(B/W2) Strength, Speed and Sand

Intro:

Hi, I'm quite new to the scene on Smogon but I have been using their guides and strategys for quite a while. Recently I have obtained a software called Pokemon Online and the rest is history.

I have made a team revolved around sand which is arguably the best standing weather today. This team has served me well against many oppoments, even Kyogre loses to the team with the correct calculations. I'd like to share this team with you to see what you all think.

Also, this is one of the earliest Black and White 2 RMTs so rate it to see if holds in the current metagame.

In Depth:

Excadrill (M) @ Life Orb
530.png

Trait: Sand Rush
Adamant Nature
EVs: 252 Att, 4 SpD, 252 Spe
Earthquake
Rock Slide
X-Scissor
Swords Dance

My favorite Pokemon is obviously the one who I built this team around. In sand, Excadrill is fast, strong and deadly to any Pokemon unready for it. Earthquake is for STAB and it hurts like hell, Rock Slide works in conjunction with Earthquake and with his speed so Pokemon can flinch. X-Scissor is just a filler, feel free to suggest a better move and finally, when the time right, A Swords Dance will be set making all battles almost always GGs.

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
248.png

Trait: Sand Stream
Lonely Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Att, 4 SpA
Stealth Rock
Stone Edge
Fire Blast
Pursuit

Excadril can't sweep without this guy's trait and Tyranitar is superior over Hippowdon in this job. Infamous for all these roles, they have been put onto one moveset. Tyranitar can set up Stealth Rock which is important in today's metagame, he can get rid of Pokemon that try to escape with STAB Pursuit, tear through oppoments with STAB Stone Edge and use Fire Blast for Steel Types that try to ruin his sweep with Stone Edge.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
472.png

Trait: Poison Heal
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 176 Def, 80 Spe
Swords Dance
Earthquake
Ice Fang
Roost

This guy laughs at any Fighting attacks thrown at it as both Excadrill and Tyranitar are weak to this type. Earthquake is for STAB, Ice Fang is for opposing Ground types, Swords Dance can turn him in to a heavy hitter that can finish battles and Roost allows it to heal up as it can now use via move tutor.

Jellicent (M) @ Leftovers
593.png

Trait: Water Abosrb
Bold Nature
EVs: 248 HP, 216 Def, 44 Spe
Scald
Toxic
Recover
Taunt

This guy laughs at any Water attacks and rain in general, a weather that all my team members at this point fear. Even Kyogre struggles on this beast. Scald gains STAB and can burn at times meaning the team is safe from physical attacks, Toxic cripples Water types and Pokemon this resist Scald, Recover heals lost damage if Jellicent hasn't switched in on a Water move and Taunt stops Pokemon from setting up on it or destroying its stall. Blissey eat your heart out.

Skarmory (F) @ Leftovers
227.png

Trait: Sturdy
Impish Nature
EVs: 252 HP, 232 Def, 24 Spe
Spikes
Whirlwind
Roost
Taunt

The main wall of the team and a source to many wins for me. Spikes works with Tyranitar's Stealth Rock and many Pokemon switching in to it will have a nasty shock, Whirlwind gets rid of set-up Pokemon and can get other teammates onto the Spikes, Roost heals when Skarmory is low on health which is great as he is fast enough to use it and Taunt stops Pokemon from taunting him.

Landorus (M) @ Expert Belt
645.png

Trait: Sand Force
Naive Nature
EVs: 228 Att, 28 SpA, 252 SpA
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Hidden Power (Ice)
U-Turn

A back-up sweeper for when Excadrill gets knocked out and a geat one at that. He dosen't need Swords Dance, he can just use an Expert Belt. Earthquake hurts with an Expert Belt boost, Stone Edge works well with EQ and kills Dragonite and Salamence, Hidden Power kills off Dragons who won't die to Stone Edge and U-Turn allows it to get away from potential threats, U-Turn also works with Landorus' speed too.

Thats my team. If there are any improvements needed. Point them out. I'll be glad to hear sensible suggetions to make this team even better. Till then, See you next post.

And it's not even a BW2 rate, the new mons aren't in the team nor in a threat list. I'd say swap Excadrill with a strong special attacker (which you need) and make the team OU

Exactly. Thats a problem with my team. Suggest some Uber replacements for some of these Pokemon.

Try and find ways to put these new things in as the only new thing I have is Roost Gliscor. Thats why its called a Rate My Team. :P

honestly, for us to make this team into a team fit for uber play, it would require a massive re-working of your team. Not to sound like a prick, but this is Rate My Team, not Make My Team. I feel like you should bring this to the OU RMT and try and find something OU acceptable to replace Excadrill with, and then start from the ground up trying to make an Uber Team, since even set wise and play style wise I can see that you are more in the mindset of an OU player rather than an Uber player
