Attention competitive battlers in the North Alabama/Southern Tennesse area!

There is a Pokemon tournament, at Play N Trade in Hampton Cove AL in the Walmart shopping center on Saturday December 12th at 3 P.M

The rules are as follows,
Double Battle
Species Clause
Item Clause
No legenaries( Garchomp T-tar, etc. eligable)*
*can be explained in fuyrther detail on the day of the tournament*
The entry fee is $10.



The prizes are
$100 store credit for first place( Shiny Lugia/Ho-oh/Mew(Your choice))
$50 store credit for second place(One random shiny pokemon)
$25 store credit for third place(One random EV trained pokemon)
 
Wow! I really wish I was in the area, I would go to that in a heartbeat!

It's cool to see stores setting up local Video Game tournaments though, hope to see more.
 
Yeah, now that I'm a bit more awake and coherent I do have some questions about what the tournament rules are...

Is this going to be done over Battle Revolution? Like, teams at set level 50/100 or over DS?

No legendaries are allowed, but is this going to be a mostly OU tournament with some Ubers? What tiers are getting used?

I figure hacked Pokémon are also right out, but are you gonna have people checking carts for it? I own nothing to even hack with, but I've gotten some sketchy traded Pokémon in the past - I'd hate to get kicked out because someone else traded me a bum Poké.

I know I'm probably asking a lot of questions, but I've been to a lot of poorly planned tournaments and hate how half of the tournament is just waiting around for people to explain what you're supposed to do/where you're supposed to go. I like to know as much as I can about the rules in advance so I can come prepared and ready for fun, :D
 
I also am curious about levelling. If I have to have a team at precisely level 50, like VGC, it will have a definite negative impact on my likelihood of attending.

It will be played over Battle Revolution with 6 pokemon set to level 50
meh, and we are allowing pokesav'd pokemon

at the last tourny there was a kid who used eruption w/ only 1hp left and i got a good laugh, so come and you can laugh @ little kids, or one guy might use T-Bolt on your hoppowdon >.> sometimes there are noobs lol.

I would have lol'd so hard.I have to go to this tourny,but I need to get better first.

Maybe I could move to AL, buy a DS, get Heart Gold, find perfect Pokemon and pay the $10 entry fee to join....
