LC Azurill

3247.gif

[OVERVIEW]
While Azurill's huge Attack stat and rare typing may seem enticing at first glance, a closer look reveals its biggest flaws: terrible Speed, mediocre bulk, a very shallow movepool, and a lack of Fairy-type STAB moves. After considering these factors, Azurill's niche is almost non-existent due to the existence of Bunnelby, a far more effective offensive Normal-type because of its significantly better Speed tier and coverage options. While Azurill’s very lacking Speed may make it seem like a decent pick on Trick Room teams, there are far better options that are able to set Trick Room themselves or more easily switch into play; in addition, Trick Room is not considered a viable archetype in LC. You're almost always better off running a more reliable Normal-type wallbreaker such as Bunnelby or even Meowth.

[SET]
name: Trick Room Sweeper
move 1: Double-Edge
move 2: Knock Off
move 3: Waterfall / Iron Tail
move 4: Return
item: Life Orb
ability: Huge Power
nature: Brave
evs: 196 HP / 196 Atk / 116 Def
ivs: 0 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
The set aims to take advantage of Trick Room's limited turns by maximizing Azurill’s offensive presence and minimizing its Speed. Access to Huge Power and salvageable coverage allows Azurill to perform decently well as a Trick Room sweeper, especially because it is one of Trick Room team's few physical options. However, even on Trick Room teams, it finds itself outclassed by sweepers that can set up Trick Room and take advantage of it for themselves, such as Spritzee, and outside of Trick Room, it finds itself entirely outclassed by Meowth and Bunnelby.

-I'd end the overview by re-iterating that it is outclassed (something like "teams should almost always opt for a more reliable attacker like Bunnelby or Meowth, however")
- Set looks ok, don't slash Sing though
- Set description is where we run into problems. The format we want for an analysis like this is 1 sentence describing what the set aims to do, 1 sentence describing any advantage it has, and 1 sentence re-iterating that it is outclassed. In this case, sentence 1 should say that it aims to set up TR and then deal damage, sentence 2 should say that it is one of the few physical attackers that can set up TR, but that it does it extremely unreliably and doesn't have the coverage to abuse it, and sentence 3 should give some better TR users/abusers (Spritzee) and better Physical attackers.

"However, its very lacking speed gives it a small niche on teams centered around Trick Room, although these are very matchup dependent and unreliable in LC."

I think this is too positive for a niche that isn't really a thing. this is wordier but I'm thinking something like

"While its very lacking speed may make it seem usable on Trick Room, there are far better abusers that are able to set Trick Room themselves or can more easily get into play after a teammate has used Trick Room; in addition, dedicated Trick Room is not considered a viable archetype in LC."

looks good otherwise, 2/2
