty obvious that I am extremely new here, and I'm a bit overwhelmed by that Shoddy Battle thing. I really want to download it but when I choose to save it to a file it always says that that particular file is corrupted or something. I'm not really good with computers and I'm sure that this question has been asked dozens of times but I don't see a thread with my specific question.

I have a mac running Leopard and using the latest Java update and my battle windows are fine. A few people have been reporting this so there is likely a problem somewhere

It sounds like you don't have Java installed on your computer

I think that i do have Java installed though...Is it just that my computer is bad? It's a Windows but I'm sure that there are many hidden firewalls and stuff like that because it's the family computer.

EDIT: And when I try to download it it says that it is in a unknown format or a damaged file. I'm trying to download it with something called firefox.exe if that helps at all, I am also trying it with jnlp_auto_file (default).

Is there something wrong with Sitrus Berry on Shoddy? According to the itemdex here on smogon, it should activate when Drifblim (the Pokemon I'm using it on) reaches 50% HP, but for some reason it rarely ever activates until Drifblim dies. It has 440 HP so it should activate after two Subs, but even if I Sub three times it won't activate.

I don't have a screenshot at the moment, but I'll edit if I can get one.

Alright, I just tried to download it on cnet, it downloads fine but when I click "open" it says I must be logged in as an administrator when installing this program...

Do I have to disconnect firewall to make it work?
'Cause I want to download it but I'm not sure if it will work.
And it is my family computer so it does have firewall.

EDIT: Nevermind, already downloaded it.

OK I'm creating a shoddy battle server, and I'm at the point when you need to port forward. I've been getting problems, because at portforward.com when I enter the IP into the browers it says "The server at 192.168.0.1 is taking too long to respond". Any thoughts? I need help.
