REFEREE

I send out Typhon and Jormungandr, despite the fact the OP says one. I assume that is a copypasta error.

EDIT: Sorry. Typhon has Water Absorb and Jormungandr has Swift Swim.

HEY
HO
LET'S GO

Abilities are Frisk (9.9) and Blaze.

Bella, don't you get the feeling you've seen one of these guys before? Anyway, start off by paralysing Lapras with Thunder Wave, then hitting him with a Thunderbolt. On the second action ONLY, use Mirror Coat if Lapras tries a special attack on you. Finish off by using Thunder Wave on Magikarp if he isn't in the air, Psyshocking Lapras if he is.

Vulcan, this is a little easier. Head Smash - Arm Thrust - Head Smash.

Well I think we can assume that Vulcan is only going to target Lapras. Also, I suspect Bella is trying to forget that match iiMKUltra.

Well, if they are going to just spam moves at Lapras, then I'm sure we can do the same thing. To begin with, Magikarp can Bounce above the rest of the field, and come down on Vulcan after Typhon has moved. At the same time, Typhon can Surf all around the whole lake, drenching everyone and hopefully boosted by infinite rain. Try to land away from the red gyarados though, because the last thing we need is a stray Thunderbolt hitting it.

Next, Jormungandr should let off some powerful Bubbles towards Vulcan, and this time Lapras can let off one of his powerful Hydro Pumps, again at Vulcan in an attempt to blow him away from you, because those Arm Thrusts sting.

Finally, we can finish off with just a bit more of the same. Jormungandr, I want you to just use your superior speed to get between Vulcan and Typhon and take the Head Smash for Typhon. Typhon, you can repay the brave Jormungandr by letting off another Hydro Pump at Vulcan and not hitting him with Surf.

The rain stopped.

Arena Effects:
  • Permanent and unstoppable rain is present on all days of the week except Wednesday, based upon the day when the referee performs his duties.
Action 1:

A bright and slightly sunny day is the setting for this Pokemon battle at the Lake of Rage! The red Gyarados is currently sleeping somewhere in the middle of the lake, and everything else about the lake appears fairly calm for the moment. Both players send out their Pokemon, nod to each other, and the battle that will shake up the scenery commences!

Jormungandr, the fastest of the Pokemon, leads off the round with his attack. He flops in a pathetic way on the water, but somehow bounds up far out of the lake and into the air! Jormundgandr used Bounce!

Note: Vulcan wins the Speed tie.

Vulcan then begins his assault! However, it appears that his trainer hasn't actually specified which Pokemon to attack, so he's a bit confused. (1/3% chance to attack any other Pokemon) Not knowing any better, he turns to Belladonna and tries to smash his skull into her! Fortunately for Belladonna, Vulcan's attack drives just forward of her position and misses! Vulcan used Head Smash! Vulcan's attack missed!

Belladonna, shaken up by the idiocy of her partner, stares down the now-bewildered Lapras and throws a shallow electric jolt at it! Lapras's muscles start locking up from the attack, clearly indicating a severe paralysis! Belladonna used Thunder Wave! Typhon was paralyzed!

The now paralyzed Lapras looks up from after suffering the attack and manages the muscle control to swim around the lake a little bit! The kicked up wave from the movement creates a huge splash that crashes onto the shore and hits both Belladonna and Vulcan! Typhon used Surf! Belladonna takes 15 damage! It's super effective! Vulcan takes 24 damage!

Action 2:

Everyone seems to have forgotten about Jormungandr, but just as they do, it comes flying down from the sky and hits Vulcan at full force! Jormundgandr used Bounce! It's super effective! Vulcan takes 14 damage!

Note: Vulcan wins the Speed tie.

Vulcan, now struck by the flying attack, frustratingly attempts a return attack at what creature just hit him. He thrusts his arms forward repeatedly to hit that blasted fish for some serious hurt! Vulcan used Arm Thrust! Jormundgandr takes 16 damage! It hit 5 time(s)!

Belladonna, not to be outdone, turns toward Lapras and lashes out with yet another Electric-type attack, this time a vicious Thunderbolt! Belladonna used Thunderbolt! It's super effective! Typhon takes 17 damage!

Finally, the paralyzed Lapras starts up again. It manages to get going and then opens its mouth toward Vulcan! A huge jet of water erupts from Lapras's maw, and it strikes Vulcan true! Typhon used Hydro Pump! It's super effective! Vulcan takes 27 damage!

Action 3:

Jormundgandr leads this round by flopping around on the shoreline a bit and trying to stay right in front of Vulcan so that he doesn't get distracted and attack anything else. Otherwise, he doesn't really do anything at all! Jormundgandr used Splash! But nothing happened!

((Note, I used Splash because it sounded cool in this situation. It didn't cost any energy as it both didn't do anything and wasn't actually issued by the trainer.))

Note: Vulcan wins the Speed tie.

Vulcan, still pissed off at this ugly fish thing, charges at it head-on. This time, the smashing of its skull into a blunt object succeeds, and Jormundgandr takes a serious hit! The attack, while powerful, doesn't fling Jormundgandr because it's still in the water! It maintains its position between Vulcan and Lapras adamantly per its master's command! Vulcan used Head Smash! Jormundgandr takes 18 damage! Vulcan is hurt by recoil. Vulcan takes 9 damage!

Belladonna attempts to take its action, but due to too many move substitutions per Pokemon per round is very confused and has no idea what to do based on what her master told her! Belladonna froze in confusion and couldn't move!

Lapras, still reeling from all the Electric-type hits, musters is strength once more and gets its muscles going through paralysis! It opens its wide mouth once more and lets loose one more geyser of water at Vulcan! Unfortunately, Jormundgandr positioned itself right inbetween Lapras and Vulcan, so the attack actually hits Jormundgandr instead! Typhon used Hydro Pump! It's not very effective... Jormundgandr takes 14 damage!

The Hydro Pump is powerful enough and Magikarp as a species so light that it sends Jormundgandr flying over Vulcan's head and into a bush on land!

Lol that round. That was hilarious. Anyway, this looks like it will work so long as we don't keep attacking each other. We'll start off with the tried-and-true combination of Typhon using Surf while Jormungandr uses Bounce against Vulcan when it comes down, or against Belladonna if Vulcan is out. Then, Jormungandr can use Bubble on Vulcan and Typhon can use Surf for as long as Vulcan is in the ring. Once it faints, Typhon should start pegging Belladonna with Hydro Pumps and Jormungandr can continue using Bubble on Belladonna for as long as it can stay conscious.

;_;

I don't think I'll be forgetting that again.

Vulcan, Head Smash-Arm Thrust-Head Smash on LAPRAS.

Bella, TWave Magikrap any opportunity you get. Alternate Thunderbolt-Psyshock on Lapras when you aren't able to or already have done so.

Arena Effects:
  • Permanent and unstoppable rain is present on all days of the week except Wednesday, based upon the day when the referee performs his duties.
Action 1:

A rain cloud forms over the lake that seems to be impenetrable even to the light above. A drizzle begins at first, but soon the rain becomes torrential and the wins immense. Trees begin whipping about in the wind as the Pokemon, now drenched in the rain, stare down each other for another round... Oh, and Jormungandr tries to look awesome from inside a bush.

...Despite failing to look super awesome Jormungandr takes in the rain and feels rejuvenated and surprisingly agile! It flops its way out of the bush and bobs on the ground a couple of times before bouncing far up into the sky again. Vulcan tries to follow it with his eyes, but can't see it as it's up in a thundercloud now. (50% chance to get struck by Thundershock at the end of each turn while in the cloud) Jormungandr used Bounce!

Note: Belladonna wins the Speed tie.

Belladonna, noting that Jormungandr is out of reach of an attack, turns her gaze to the paralyzed Lapras in the water and throws a nasty Thunderbolt its way! The electricity carries across the water perfectly because of the conductive nature of both being in water and it raining! Clearly this attack hit exceptionally hard, because Lapras reeled in a particularly hurt way afterward! Belladonna used Thunderbolt! It's super effective! A critical hit! Typhon takes 22 damage!

Vulcan, now raring up for an attack, turns toward Typhon with a vicious stare and begins a charge. He charges straight into shallow water, and when the water turns slightly deeper, he makes a leap at Typhon with all of his might, head forward! Unfortunately, Vulcan completely misaligned his jump and dove straight into the water behind Typhon instead and vanishes below! Woops! Vulcan used Head Smash! Vulcan's attack missed!

Lapras, finally getting going, begins surfing about in an attempt to whip up a major wave! The water gathers, and then Typhon cuts it and watches as the wave heads toward the shore and Belladonna! Strangely, Typhon can't seem to find Vulcan anywhere? Where could he be? Lapras used Surf!

Amazingly, as the wave moves toward the shore, Lapras notices an orange shape atop the wave. It's Vulcan, and he's riding the wave like a true pro! By literally surfing the wave, Vulcan avoids all damage from the attack! ..Unfortunately, the wave smashes into Belladonna. Typhon's attack missed! Belladonna takes 20 damage!

As the wave weakens and moves further inland, Vulcan rolls around a bit, stops, and stands up, refreshed by his swim and still ready for battle! ...Meanwhile, Jormungandr somehow dodged a thunderbolt while in the thundercloud. (Lucky fish!)

Action 2:

Jormungandr, now plenty wet from its journey in the sky, comes flying down at super speed against Vulcan! Vulcan totally doesn't even see the attack coming until it's too late, but fortunately for him, the wind shifted just a little bit and Jormungandr completely misses its mark! Jormungandr used Bounce! Jormungandr's attack missed!

Note: Belladonna wins the Speed tie.

Belladonna is pretty shaken up by the fact that fish keep falling from the sky, and so gives the thing a nasty jolt of electricity for constantly scaring her! The electrical shock traces throughout Jormungandr's fins, causing its reflexes to drop to unspeakably low levels for such an otherwise agile fish! Belladonna used Thunder Wave! Jormungandr was paralyzed!

Vulcan, just as surprised as Belladonna by the falling fish, chooses to ignore it and focus on Typhon more. Frustrated by the terrible aim with his last attack, he decides to use a more accurate one this time. Once more charging into the water and leaping at the Lapras, this time he keeps his head up so that he can see where he's going! With a swift grab at the neck, Vulcan lands on Typhon's shell and begins pounding it with powerful thrusts of its fists! Vulcan used Arm Thrust! It's super effective! Typhon takes 13 damage! It hit 2 time(s)!

Lapras reels from the constant barrage of attacks, and tries to muster the energy to go on, but has problems getting itself going! It seems that the electical jolt it suffered earlier really put a stop to it this time. Typhon can't move! It's fully paralyzed!

Action 3:

Note: Vulcan wins the Speed tie.

Vulcan takes the initiative this turn, and it pays off too because he's holding onto the shell of a paralyzed Lapras! Vulcan leaps up in the air and dives head first at Typhon's skull with his own! Somehow, though, the wind pulls Vulcan's attack off course and sends it straight into the water nearby instead! Vulcan used Head Smash! Vulcan's attack missed!

Belladonna can't get over the incompetency of her partner, since he's missed almost every attack attempted and even tried to attack her earlier! Regardless, she sighs and continues her own assault on Typhon, this time lashing out with a vicious psychic shock attack! Belladonna used Psyshock! Typhon takes 13 damage!

The now-paralyzed Magikarp frustratingly flops into the water and swims close to where Vulcan fell into the water. Spotting Vulcan swimming around beneath the surface trying to get back to land, Jormungandr sends several popping bubbles in his direction to do some damage! Jormungandr used Bubble! It's super effective! Vulcan takes 11 damage!

Lapras floats a bit forward in an attempt to pull together another wave, but just can't overcome its joints locking up due to paralysis! The Lapras instead reels in place, looking quite pained. Typhon can't move! It's fully paralyzed!

Vulcan, Head Smash-Arm Thrust-Head Smash on Lapras.
Bella, Thunderbolt-Psyshock-Thunderbolt on Lapras. On the second action, Mirror Coat if Lapras tries a special attack.

Well that round was a bit ridiculous. We'll just have to try everything again, so Jormungandr can use Bounce on Belladonna, and Typhon can use Surf over everyone, hopefully actually putting Vulcan out of our misery this time. Then you guys can continue just repeating this until Vulcan is finally out, and then Typhon can change to Hydro Pump on Belladonna, and Jormungandr can continue Bouncing on Belladonna. On the second action, if Vulcan is dead, Typhon should instead use Sing on Belladonna to avoid Mirror Coat.

The rain continues to fall.

Arena Effects:
  • Permanent and unstoppable rain is present on all days of the week except Wednesday, based upon the day when the referee performs his duties.
Action 1:

Note: Vulcan won the Speed tie.

After receiving a nasty hit from Magikarp while trying to swim back to shore, Vulcan hears a burbled message from his trainer and has the sudden instinctive response to swim to the surface. Vulcan does this, and swims at such a speed that he bursts out from the surface and into the air! The Pignite seems to soar through the air like some sort of superhero and crashes head-first into Typhon's shell! The attack hits so hard that it causes bits of shell to fly in random directions and strikes at the Lapras's vulnerable underside! Vulcan used Head Smash! It's super effective! A critical hit! Typhon takes 29 damage! Vulcan is hurt by recoil. Vulcan takes 14 damage.

Belladonna, smirking at the critical hit her partner scored after finally being useful, decides to follow suit and lay the damage on thick! She waves her arms in front of her and a bolt of lightning strikes forth from the rainclouds above and hits Typhon hard! Belladonna used Thunderbolt! It's super effective! Typhon takes 17 damage!

Despite being slightly slower, Jormungandr isn't taking any crap this time around. He flops a few times on the surface, but gets cut short by an electrical jolt from his muscles! He reels in agony and falls back into the water! Jormungandr can't move! It's fully paralyzed!

Lapras, frustrated after so much paralysis and so many critical hits, swims rapidly around the area to build up a gigantic wave and throws it at the shore! The attack's wave is overwhelmingly large, and this time, Vulcan gets caught in the brunt of it and gets tossed on land like a limp rag doll! Tragically, because Jormungandr couldn't get into the air, he got hit by the wave as well! Typhon used Surf! Belladonna takes 20 damage! It's super effective! Vulcan takes 1 damage! Jormungandr takes 16 damage!

Vulcan tumbles on the ground as the wave dies down, but he doesn't seem to be able to get up! X's have replaced his eyes, and he looks to be down for the count! Vulcan fainted! Typhon gains 1 KO counter!

Typhon looks up at his next quarry, the Gothorita, and knows he doesn't have much time. He has to strike and strike hard, or this will end brutally for him! But he's so weak...

Action 2:

A partner down, Belladonna grimaces furiously. She knows that she has to finish this or it will not end in her favor, what with it being 2 versus 1 and all! She leads this round with a psychic attack from her mind that crushes into Typhon's physical Defense! Belladonna used Psyshock! Typhon takes 9 damage!

Lapras reels in final agony from the attack, and collapses on the water's surface, X's in its eyes. The Lapras cannot urge forward, and has been utterly defeated. Typhon fainted! Belladonna gains 1 KO counter!

Jormungandr, seeing his partner's defeat, splashes harder than ever in order to bound into the air once more! This time, his paralysis doesn't stop him and he gets up high! Jormungandr used Bounce!

While in the storm cloud, though, Jormungandr gets struck by an electrifying jolt of thunder! Jormungandr takes 4 damage! Jormungandr's body became charged with electricity!

Action 3:

Belladonna looks around for her opponent, but can't seem to find it. Frustrated, she throws an electrical attack at the water to see if maybe it's hiding there and can be struck that way! Belladonna used Thunderbolt! Belladonna's attack missed..?

The lake's surface begins to rumble....
130.png

A red Gyarados bursts forth from the surface of the water and roars with immense ferocity at the Pokemon that dared disturb its slumber! It goes to attack, but then...

Jormungandr used Volt-Charged Bounce! It's super effective! A critical hit! Gyarados takes 27 damage! Gyarados takes the hit incredibly hard, and instead of Magikarp crashing into Belladonna, the Gyarados does with its higher Attack stat! Gyarados crashed into Belladonna! Belladonna takes 17 damage!

After the crash, the Gyarados decides that he'd rather not get too involved with this battle after all and slinks away into the deeps of the Lake of Rage once more. Jormungandr, weak but not out, floats in the water offshore while Belladonna recovers from getting hit by a gigantic Gyarados.

((In case anyone cares, that 'crash' was calculated as a *****(+1) Gyarados using STAB Bounce on Belladonna))

Belladonna stares down the small fishy, and you would swear that you saw Jormungandr gulp in anticipation of what was coming. Belladonna lashes out with a twirling motion and a bolt of electricity jumps across the water and fries the Magikarp thoroughly! Belladonna used Thunderbolt! It's super effective! Jormungandr takes 24 damage!

In that moment, it is as if time itself stops as the Magikarp floats motionless to the surface of the water. It's eyes have gone slightly pale, and it has clearly fainted from the ferocious blow it has just sustained. Belladonna sighs in victory, knowing that the deed is done. As the battle ends and the trainers shake hands, Belladonna can be seen helping Vulcan stand up and assist him as he stumbles off the battlefield, still not all there. The rain pounds harder than ever, but the fighting is over, and even in the rain all seems peaceful. Belladonna gains one KO counter!

PKMN Trainer Athenodoros has no more Pokemon!
PKMN Trainer iiMKUltra wins the battle!
