PU Assault Vest Eelektross: QC (1/1) GP (1/1)

185721

Eelektross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet / Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Giga Drain
- Flamethrower
- Drain Punch / Knock Off / Thunderbolt

Eelektross is a potent pivot in the PU metagame thanks to its fantastic coverage, access to STAB Volt Switch, and its ability, Levitate, which removes its weakness to Ground-type moves. Those qualities, along with its good bulk, allow Eelektross to check the likes of Froslass and Swanna. Volt Switch is useful for getting out of unfavorable matchups against Pokemon like Type: Null and Assault Vest Hitmonchan. Its great movepool, including Giga Drain, Drain Punch, and Flamethrower, allows Eelektross to circumvent Pokemon like Guzzlord, Victreebel, and Mudsdale, which resist or are immune to Volt Switch. Volt Switch also allows Eelektross to provide momentum and get teammates such as Stoutland in safely. Eelektross's coverage can force switches, so make sure to pair it up with hazard setters such as Regirock or Ferroseed. Eelektross does not appreciate being worn down by status, so Gurdurr is a great option that can take advantage of status thanks to Guts and can sponge physical hits.

Eelektross is a potent pivot in the PU metagame thanks to its fantastic coverage, access to a STAB volt switch, and its sole ability, Levitate, giving it an immunity to ground types.(and no weaknesses) That along with its good bulk allows it to check the likes of Froslass and Swanna. Volt Switch is most useful for getting out of unfavorable matchups such as Type: Null and Assault Vest Hitmonchan. The great movepool it has including Giga Drain, Drain Punch, and Flamethrower gives Eelektross reliable options against Guzzlord, Victreebel, and Mudsdale, which take little to no damage from Volt Switch. (and who block volt switch in the latters case) Volt switch also allows it to provide slow momentum for teammates that would like to be switched in safely, such as Stoutland. It’s coverage can force switches, so make sure to pair it up with hazard setters such as Regirock and Roselia. (mention ferroseed > roselia) Eelektross does not appreciate being worn down, so it should be paired with Wish users such as Audino, which also provides Heal Bell that helps with its vulnerability to Toxic. (i wouldn't really pair it with audino on many teams, maybe mention gurdurr who can take advantage of toxic thanks to guts or another pokemon who can pivot into mons like simisear/guzzlord who wear down eel overtime)
