Baby Metagame

Why was Ponyta banned? Last time I checked, Ponyta was considered as not too powerful despite having the best stats in the LC, kinda like Arcanine.

Stuff like Sneasel and Gligar would indeed be bannified, as well as Munchlax. Indeed, as said earlier, everything that couldn't evolve in RSE but can now needs to be out of this. You have fun facing a Gligar >.>
 
Right, Meditite and Azurill.

Ponyta runs a Rapidash-esque set, Flare Blitz/Megahorn/Hypnosis/Double-Edge, which is really effective if not broken in LC.

Also, since all Pokemon are level 5, they can only have moves they get from the Move Tutor, Egg moves, or TMs. Unless they learn a level up move before Level 5. Also, I think EVs are banned, since you can't EV train a Pokemon really when it's level 5.

If you breed a Weepinbell and an Exeggcutor and both have Sleep Powder, the baby would get it too, so level up moves would be allowed. Just pointing that out.

Isn't Wynaut also banned?
 
Omanyte would be OU in that,since it has 90 base sp.atk and 100 defense,while Swift Swim makes it fast and even more punishing.
Trapinch can be banned in this metagame.
Roselia is painful as hell too,like Piloswine
Remoraid and Hustle can hurt
Nosepass can finally shine here(Ok,not so much)

Roselia/Nosepass/Piloswine maybe can't be eligible,though.
 
There was an even older Little Cup thread last summer, but due to lack of search function, I'm not going to go looking.

Thick Club Cubone wasn't allowed in Sunny Park Little Cup on PBR, and neither was Phoine for that matter.

I used Sneasel, Cranidos, and Spoink with much success. Sneasel is very quick and powerful. Cranidos in PBR with Choice Band and EV trained with speed basically outspeeds 75% of the Pokemon, and OHKOs with Rock Head.
Spoink + Charge Beam worked well.

I would like to see this metagame developed, it'd be a lot of fun. :)
 
Phione doesn't evolve, so it automatically is banned. I can see omanyte being banned, and also Wailmer. It has 130 Base HP, which is waay to high, espically with Rest and leftovers.
 
A lot of the "bans" seem to be things with only 1 evolution. Why not just set it initially to things with 3 stages, and only allow the lowest stage? That seems like it would yield the most diverse meta.

Cubone Can't use Thick Club? You sure about that? Cause mine was so effective holding it that I would be surprised if it wasn't allowed
 
Cubone can't use Thick Club there. I'm pretty sure it still works on it.

Good idea Dane. I think baby Pokémon should be the only exception to that rule (Tyrouge, Smoochum, etc). Munchlax and Mantyke should still be banned.
 
You know what most of the named pokemon have in common? They were obtained at there lowest form late in the game in RBY, Omanyte, Kabuto, Koffing, Ponyta ect.. I don't think all Base pokemon in a 2 pokemon line that aren't babies need to be banned

Eevee, Ratata, Remoraid aren't overpowered
