"When I grow up, I wanna be Azelf." - BigFatMantis 2021

Azelf @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Psychic
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Flamethrower

When not guarding Lake Valor, Azelf finds an effective niche as a fast offensive pivot in UU, offensively checking many threats like Zarude, Nihilego, Cobalion, and Thundurus-T. Its strong Psychic lets it slam Amoonguss and Conkeldurr. Knock Off removes items from its checks like Chansey, Mandibuzz, and Aegislash, crippling them for the rest of the match. U-turn lets Azelf pivot out against Slowking and Galarian Moltres, and it provides a big hit on Zarude. Flamethrower handles Steel-types like Jirachi, Aegislash, and Skarmory. Azelf fits well on teams with additional pivots like Zarude and Thundurus-T, which can bring it in against Pokemon like Skarmory and Amoonguss and pressure its checks like Slowking. Entry hazard support helps the pivot core force progress well, since Azelf removes Heavy-Duty Boots so often. Nihilego in particular handles Mandibuzz and has a good matchup against most Defoggers. Mamoswine greatly appreciates the pivot support Azelf gives, and in return, it can bust through Galarian Moltres. Aegislash pressures Chansey and Slowking heavily, and it likes Azelf crippling Celesteela and Galarian Moltres by removing their items.

When not guarding Valor Lakefront, Azelf finds an effective niche as a fast offensive pivot in UU, getting the jump on many threats like Zarude, Nihilego, and Cobalion. Might consider wording this to mention how its a solid offensive check to them too instead of just getting the jump on them, coul throw a thundy mention in too? Its strong Psychic lets it slam Amoonguss and Conkeldurr. Knock Off removes items from its checks like Chansey, Mandibuzz, and Aegislash, a steela or gmolt mention could be cool here if you could fit crippling them for the rest of the match. U-turn lets Azelf pivot out against Umbreon and Galarian Moltres, and provides a big hit on Zarude. Flamethrower handles Steel-types like Jirachi, Aegislash, and Skarmory. Azelf fits well on teams with additional pivots like Zarude and Thundurus-T, as they can dash in and out of each others checks like Swampert, Amoonguss, and Mandibuzz respectively. This line isn't necessarily super clear and kind of reads like swampert is a zarude check and mandi is a thundy check, would try and word this a bit more carefully. Mamoswine greatly appreciates the pivot support it gets, and in return it can bust through Galarian Moltres. Can maybe bring up like another offensive mon that appreciates the pivoting here? Aegislash is a nice example that comes to mind of something that can heavily pressure Chansey/Slowking and likes Azelf crippling Steela for it (this gets you that steela mention for the knock bit from before without cluttering that section)
We rolling on about 683 characters pre spaces here so can buff up the content a little. In particular might like to talk about entry hazard support to help these azelf + say zarude/thundy cores that you mention make strong progress, noting that azelf has the ability to remove boots off of stuff. In particular you might care to bring up Nihilego who can help pressure shit like Gmolt/Mandi and is great at keeping rocks up.

Tag me on disc when you've implemented and i'll have another look over

Its strong Psychic lets it slam Amoonguss and Conkeldurr. Knock Off removes items from its checks like Chansey, Mandibuzz, Galarian Moltres, gonna change my mind on this one an move this mention further down to stop the lists being too long and Aegislash, crippling them for the rest of the match. U-turn lets Azelf pivot out against Umbreon goo for Slowking over Umbreon since its more overal relevant (and Umb doesn't really like handling Azelf that hasn't been revealed as ebelt etc already since wants to keep its lefties and would rather have something like slowking/chansey handle it) and Galarian Moltres, and provides a big hit on Zarude. Flamethrower handles Steel-types like Jirachi, Aegislash, and Skarmory. Azelf fits well on teams with additional pivots like Zarude and Thundurus-T that can bring it in against Pokemon like Skarmory and Amoonguss, and pressure its checks like Slowking. Nihilego in particular handles Mandibuzz and has a good matchup versus most Defoggers keeps hazards up often. Mamoswine greatly appreciates the pivot support it gets, and in return, it can bust through Galarian Moltres. Aegislash pressures through the popular Chansey/Slowking core heavily this isn't necessarily a core thats super common, just say that it presures the two of them seperately, and likes Azelf crippling Celesteela and Galarian Moltres by removing its their items Leftovers.
Should be good now! QC 1/1.
